[3:11] and welcome the Dharma teacher with the
[3:13] Dharma talk today.
[4:28] >> I would like to invite everyone to sit
[4:30] relax.
[4:33] Feeling relaxed from the bottom from the
[4:35] top all the way down to the bottom.
[4:39] To all your feet.
[4:41] We're going to do some guided meditation
[4:43] before the um
[4:46] the Dharma talk.
[4:49] So,
[4:50] let's sit up right.
[4:55] Put your meaningless thinking aside.
[5:00] Your worries and everything that
[5:03] that's uh on your head, just let it go.
[5:08] So, as you
[5:10] breathing in,
[5:12] I know
[5:13] I am breathing in.
[5:16] Breathing out,
[5:18] I know I am breathing out.
[5:22] In,
[5:23] out.
[5:29] >> [music]
[6:48] >> Breathing in,
[6:50] I follow
[6:52] my inbreath
[6:54] from the very beginning to the end.
[6:58] Breathing out,
[7:00] I follow my outbreath from its beginning
[7:04] to the end.
[7:06] Follow my inbreath from beginning to the
[7:08] end.
[7:10] Follow my outbreath
[7:12] from beginning to the end.

[10:07] >> Breathing in,
[10:10] I dwell in the present moment.
[10:14] Breathing out,
[10:16] this is a wonderful moment.
[10:19] Present moment,
[10:21] wonderful moment.
[10:26] >> [music]
[10:27] [bell]
[10:31] [music]
[11:21] [music]
[11:39] [clears throat]
[11:43] >> Good morning, dear friends.
[11:47] And how is everyone doing?
[11:50] Good.
[11:52] So, today is October 18th, 1926,
[11:57] I mean 2026.
[12:01] >> [snorts]
[12:01] >> I wish I can go back then.
[12:03] >> [laughter]
[12:05] >> You guys, you know, back then it's so
[12:06] nice.
[12:08] >> [laughter]
[12:08] >> We don't need to do anything. We just be
[12:11] ourselves.
[12:13] Right?
[12:14] We don't have all this technology, all
[12:16] this AI thing, all this
[12:19] crazy things in the world that we've
[12:21] >> [laughter]
[12:22] >> produced.
[12:24] Um we're in togetherness meditation
[12:26] hall.
[12:28] Today
[12:31] is the time for me to share.
[12:34] But the other day when I was um
[12:36] yesterday I was cooking,
[12:39] my sisters gathered around and said,
[12:41] "You know what to share?
[12:43] Do you know what to share?"
[12:44] >> [laughter]
[12:45] >> And I and I asked and I answered them, I
[12:48] just smiled.
[12:50] And I said,
[12:52] "Well,
[12:53] till now, I have nothing to share.
[12:57] Because you know, every time when I
[12:59] prepare something, it always last minute
[13:03] popping new things.
[13:05] But then this is different.
[13:08] I wish we have the boards I can write it
[13:10] down.
[13:15] So, um
[13:17] today I'm going to share about
[13:19] how to stay calm
[13:22] and positive in life.
[13:26] Because
[13:27] many of us here
[13:30] we've been thinking negatively, right?
[13:33] Of ourselves.
[13:35] And
[13:37] we have this tendency to
[13:39] to forget
[13:41] ourselves.
[13:43] And so there's
[13:45] And there is 10 foundations
[13:49] for calmness and positivity.
[13:52] Which I can write it down.
[13:55] Um
[13:57] Can I use black and white and come out?
[14:12] So I was waiting for the um
[14:16] the board to arrive.
[14:19] Which is sit and breathe with me.
[14:23] Because
[14:24] I'm a little bit nervous.
[14:29] But when I share, you know,
[14:31] I don't get nervous. When I wait, I get
[14:33] nervous.
[14:53] How to stay calmness and positive in
[14:56] life.
[16:13] >> The first one
[16:15] The first one is
[16:17] train your mind to pause or stop.
[17:02] I know sometime it's hard to practice to
[17:05] stop
[17:06] your mind
[17:08] from being sometime I cannot stop my
[17:11] mind my mind keep on
[17:12] thinking about this, think about that
[17:16] and then
[17:17] I produce stress in myself.
[17:21] And
[17:22] in turn order to the practice to
[17:25] to do this, you need to calm down. You
[17:28] just stop your meaningless thinking.
[17:31] It's called meaningless thinking.
[17:34] And you come back
[17:36] to to yourself.
[17:39] You know, sometime
[17:41] when people say something criticizing
[17:43] you and you start act right away.
[17:47] Right?
[17:49] Yeah, it happens to me sometime, too.
[17:52] The other day it happens
[17:55] when sister is in my room, she said
[17:58] something I said
[18:00] I start to react right away.
[18:02] And I said
[18:04] why do I need to react right away when
[18:07] it's nothing.
[18:09] Right?
[18:11] When you start reacting when you calm
[18:14] you start to say things to yourself and
[18:17] you keep on thinking, is she right? Am I
[18:20] wrong?
[18:21] Or things like that.
[18:23] You start to react right away. But then
[18:25] if you come back
[18:29] if you come back to yourself, not think
[18:31] of anything
[18:34] then you can stop
[18:37] your thinking and come back to yourself.
[18:41] Think about this.
[18:43] >> [snorts]
[18:43] >> Is there a need to react?
[18:46] Is there a need to panic?
[18:50] You know, we panic over little things.
[18:54] Um
[18:56] I'll give you an instance, a little
[18:58] story
[18:59] that
[19:00] the other day, I mean
[19:03] a year ago when I had a chance to fly to
[19:07] to Florida
[19:09] to do some retreat.
[19:11] And inside of me, I really I really
[19:15] enjoy to have a retreat. And there's a
[19:17] little panic in me that
[19:20] that
[19:22] that
[19:23] that makes me, you know, like a little
[19:26] stressed out.
[19:28] Am I,
[19:29] you know, like
[19:31] doing this well or giving this well?
[19:34] I start panicking. I said,
[19:36] And I come back to myself and ask myself
[19:40] that
[19:41] Do I need this kind of panic?
[19:45] So, when people do
[19:48] or say it or something,
[19:51] it just stay calm.
[19:54] When you stay calm, when you your mind
[19:57] is stopped,
[20:00] then everything will be possible in that
[20:03] moment.
[20:05] The second
[20:07] thing is
[20:09] the practice is
[20:12] accepting impermanence.
[21:02] When you accept impermanence,
[21:05] nothing can be changed, right?
[21:08] The painful feeling you have,
[21:12] the happiness
[21:14] that you have,
[21:15] everything is impermanence.
[21:19] I
[21:21] I I practice impermanence every day.
[21:24] I remember one time when
[21:28] when I received this card from my old
[21:32] sister,
[21:34] uh Dharma sister,
[21:37] she shared about impermanence.
[21:40] That's when
[21:41] our teachers lying on the
[21:45] um in the hospital, everything,
[21:48] and she said, "Life is impermanence.
[21:51] You have to cherish life
[21:54] every moment."
[21:56] It really touches me, and then from then
[21:58] on, I
[21:59] I practice
[22:01] impermanence in my daily life.
[22:05] And
[22:07] in
[22:09] in a practice, I
[22:11] I kind observe myself.
[22:15] What I need to do
[22:18] in my daily living.
[22:21] And that
[22:22] I have to choose
[22:25] my life to be
[22:27] accept what I have now.
[22:32] And that impermanence change every
[22:34] moment, often
[22:36] second, hour.
[22:39] Um for an instance, my room,
[22:43] when you look out in the window, like
[22:46] the new nunnery that the sister have,
[22:49] it's such a beautiful sight. But then I
[22:52] look at this one tree in front of me,
[22:56] everything change.
[22:59] It um it has full leaf.
[23:02] One day, second day, slowly the leaf
[23:05] slowly falls down.
[23:08] And now in front of me is all is all
[23:11] about branches.
[23:14] I call naked branches because
[23:17] there's no trust to it.
[23:20] So, I see life.
[23:22] I see that life can be changed. Even
[23:25] trees and nature can be changed.
[23:29] And we have to take self impermanence as
[23:32] life
[23:34] as it is. And when we practice to let go
[23:39] of something and stop clinging to it
[23:43] like
[23:44] we clinging to our past.
[23:47] We clinging to
[23:50] the things that
[23:53] we don't want to cling on like our
[23:56] worries,
[23:58] our thinking,
[24:00] our
[24:02] this and that.
[24:05] And when you cling too much,
[24:08] it then of course you carry something
[24:11] inside of you.
[24:15] So, the next step is to let go.
[24:43] When we able to let go of something
[24:46] inside of us,
[24:50] then we'll be light in our body and
[24:52] mind.
[24:55] I
[24:57] I have a hard time to let go of things.
[25:01] But when I look into it,
[25:04] I say,
[25:06] "What weighs me down?
[25:10] Is it necessary for me to
[25:15] to hold on into those things or to grasp
[25:19] into the
[25:20] the negative things inside of me?"
[25:24] So, I learn how to let it go slowly.
[25:29] I have this habit.
[25:31] It's called,
[25:33] you know, I have stubbornness inside of
[25:35] me. It's hard to let go.
[25:37] And I always think of my ways of doing
[25:39] things.
[25:41] I always like
[25:43] I always like, you know,
[25:46] like
[25:47] wrapping grasp into my
[25:50] my thinking and not letting go of it.
[25:54] And then that's It's that my
[25:56] stubbornness always control me.
[25:59] That Oh,
[26:01] "You're right. That person is wrong."
[26:05] Right? But then you have to let go of
[26:07] that.
[26:10] Nothing is right. Nothing is wrong. It's
[26:13] just that your idea
[26:16] that you're always right, but you can't
[26:18] accept others.
[26:20] So, letting go
[26:22] is a key to practice
[26:25] of your daily practice. That's why I
[26:28] learn how to let go.
[26:31] I'm still practicing
[26:33] letting go of the things that
[26:36] the ideas that I don't have. And accept
[26:41] the ideas of others.
[26:48] When we
[26:50] when we practice
[26:53] mindfulness
[26:55] and dwelling in present moment,
[26:58] it helps us a lot.
[27:01] It help us to recognize
[27:04] what is there in the present moment.
[27:08] And it helps us to look deeply
[27:11] in each
[27:12] moment.
[27:18] The next step
[27:20] is
[27:22] mindfulness in daily life.
[27:58] So, how many people How many of you here
[28:01] practice mindfulness in your daily life?
[28:10] Nice.
[28:12] And how many of you
[28:14] practice here have this tendency for
[28:17] leave it here and go back to your normal
[28:19] life
[28:20] without mindfulness?
[28:23] >> [laughter]
[28:24] >> Yeah, you see?
[28:26] We have this this habit that we cannot
[28:29] change,
[28:31] right?
[28:32] And that habit can be changed if you
[28:36] want it to change.
[28:39] You see?
[28:41] I remember one time when I have a chance
[28:43] to visit home.
[28:46] And uh
[28:48] even even even though as monastic
[28:51] I have this habit of not using
[28:54] mindfulness in my at home.
[28:57] And then
[28:59] start
[29:00] thinking that, "Oh,
[29:03] as a nun, I have this habit."
[29:07] And I have the is
[29:09] not using mindfulness in my home.
[29:13] What's that?
[29:14] What's happened to me?
[29:16] >> [laughter]
[29:17] [snorts]
[29:18] >> But then
[29:19] a few days after, I said, "Mom,
[29:22] Dad, let's practice together.
[29:25] Let us do some mindfulness at home."
[29:30] You know, every time I cook for my
[29:31] parents,
[29:33] I use mindfulness
[29:35] for cooking.
[29:37] And then when Mom and Dad said, "Why are
[29:39] you slow?
[29:43] What's the point
[29:44] of being slow in cooking?"
[29:47] I said, "Mom and Dad,
[29:49] this is called mindfulness cooking.
[29:51] Let me practice with it."
[29:53] >> [laughter]
[29:55] [snorts]
[29:55] >> And they said, "Yeah, you can do that in
[29:57] the monastery, but not at home." "Mom,
[30:01] please.
[30:03] >> [laughter]
[30:03] >> This is This is the way of practice I
[30:07] have to produce I have to produce at
[30:09] home.
[30:10] So, if you can do it with me, we can do
[30:13] it together."
[30:14] So, a few days after they agreed to
[30:17] practice with me.
[30:20] And
[30:21] and I was so happy, you know, I'm able
[30:24] to do the practice at home, too.
[30:27] So,
[30:29] even when you do this at home,
[30:32] do it do it every day to see what happen
[30:35] in your daily life.
[30:37] Not just you come here
[30:40] and do the practice with us, but you can
[30:43] do it at home
[30:44] when you are eating
[30:47] just eat.
[30:49] When you
[30:50] walking, just walk. When you listen to
[30:53] something, just listen.
[30:55] And sometimes when I said this because
[30:58] sometimes when you listen something and
[30:59] your mind is like flying out somewhere
[31:03] and start to thinking to think of this
[31:06] and that.
[31:08] But yeah, just listen as you
[31:11] when you listen to yourself
[31:14] you can generate mindfulness
[31:17] inside it inside of yourself.
[31:21] So
[31:24] and also you can
[31:27] can do the next step is called transform
[31:30] negative emotions
[31:33] with compassion.
[32:31] When you able to produce mindfulness in
[32:34] your daily life, you can transform
[32:37] your emotions with compassion,
[32:39] especially your anger,
[32:41] your jealousy.
[32:45] I know I have anger inside of me
[32:48] sometimes.
[32:50] Sometimes a sister make me angry
[32:53] and that you know like I recognize it
[32:56] right away and then I say, "Oh, what am
[32:58] I angry about?"
[33:00] And sisters ask, "Have you ever get
[33:02] jealousy?"
[33:04] Yes, we all have jealousy.
[33:07] And when we able to recognize
[33:10] all this emotion inside of us, we can
[33:13] transform that.
[33:16] We change We can transform
[33:18] something
[33:20] bigger, happier, and with compassion.
[33:24] Yes.
[33:25] The other day
[33:27] when
[33:29] when I was reading and um
[33:31] I come across a story
[33:34] about
[33:36] this turtle and this fish.
[33:39] And this turtle This turtle was
[33:43] very angry of this fish because it's
[33:45] keep on bothering him.
[33:47] And then
[33:50] and then this fish was
[33:53] out of jealousy because of the turtle
[33:55] he's always so noble, he's always so
[33:58] quiet. And this fish was able to do
[34:01] that. He's He's always fishing around
[34:03] and you know playful and everything.
[34:06] And then
[34:07] he start to get jealousy because he
[34:09] cannot be calm because he's so, you
[34:12] know,
[34:14] quick and
[34:16] and um
[34:18] want to play with the turtle or want to
[34:21] play with something and is seeing this
[34:23] turtle is so quiet and calm,
[34:27] he is so jealous. He's jealous because
[34:30] he cannot be calm.
[34:32] He cannot be quiet as total.
[34:35] So, I said,
[34:37] "Am I like this fish?
[34:40] You know,
[34:41] like am I like this fish because, you
[34:44] know, sometime I cannot calm myself
[34:47] out of jealousy, I was, you know, like
[34:51] overthinking of myself. So, I stop.
[34:55] I stop and recognize that.
[34:59] I recognize what is what's disturbing my
[35:02] mind
[35:03] in that
[35:06] out of jealousy for nothing,
[35:09] and you get angry for nothing.
[35:13] Ask yourself a question, is this
[35:16] necessary for us to do that?
[35:19] Is it Is it necessary for me to do that?
[35:22] But you look deeply
[35:25] into it. Why make me
[35:27] angry? Why make me have this jealousy?
[35:33] So,
[35:36] I have
[35:38] I practiced
[35:40] the word
[35:42] "May you find peace.
[35:49] May I also remain in peace."
[35:55] So, that I don't get distracted
[35:57] by
[35:58] my anger, my jealousy.
[36:06] When the other day, when my roommates
[36:09] said,
[36:11] "She's kind of distracting me when I was
[36:14] preparing for the Dharma talks."
[36:18] And she asked me, "Do you have anything
[36:22] again?
[36:23] Do you have anything to share?
[36:26] Do you have
[36:28] anything you can share with the Sangha?
[36:31] And I said,
[36:32] "No."
[36:36] Because
[36:38] they make me more nervous than
[36:41] >> [laughter]
[36:42] >> than I am nervous. It is
[36:46] You know,
[36:47] I told them whatever is in my mind,
[36:50] I can share.
[36:52] Whatever I have,
[36:54] the practice of sharing, and I just
[36:56] share it.
[36:58] But they didn't know that
[37:01] I already have something in my mind to
[37:03] share.
[37:04] Cuz I lied to them.
[37:08] >> [snorts]
[37:08] >> It's okay to lie for once, to lie to my
[37:10] sisters once in a while.
[37:13] So I can trick them that I have nothing
[37:16] to share.
[37:18] I do have something to share.
[37:20] That's why I'm sitting here.
[37:24] Right?
[37:25] And let us listen to one sound of the
[37:27] bell.
[37:40] >> [music]
[38:05] >> So a next
[38:09] is practice gratitude every day.
[38:47] >> And when you are able to practice
[38:49] gratitude every day
[38:53] you will
[38:54] have this positive
[38:58] in yourself.
[39:01] I know I practice gratitude every day.
[39:06] I uh
[39:08] I give my
[39:10] grateful to Mother Earth.
[39:13] She's giving us a lot.
[39:16] Um the things that
[39:19] that she
[39:20] give us, like food,
[39:24] um embracing us,
[39:28] and
[39:31] the nourishment of the nature
[39:34] that
[39:35] that's given to us.
[39:40] I practice gratitude to all
[39:43] my um
[39:46] my friends who supported me in this
[39:48] practice.
[39:51] And that
[39:55] I share the practice with them.
[39:58] So, in my daily life, I
[40:01] give gratitude almost everything,
[40:05] but not everything.
[40:08] Meaning that I Meaning that I haven't
[40:10] touched the ocean yet.
[40:14] If I touched ocean, I would give
[40:16] gratitude to the ocean.
[40:18] All the fish, all the turtles.
[40:21] All the
[40:22] this
[40:24] this
[40:25] creatures that you haven't seen. Of
[40:27] course. We might
[40:29] get bitten sometime, but of course it's
[40:32] also something to give gratitude to.
[40:35] Um
[40:38] sometime I give gratitude to mosquitoes.
[40:43] Why because you know they they need
[40:47] blood to to to have nourishment, so
[40:52] I give them my blood, so they should
[40:53] give their gratitude to me.
[40:56] >> [laughter]
[40:58] [snorts]
[40:58] >> Um
[40:59] I appreciate
[41:01] a lot of things in life.
[41:06] And when you give a lot of appreciation
[41:08] and a lot of gratitude in life
[41:12] life is fulfilling.
[41:13] Right?
[41:15] Even even when someone
[41:19] says something wrong
[41:21] you just say, "Oh, thank you."
[41:26] And look deeply into his or her words.
[41:32] I give thanks to those people
[41:35] you know, like
[41:37] it's angry because
[41:40] I consider suffering because they are
[41:42] angry for nothing and they they kind of
[41:45] like putting it on to us.
[41:48] And I say, "Okay, thank you for your
[41:50] anger."
[41:55] And
[41:57] and I know that someday you will look
[41:59] deeply into
[42:01] your anger
[42:03] and you what you're angry about.
[42:07] So, giving gratitude in your everyday
[42:09] life is
[42:13] is also the practice I do and also
[42:17] practice you can do.
[42:20] Is Is the positive things
[42:25] that can
[42:26] generate in daily life.
[42:38] So, our next step is
[42:42] positive and supportive friends.
[43:31] When you have
[43:32] good friends in the practice and
[43:34] supporting you in the practice,
[43:37] that is something that you can depend
[43:40] on.
[43:42] I know one time when I
[43:45] come visit I I visit a friend
[43:49] and
[43:50] she doesn't know any practice.
[43:54] And uh
[43:56] she always have these negative things
[43:58] about
[44:00] being a nun
[44:01] or mhm
[44:05] being
[44:06] uh being with a friend
[44:09] that she has and she shared with me all
[44:12] the time
[44:13] I always hang around with wrong crowds.
[44:18] And I never had anyone like you
[44:21] mhm
[44:23] to support me in the prac- to help me
[44:25] out with my problems.
[44:28] And I told her,
[44:30] "Well,
[44:33] you have me
[44:35] to support you.
[44:37] If you have any need
[44:41] of a practice,
[44:43] just give me a holler.
[44:46] And email to me, I can share you the
[44:48] practice."
[44:50] And when I shared her with her the
[44:51] practice, and she was very happy.
[44:55] She was very happy and she was
[44:58] like,
[45:00] "You know, I never
[45:03] have a chance to sit down and listen to
[45:05] myself.
[45:08] I never had any
[45:11] compassion toward myself. Always
[45:15] abused myself by, you know, like
[45:18] negative thinking.
[45:20] But when I see you, there's something
[45:23] about you that
[45:25] mhm that I really cherish." So I
[45:28] shared with her the practice, and she
[45:30] changed right away.
[45:33] She changed not right away, but, you
[45:36] know, like
[45:38] slowly at a ti- at a time, you know, day
[45:41] by day I see her changes.
[45:44] Day by day I keep on email to her or
[45:47] text to her, "This is what you need to
[45:50] do.
[45:51] Give yourself some time
[45:54] to look deeply into yourself.
[46:01] To look deeply into yourself and to
[46:03] listen to yourself a little bit.
[46:08] But when you're in the wrong crowd of
[46:10] friends,
[46:12] you have this tendency, you know,
[46:13] boastful talking
[46:16] and gossiping.
[46:19] I don't like that.
[46:21] When I was young,
[46:24] I hang around with the friends.
[46:26] They're always gossiping about,
[46:29] you know, like this, about girls, about
[46:32] this, about guys.
[46:35] And I told them, "Well,
[46:39] is this gossip necessary?
[46:45] Is this gossip
[46:47] really help the practice grow?"
[46:54] And I slowly
[46:56] just
[46:57] threw this away and then I said, "Well,
[47:01] I wish to be your friend, but you know,
[47:05] just to deeply
[47:07] I cannot take it. I cannot take this
[47:10] gossiping
[47:11] or boastful talking.
[47:15] So, I stopped hanging around with wrong
[47:16] crowds. I start hanging around with
[47:21] crowds that is more positive in daily
[47:24] life.
[47:26] So,
[47:27] things happen in our in our daily life
[47:30] and things that not not nourishing for
[47:33] us.
[47:35] So,
[47:37] our next step is
[47:40] to see problems as teachers.
[48:24] >> Many of us
[48:26] face a lot of challenges in life.
[48:30] And maybe many of us look down
[48:34] on us sometimes.
[48:38] I know I have.
[48:40] I face a lot of challenge in life and
[48:43] in the practice.
[48:46] But that challenge
[48:48] in my life is giving me a lesson.
[48:53] A lesson to grow
[48:55] in the practice.
[48:57] Whether I see that challenge as a
[49:00] hardship
[49:02] or as like a loving kindness,
[49:05] there's always something that I learn to
[49:07] accept
[49:09] and grow in the practice.
[49:13] We ignore our challenge
[49:16] in our daily life because we think
[49:19] that
[49:20] oh, I cannot accept this.
[49:23] But think of this way.
[49:26] The challenge is your teachers.
[49:29] It gives you something
[49:32] that you need to
[49:34] face in your daily practice.
[49:38] It give you something you can grow in
[49:41] the practice.
[49:45] I grow every day.
[49:47] I face challenge every day.
[49:51] For example,
[49:55] I the other day
[49:58] yesterday I was preparing for
[50:01] uh to cook a meal
[50:04] for the sangha. It's my first time
[50:05] cooking tamarind soup.
[50:09] And I
[50:11] and I said, "I hope this is good
[50:14] because you know it's my first time
[50:15] cooking it.
[50:17] Window on winning means, but I always
[50:20] make uh
[50:22] um you know, like pasta or whatever,
[50:25] things I like to eat.
[50:27] But tamarind soup is the things that I
[50:31] don't like to eat. But then I challenge
[50:33] myself
[50:34] to cook that soup.
[50:37] And then I said, "I hope it's good." But
[50:40] then when I get feedback from my
[50:42] roommate,
[50:44] she said, "Well, you know, your soup
[50:47] is so wonderful."
[50:50] I said, "Oh, thank god.
[50:52] It's my first time
[50:54] I cooking it." I said, "Oh, thank god.
[50:56] >> [laughter and gasps]
[50:56] >> Oh, thank Buddha.
[50:59] It's the first time I'm cooking it.
[51:02] So I
[51:03] naturally challenge myself to
[51:06] cook that soup.
[51:08] So I did.
[51:10] So it's a lesson for me that
[51:13] I can improve
[51:16] it better.
[51:18] Right? Same thing when you face some
[51:21] something in
[51:23] when you face a challenge in your life,
[51:27] reflect
[51:30] and improve.
[51:32] That's all you need to.
[51:34] I did every day.
[51:37] It's like the other day I have this
[51:40] habit.
[51:41] You know, I I always enjoy to do craft
[51:44] things.
[51:46] And um
[51:48] I was going through my yarns
[51:50] and
[51:51] and then
[51:52] I said, "Okay, it's been a long time I
[51:55] haven't
[51:56] do the crochet."
[51:58] So, I crochet an amigurumi.
[52:01] And, um,
[52:04] my mind keep on, you know, pulling me
[52:06] away
[52:08] from what I'm doing.
[52:10] And then I and I keep on, you know, like
[52:13] you like doing over over.
[52:17] So, okay.
[52:20] I have to do this.
[52:22] So, I did it. I make this
[52:25] this I don't know what to call it. A a
[52:27] rabbit?
[52:29] It's called Japanese Sanrio. It's called
[52:31] Cinnamoroll.
[52:34] Yeah.
[52:35] So, I make it.
[52:37] And then I was so happy and I I said,
[52:39] "Oh, this is part of my challenge to
[52:42] to do things that have been left behind
[52:45] for a long time."
[52:48] So, I really enjoyed to do crafts.
[52:51] So, I said, "Okay, I'm so happy I
[52:53] finished this."
[52:55] And after I finished this, I said,
[52:57] "This is something I can share
[53:01] for myself and for my my sisters." So,
[53:05] I'm so happy.
[53:07] So, when you see problems as a teachers,
[53:12] then that's the teaching
[53:15] part of your life.
[53:18] Don't let don't ignore it.
[53:21] But, look deeply into it.
[53:25] Our last step is to meditate daily.
[53:32] Wait.
[53:49] >> I know I'm missing something.
[53:52] But anyway,
[54:22] so to meditate daily,
[54:25] I know we are busy in our daily life
[54:29] and we don't have a cha-
[54:31] chance to meditate, but if you have a
[54:34] moment of your time in the morning,
[54:38] just like 10 to 15 minutes,
[54:41] and you'll be able to
[54:44] see
[54:45] yourself clearly every day, to meditate
[54:47] and let go of what you have inside of
[54:50] you.
[54:52] I'm fortunate that we that I live in a
[54:55] sangha, that we meditate every day
[54:59] from half an hour to 45 minutes.
[55:02] But as for you, you can take 10 to 15
[55:05] minutes in the morning
[55:07] just to
[55:08] come back to ourself, to breathe in,
[55:11] breathe out, and to
[55:13] follow your breathings.
[55:19] To and
[55:22] and to just throw away your
[55:26] a commonless thinking,
[55:28] our worries,
[55:30] or
[55:32] you know,
[55:33] the past
[55:34] or the future.
[55:38] Um
[55:40] Yeah, so
[55:42] these are the 10
[55:43] should be 10.
[55:45] Uh
[55:45] and I don't know I'm mixing up some
[55:47] things, so please forgive me.
[55:51] And um
[55:53] there's a little phrase that I like to
[55:55] share with you.
[55:57] Calmness come from
[56:00] within.
[56:03] True peace doesn't come from
[56:06] fixing the outside world.
[56:09] It comes from
[56:11] transforming your inner world.
[56:15] Through mindfulness, compassion,
[56:18] gratitude, and meditation,
[56:22] you discover calmness
[56:24] that nothing can shake.
[56:27] And that calmness naturally creates
[56:29] positivity,
[56:31] no matter what life brings.
[56:35] So, thank you for deep listening.
[56:38] I hope you enjoy it.
[56:40] And I hope you can do the practice
[56:43] and change your way of life. Thank you
[56:45] very much.
