Beschreibung

The Practice of Feeling is an evening breathwork and sound workshop at Werklab in Vancouver, British Columbia, led by Carolyn Anne Budgell with Kelbey on sound. It is for anyone who wants a quiet, supported space to slow down, turn inward and care for themselves amid the fullness of the season. People are invited to come as they are, with all that they're carrying.

What to Expect

The evening runs from 7:00 to 8:30 PM on a Wednesday. Through guided breathwork, immersive sound and quiet reflection, the group slows down together. The invitation is to feel what needs to be felt, release what's ready to be released and restore what has been depleted.

The central practice is Transformational Conscious Connected Breathwork, an active meditation that uses a continuous, circular breathing pattern to support entry into an expanded, non-ordinary state of awareness. Breathwork of this kind can help you shift out of habitual patterns, meet limiting beliefs with greater clarity and move or release stored emotion.

The session begins with a gentle arrival, followed by a guided breathwork practice held with care and support throughout. Options are offered to suit your experience, and there is time for grounding, rest and reflective writing.

Together, the group will explore:

- Conscious Connected Breathwork
- Heart-Centered Meditations
- Reflective Writing Prompts
- Sound Activation, with Kelbey weaving the journey through his musical gifts

About Carolyn Anne Budgell

Carolyn Anne Budgell is a meditation and mindfulness teacher, breathwork facilitator, retreat leader and coach. She supports individuals, teachers and organizations through practices that build resilience, presence and nervous system awareness. Her motto is "Practicing for life," and she believes life itself is the practice, not how many hours you can sit quietly on a cushion.

She came to meditation by accident, on a yoga retreat with Clara Roberts-Oss, expecting to giggle through backbends and finding the quiet sitting challenging and emotionally uncomfortable. She sensed there was wisdom in that discomfort. As a young woman she left home at sixteen and later found her way to Whistler, British Columbia, where she immersed yoga. She completed her first 200-hour teacher training in 2008.

About Kelbey

Kelbey joins Carolyn for the evening and brings the sound element, weaving the breathwork journey together through his musical gifts.
