Beschreibung

The Sunday General Program is a weekly Buddhist meditation class in Austin, Texas, themed around learning to think positively. It is open to everyone, including people who have never meditated, and is taught by Noreen Flack, Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Austin. The class is offered as a hybrid event, so it can be attended in person or online.

What to Expect

The class meets on Sundays from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm. It draws on the Buddhist teaching that by training the mind in positive ways of thinking, we can gradually create the inner conditions for true happiness to come about.

The focus is practical. You learn methods for redirecting unhelpful thoughts and for cultivating a more positive, peaceful mind, so that the happiness you truly wish for becomes something you can experience rather than only hope for. The format is a morning class built around teaching and meditation, in the Kadampa Buddhist tradition.
