Responds to Demand

Prices rise when visitors buy quickly and ease toward your floor when they don't

Every Tier Moves Together

All paid tiers move by the same proportion, so the gap between GA and VIP stays the same

You Stay in Control

How to Set Up Dynamic Pricing

Get started in under 2 minutes from your event dashboard

1

Open Your Event's Sales Tab

In your dashboard, open the event and go to Sales. The Smart Pricing panel sits under the sales figures (Elevate and Amplify events). You can also switch it on in the event wizard's Smart Pricing step.

2

Set Your Range

Choose how high prices may go (10–100% above today's price) and how low (0–50% below, or never lower). Today's prices become the base every move is measured from.

3

Choose How Changes Happen

Ask me first emails you each suggestion to apply or dismiss. Change automatically moves prices on its own and emails you after every change.

4

Pick a Pace and Turn It On

Gentle, Balanced or Bold sets the size of each step (3%, 5% or 8%). Balanced suits most events. Press Turn on Smart Pricing.

Best Practices
  • Start with Ask me first and Balanced — you see every suggestion and its reason before anything changes.
  • Keep the range modest at first — +25% / −15% (the default) gives room to respond without surprising anyone.
  • Turn it on once your prices are final — editing a price yourself pauses Smart Pricing, and resuming starts again from your new prices.
  • Read the price history on the Sales tab — every change lists the buyers, page views and conversion that caused it.

The Buyer Experience

One clear price — the current one

What Buyers See

No hidden fees. Price you see is what you pay.
Buyers see one price — the current one. No history, no countdown. A buyer keeps the price they saw once tickets are in their cart.

Built-in Guardrails

What Smart Pricing will never do

  • Go above your ceiling or below your floor — on any tier, even after rounding.
  • Change more than once a day, or more than one step at a time.
  • Change a price while a buyer has those tickets in an open checkout.
  • Change a price in the last 24 hours before your event, or on a draft or cancelled event.
  • Lower prices once 80% of the tickets are sold.
  • Override you — if you edit a price, it pauses and tells you.
  • Touch add-ons, free or pay-what-you-can tickets, membership passes, rooms, or tiers with price steps.

Troubleshooting & Edge Cases

Common questions when things don't behave as expected

Price isn't changing

Smart Pricing needs at least 50 event page views in 48 hours before it decides anything, changes at most once a day, and holds when conversion is inside the target range. If a suggestion is waiting for you, nothing else moves until you apply or dismiss it. The panel's Last check line says why the price held.

Smart Pricing paused by itself

It pauses when you change a price yourself (in the wizard or the dashboard), so it never overwrites your decision. Press Resume on the Sales tab; it starts again from your current prices.

Multi-day or multi-tier events

All Smart-Priced tiers move together, by the same proportion, based on the whole event's demand. A tier with price steps (dated price rises) is never Smart-Priced — each tier uses one or the other.

Free or donation-based tickets

Smart Pricing only applies to paid, fixed-price tiers. Free tickets, donation tiers, and sliding-scale options are unaffected. Use the separate Donations & Sliding Scale feature for those.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, it works both ways. Prices rise when your event page turns visitors into buyers quickly, and ease down toward your floor when they don't. If you never want prices lowered, set "Lowest it may go" to "Never lower".
