説明
Collective Rest is an online wellness retreat evening from Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, led by yoga and meditation teacher Reggie Hubbard. It brings together gentle movement, sound and meditative silence for people who find the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas heavy, busy or emotionally complicated.
The season can carry holiday parties, a faster pace, grief, loss and shorter days all at once. This 90-minute session on Zoom offers a way to pause, rest the nervous system and practice ease in the company of a compassionate group. No experience with yoga, meditation or sound work is needed.
What to Expect
The evening runs from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Eastern time and unfolds as a single live session. It begins with an opening and an orientation to the nervous system, then moves into a gentle movement practice. From there the group settles into sound work and silence, which are meant to bring mental clarity and a moment of restoration.
Later, there is a facilitated discussion of restorative practices that can support wellness at this time of year. The session closes with a reflection.
The aim is practical: to nourish self-care practices that cultivate ease, to form a sense of community within the group, and to leave with ways of sustaining calm during demanding periods. Traditions drawn on include yoga, meditation and sound healing, and the session is taught in English.
