Descripción
The Kripalu Retreat for Men is an outdoor adventure for men of all ages, held on the residential campus of Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It is a men's retreat built around unplugging from technology, practicing yoga and meditation, and learning hands-on outdoor skills in the company of other men. It is led by Micah Mortali, founder of Kripalu's School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership and an author, together with Kripalu faculty member Christopher Holmes.
What to Expect
The retreat runs for four days, with a rhythm that moves between movement, stillness, skill-building and conversation. Together, the group learns to birth fire with flint and steel, meditates outdoors, practices yoga on the mat, and explores traditional archery. The aim is to reflect, heal, and gather strength and inspiration, and to reconnect with what the program calls our wild selves.
Evenings close around a roaring fire in council sessions, a chance to share and listen in community. Men are encouraged to bring a few friends and take the adventure together.
The daily schedule is steady and simple:
- 6:30 to 7:45 am: Kripalu Yoga class
- 7:30 to 9:00 am: Silent breakfast
- 9:00 to 11:30 am: Program session
- 11:30 am to 1:30 pm: Lunch
- 1:30 to 4:00 pm: Program session
- 4:45 to 6:00 pm: Kripalu Yoga class
- 5:30 to 7:30 pm: Dinner
- 7:00 to 9:00 pm: Program session
On the opening day, check-in begins at 2:00 pm, followed by yoga at 4:45, dinner, and an opening program session from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. On the closing day, the morning yoga class and silent breakfast are followed by a final program session from 9:30 to 11:30 am, then lunch and departure. Actual times may vary, and the schedule given at check-in lists room locations.
