Beschreibung
If you're serious about your practice, this is the container you've been looking for. The Clear Mountain Upāsakā Study Group brings together committed Buddhist practitioners for structured, ongoing Dhamma study and contemplative inquiry—a rare refuge in a scattered spiritual landscape. On Monday, September 7, 2026, you'll join fellow seekers on Zoom for a two-hour deep dive into the suttas, guided by the wisdom of Ajahn Brahm, a respected Theravada teacher known for translating ancient Buddhist texts into living practice.
This is not a drop-in class. The group convenes on the first and third Monday of each month for practitioners who have committed to the five precepts and daily meditation of at least twenty minutes, six days a week. If you've felt called to move beyond casual spiritual curiosity into disciplined, communal practice rooted in the Buddha's teachings, this gathering meets you where you are—in real time, with real people, studying real texts that have guided practitioners for twenty-five centuries.
The invitation is direct: come prepared to study, listen, and be changed by collective inquiry into the Dharma.
What to Expect
You'll arrive on Zoom for a two-hour session centered on collaborative sutta study. Participants read and discuss Buddhist texts together, bringing their own practice experience and questions to the material. The atmosphere is contemplative and serious without being rigid—there's room for genuine inquiry and personal insight. You'll leave with deeper understanding of a specific teaching, connection to a sangha (community) of practitioners, and a clearer sense of how the Buddha's words apply to your own meditation and daily life. This is structured community, not casual exploration.
