Level 2: The Power of Sound Healing Training

Level 2: The Power of Sound Healing Training is a two-day, in-studio sound healing certification course at AKI Sound Studio in Brussels, Belgium. It is an intermediate training for people who have completed Level 1 and want to deepen their work with Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls, music theory and ceremony. It is taught by Lama Brian Hilliard and Shannon van Staden, whose decades of international teaching bring both practical skill and a contemplative view of sound.

What to Expect

The training runs over a weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 09:00 to 17:30 each day. It moves beyond the basics into interval practice, music theory and advanced transmissions, with the aim of shaping sound journeys that are precise, creative and present.

Day 1 opens with a sound bath and the setting of sacred space. From there you explore mind, intention and primordial sound as the basis of healing. You work with the eight Intervals of Life, each paired with an experience such as grounding, releasing tension, navigating emotion or embodying breakthrough. You also study overtones and harmonics as resonance keys for the subtle body, and discover your key note, your individual body and mind frequency. The day closes with group practice on the crystal bowls.

Day 2 begins with bodhicitta, the awakened heart, as the foundation of sound healing. You then learn to build safe, ceremonial space for group exploration, and work with voice and mantra, using vowels and consonants to support healing. Music theory and vibrational healing are brought together, followed by alchemical transformation practices with bowls and voice. The weekend ends with a group performance on shamanic instruments, deep relaxation and integration, plus guidance on bringing these practices into your own facilitation, whether in private sessions or group sound baths.

Other themes include the Chakra Tune-Up with interval-based practice, low, mid and high tones for stabilising and expanding, the pairing of breath, rhythm and tone, and the Four Stages of Perception for designing multidimensional ceremonies. The teaching draws on Buddhist and shamanic threads.

About Shannon van Staden

Shannon is a yoga teacher known for her yin yoga classes and alchemy crystal sound baths, which she offers as an inner and outer journey. She has a strong background in meditation training and practice. She is co-founder of Crystal Singing Bowls Europe, the first sound temple of alchemy crystal bowls in Brussels, and co-teaches The Power of Sound Healing trainings. She also holds the free discovery calls for people deciding which level suits them.

The Setting

The training takes place at AKI Sound Studio, Avenue Oscar van Goidtsnoven 3, in Uccle, Brussels. Each training has one assistant place. The assistant arrives the evening before to help prepare the space and supports the group through the breaks, in exchange for a reduced fee. Shannon reads each application herself.

Before You Go

- Prerequisite: completion of Level 1: The Power of Sound Healing Training.
- Bowl: you need at least one Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowl. If you do not own one, bowls can be bought through the studio, and it is best to contact them before the training.
- Language: English.
- Included: a 150-page bound training manual, an AKI tote bag and gift, and a 60-minute in-person bowl consultation. After you complete the case study assignment, there is an online closing ceremony. Studio bowls and harmonised healing sets are discounted for seven days after the training.
- Certification: on completing the full training days you receive a certificate recognised by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA).
- Payment: a non-refundable deposit secures your place, with the balance due ten days before the training.
