Descripción
The Rest and Renew Winter Retreat is a four-day yoga retreat in Walhalla, Michigan, built around yin yoga, restorative yoga, myofascial release and yoga nidra. It is a gentle, slow-paced weekend meant for deep rest, comfort and renewal, and it suits the quiet weeks after the holidays. Adults of any experience level are welcome, beginners included. Stephanie Lynn, a Michigan-based yoga and meditation teacher, leads it.
What to Expect
The retreat runs from a Thursday afternoon check-in at 4:30 PM to a Sunday checkout at 1:00 PM. Friday and Saturday are the heart of it, with daily yin and restorative yoga classes alongside yoga nidra and myofascial release sessions. Sunday begins with a final morning practice before people depart.
The practices work together. Yin and restorative yoga use long, supported holds that let the body settle. Myofascial release is woven throughout, with instruction you can take home. Yoga nidra, the guided practice of yogic sleep, offers rest that is deliberate rather than passive. The aim is restoration of body, mind and spirit, and this retreat has been an annual favorite for over a decade.
