Throughout my life and career, I've had the blessing of working alongside some of the world's most beloved spiritual teachers and artists — people like Ram Dass, Tara Brach, Deepak Chopra, Krishna Das, Deva Premal & Miten, Snatam Kaur, and many others who have illuminated millions of hearts with their presence.
For over two decades, my work in sacred music and event production has allowed me to witness how these extraordinary beings carry and transmit truth through sound, service, and community. But over time, I began to recognize something quieter — a truth that has guided the very spirit of BrightStar since its beginning.
It wasn't always the most visible teachers who had the deepest impact. Sometimes the brightest light shines far from the spotlight.
In my early twenties, I met a teacher who would transform my life — Gabriel Perstyn. He wasn't a celebrity or author. He was a carpenter by trade, but a master of energy, stillness, and embodied awareness.
A small group of us would gather in his backyard in San Francisco to study martial arts that transcended physical movement. What he shared was far beyond technique — it was the transmission of presence itself.
For over twenty years, until his passing, I studied with Gabriel and saw what true mastery looks like: humility, precision, and a quiet devotion to truth. He never sought attention. His teaching lived in silence.
Another enduring influence on my path is Professor Paramjeet Singh, my Kirtan teacher for more than two decades. He represents a deeply traditional lineage — teaching children and adults the sacred devotional music of India. He has no interest in fame or self-promotion, only in preserving the living spirit of Gurbani Kirtan, the ancient Sikh art of singing divine poetry.
The humility, discipline, and grace of these teachers — both known and unknown — continue to shape how I approach life, service, and creativity. They are, in essence, the foundation upon which BrightStar was built.
The Birth of BrightStar
When I founded BrightStar, my original vision was to create a bridge between spiritual event organizers and the audiences who longed for their work — a platform where consciousness could meet community.
Over the years, BrightStar has helped thousands of creators bring their offerings to life: sacred music concerts, yoga festivals, meditation retreats, and transformative workshops. From intimate gatherings in small towns to major global tours, we've walked alongside teachers and artists dedicated to awakening through love and service.
But as BrightStar has evolved, something deeper has been calling us — quietly but insistently — to expand our mission.
We realized that what we built was never meant to be just a place for event ticketing. It's becoming a home for expression.
A New Chapter: BrightStar's Open Forum for Conscious Creators
We are now opening BrightStar's platform to all conscious creators, not only those hosting events. Whether you're a teacher, musician, artist, healer, author, poet, podcaster, or mindfulness guide — BrightStar is your space to share your light with the world.
Our new open blogging platform is an invitation to express your truth freely and authentically. You don't need fame, followers, or technical know-how — just sincerity and a desire to serve.
This is an absolutely free, open forum where creators can publish articles, reflections, music, guided meditations, album releases, podcasts, videos, and teachings — and reach a global audience already attuned to spirituality, mindfulness, and conscious living.
You can create a free BrightStar account in seconds and begin sharing your gifts with the world — no paywalls, no restrictions, no gatekeeping.
Why This Matters
We live in a time when authentic voices are too often drowned out by algorithms that reward spectacle over sincerity. Many of today's most genuine creators struggle to find spaces that honor depth, nuance, and integrity.
That's why BrightStar stands apart as a sanctuary — a digital gathering place for those who wish to uplift consciousness rather than chase clicks.
Our mission is to empower you to connect, create, and contribute — to share what is real and sacred in your own way.
BrightStar is becoming much more than a ticketing platform — it's a living ecosystem of conscious creators and seekers. A place where events, art, and wisdom come together in a spirit of authenticity and service.
Our purpose is, and always will be, Seva — selfless service. Monetization plays a supporting role, not the lead. The real measure of success is how much light we help circulate in the world.
From Events to Evolution
BrightStar began as a ticketing platform for spiritual events, but it's now growing into a movement — one that celebrates creativity, truth, and connection in every form.
We've seen firsthand how a single gathering can awaken hearts. But we've also seen how a song, a story, or a single blog post can travel across the world and transform lives.
Now, we're inviting you to be part of that movement.
If you have something to share — a teaching, a guided meditation, a new album release, a poem, a reflection, a video, or even a personal story — you're welcome here. You can embed your podcasts, music, or videos directly into your posts, reaching a global audience eager for authenticity and inspiration.
