Malte Marten – Healing Frequencies Tour, Copenhagen

Malte Marten brings his Healing Frequencies Tour to Copenhagen for an evening of live handpan music at Wallmans Cirkusbygningen. This handpan concert is for anyone who already listens to his music to fall asleep, work or meditate, and wants to hear it in a room with other people. It is a seated, unhurried show for those who want to slow down, breathe and let the outside world grow a little quieter.

What to Expect

Malte plays handpan with his trio: Conrado Molina on percussion and voice, and Bummela, a multi-instrumentalist and producer. Together they make a rich, spacious sound that feels intimate even in a large room. The handpan is a steel instrument played with the hands, with a warm tone full of overtones, a little like bells.

The evening is shaped from beginning to end. The music, the silence between songs and the stories Malte shares are all part of one flowing experience rather than a simple setlist. The concert lasts about two hours, with no pressure and nowhere else to be. Most shows on the tour start at 8 pm, and doors usually open 75 minutes earlier. The exact times are on your ticket.

About Malte Marten

Malte Marten is a handpan artist, composer and teacher whose music has reached listeners around the world. His path began in 2014, when he saw a video of the duo Hang Massive. He sold the music equipment he owned as a beatmaker and DJ to buy his first handpan, and later played on the streets of Berlin. From 2015 to 2020 he toured with his former duo, Yatao. Over those years teaching became a passion alongside performing, and the duo gave workshops and retreats and co-founded the YataoShop, a place for people to take their first steps with the instrument.

In 2021 the duo's project ended and Malte began his solo work, funding his first solo studio album through crowdfunding. His videos on Instagram and YouTube have since found a wide audience. His work rests on a simple idea: music can create space to slow down, breathe and reconnect with yourself.

The Venue

Wallmans Cirkusbygningen is the old circus building next to Tivoli in Copenhagen, a few minutes from Copenhagen Central Station, which makes it easy to reach by train.

Before You Go

All venues on the tour are seated, and no experience with music or meditation is needed. Child tickets are available for ages 12 and up, and wheelchair spaces can be arranged with the tour team directly. Tickets should only be bought through the official links, so that they are valid and sold at face value, and resale platforms are best avoided.
