Michelle Parmita Voeller has taught yoga since 2004. She is a Reiki Master Teacher, a former educator, a yoga studio founder and a retreat leader, and she is based in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. She offers her work online and in person through Natural Harmony Healing & Spiritual Fellowship.
Her path began in the classroom, with years at Cherry Creek Schools in Colorado. Alongside teaching, she felt a pull toward practice, the body and the sacred. In 2006 she opened Harmony Yoga in Denver, a studio she ran for nearly a decade and describes as community, proving ground and home.
Her yoga is classical Hatha and alignment-based. It is grounded in the teachings of Yoga Master Sri Baba Hari Dass and the eight-limbed path of Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali, including breath work (pranayama) and meditation. He gave her the spiritual name "Parmita," meaning Limitless. Energy meditation and Ayurveda also weave into her sessions. Her training includes Classical Hatha Yoga certification (2004), Ayurveda Yoga Therapy (2008), Reiki Master Teacher (2015) and Holistic Health Coaching (2022).
Today she offers live weekly yoga shaped by Ayurveda and the seasons, Reiki healing in person and at a distance, and holistic coaching. She also leads gatherings with meditation, Vedic mantra, breathwork and New Moon Satsang, and small-group women's retreats on the North Carolina coast, in the Colorado mountains and in Nicaragua. Many offerings are donation-based, and people of any background or experience level are welcome.
"I don't teach from a curriculum," she says on her website. "I teach from what I know is real — from 20 years of sitting with students, from my own grief and joy and practice. The work is only useful if it's honest."
