Soul Voice – PachaMama, Costa Rica

Soul Voice is a three-day voice workshop at PachaMama Eco Village & Retreat Center in Nicoya, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. It is open to music lovers and to anyone who wants to come into deeper contact with their own voice, held in what the organizers describe as a safe and loving atmosphere. If you have wondered about singing, sound and the voice as a way into presence, this spiritual workshop in the Costa Rican forest is a gentle place to begin.

What to Expect

The gathering runs for three days and centers on the voice: finding it, using it and feeling at home in it. The invitation is aimed as much at people who love music as at those who simply feel drawn to explore how their own sound lives in the body. No particular singing background is named as a requirement.

The Setting

PachaMama is an eco village and retreat center in the tropical forest near Nicoya, in the province of Guanacaste. Its calendar includes meditation retreats, body cleanse programs, emotional healing workshops, yoga workshops, Red Road ceremonies and musical journeys, so the place is used to people arriving with open questions and a wish to slow down.

The center closes for September and October, during Costa Rica's rainy season, and reopens in November. Soul Voice takes place in the dry-season months when the center is open.
