Beschreibung

The 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Part 2 at Tattvaa Yogashala in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, is the second of two nine-day blocks that make up the school's 100-hour yoga teacher training. It suits students who have begun the 100-hour course and want to complete it in the town known as the yoga capital of India, in a school that trains teachers at several levels.

What to Expect

Part 2 runs for nine days. Together with Part 1, a separate nine-day block earlier in the same month, it forms the full 100-hour programme. Because the two parts are scheduled apart, you can take them in sequence without committing to a longer course.

A 100-hour training is a foundation, and for many people it is the first step toward the 200-hour qualification. Tattvaa Yogashala runs teacher trainings at 200, 300 and 500 hours, along with Ashtanga-focused trainings and a Master Level course, so a student finishing the 100-hour course can see where further study might lead within the same school. Nine days is a short, concentrated stretch, and the rhythm of a residential training in Rishikesh is one of steady daily practice and study rather than sightseeing.

The Setting

The training takes place at Tattvaa Yogashala in Rishikesh, a town in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, on the banks of the Ganges. Rishikesh has drawn yoga students and teachers for generations, and many come specifically to train here.

Accommodation is offered in two ways: a twin-sharing room, or a private room at a higher fee. If you value quiet and your own space during an intensive course, the private option is there. If you are happy to share, the twin-sharing room is the more economical choice and often a good way to meet fellow students.

Before You Go

- Format: Part 2 of a two-part, 100-hour training, nine days in length.
- Rooms: Twin sharing or private, chosen when you apply.
- Applying: Places are by application, and the batches of this training have often filled early, so it is worth applying well ahead of your travel plans.
- Further study: Students who want to continue after the 100 hours can look at the school's 200-hour and longer trainings, which run throughout the year in Rishikesh.

For a first teacher training in Rishikesh, this is a compact and clearly structured way to begin, or to finish what you started in Part 1, at a school with a full range of courses to grow into.
