Gary Zukav

Gary Zukav

American spiritual teacher and bestselling author whose 1989 book The Seat of the Soul became one of the foundational texts of the late-twentieth-century New Spirituality movement and a defining work in the post-physics integration of science, consciousness, and authentic-power teaching that emerged in the same era. Born 1942, Zukav graduated from Harvard, served in the Special Forces in Vietnam, and wrote the National Book Award-winning The Dancing Wu Li Masters (1979), one of the first popular books to draw philosophical parallels between quantum physics and Eastern mysticism. The Seat of the Soul, published a decade later, has remained continuously in print, sold more than six million copies, and made multiple long stays on the New York Times bestseller list — including a 31-week run after Oprah Winfrey featured it on her show. With his partner Linda Francis, Zukav founded the Seat of the Soul Institute and has written six further books deepening the framework: The Heart of the Soul, Soul Stories, The Mind of the Soul, Spiritual Partnership, Universal Human, and others.
