Beschreibung

GOAT Community Intimate Experience is a five-day, five-night festival of music, nature and art in São Pedro do Sul, in the Viseu region of Portugal. It is built for people who want a gathering where they belong to a circle rather than drift through a crowd: a family-style reunion of around 2,000 people, with live music, workshops and facilitated practices woven through the days and nights.

GOAT describes itself as a Mountain Temple of Nature, Music & Art. It began as the shared dream of five friends devoted to their community, and it was created to offer a safe, soulful space for those who come to connect, belong and celebrate.

What to Expect

The festival runs for five days and five nights, and the rhythm of each day follows the light. Daytime is given to nature, workshops and guided practices. As evening comes, the mood shifts, and the organizers describe the change this way: from daylight into starlight, with a new energy among the people by the time night arrives. The night is when the curated music, lights and art come fully alive.

Across the festival you can expect:

- More than 45 musicians playing sets meant to uplift and inspire.
- More than 20 facilitators leading workshops and practices.
- A lakeside stage as one of the gathering places for music.
- A community of about 2,000 people, small enough that the festival keeps an intimate, familial feel.

Past editions have brought a wide range of artists, among them Adil & Larry Oz, Chafic, Deer Jade, Djoons, Double Dee, Edgar Valente, John Woods, Mandrake, Mashrik, Mimi Love, Mona Pirzad, Nasiri, Omer Tayar, Philipp Johann Thimm, Rampue, Salimbeni, Sébastien Léger and Socko. This gives a sense of the musical range, from melodic and electronic sounds to more rooted, world-influenced work.

The Setting

The festival takes place at GOAT Community in the mountains near São Pedro do Sul, in the district of Viseu. The land is central to the experience: the festival is conceived as a temple of nature, and the days are meant to feel like an odyssey that wakes the spirit and nourishes the essence. The lake and its stage give the gathering a natural focal point.

Getting Involved

GOAT is open to people who want to contribute. Musicians, food vendors, speakers and anyone able to offer a unique workshop are invited to share what they bring. The festival was founded on the belief that people are better off together than alone, and that idea shapes how the community welcomes both guests and contributors.
