Yoga-Retreat
Beschreibung
This yoga retreat in Sayulita, Mexico, is a seven-day vinyasa flow week built around strength, balance and mobility in midlife and beyond. Led by Kate Harding (RYT 500) at Haramara Retreat on the Nayarit coast, it welcomes all levels, including beginners, and suits people who come alone, with a friend or with a partner.
What to Expect
The week pairs movement and breath with effort and rest, play and journaling. Each day has two yoga classes: a morning flow and an afternoon wind-down. Daily journaling prompts give the practice a quieter, reflective thread, and the focus throughout is on self-care and self-awareness.
Kate aims to build the qualities that help us stay vital as we age: strength, balance and mobility. Her classes tie movement to breath and balance effort with ease. First-time students get steady support, and experienced practitioners find enough challenge to deepen what they already do.
Between classes the time is yours. People explore the beach, go whale-watching, wander into the town of Sayulita, rest by the pool, or settle into a hammock after a spa treatment. Past participants say the retreat is a good place to make friends and find community.
About Kate Harding
Kate Harding (RYT 500) has practiced yoga for more than 25 years and teaches with love, laughter, compassion and encouragement. Her aim is a challenge that is accessible to everyone, whether young or not-so-young, seasoned or new. She believes the path to self-knowledge runs through the body, and that yoga helps us tap into our own inner wisdom.
She continues to study with teachers including Judith Hanson Lasater, Jason Crandall, Mark Stephens and Janet Stone, and she blends that training into her own supportive style. Many first-time yogis have become committed practitioners under her guidance.
The Setting
Haramara Retreat sits on a jungle hillside above the Pacific, just outside Sayulita. The resort is eco-conscious: meals are made from fresh, local, organic ingredients, and three are served each day. Most of the rooms have no electricity. They are lit by oil lamps and have open-air showers, which makes for a simple, unhurried way of living close to nature.
Rooms are available as single, double, triple or quad occupancy. Women can also choose the luxury female dorm, which has eight beds and two full bathrooms. Airport transfers to and from Haramara are included. Travelers fly into Puerto Vallarta.
