Picture a teacher in front of a slide deck, lifting his right arm as far as it will go and stopping short of his own shoulder blade. He calls it the "being under arrest" position. His sister has the same limit. So did their father. That small, stubborn restriction is where Johnson Chong begins his 90-minute workshop on shamanic energy healing, and it is the best entry point into a teaching that treats the body less as a machine to be repaired than as a text to be read. Chong's framework moves through five layers of healing (physical, emotional, mental, ancestral, and soul), a reading of the Andean medicine wheel as a map of transformation, a set of four states of consciousness for meeting life's pressures, and a deep dive into the seven chakras, which he asks viewers to score on a scale of 1 to 10 in a journal-based self-assessment.

What does a shaman actually do?

Chong opens by taking on a word that has been bent out of shape. "My role as a shaman," he says in the workshop, "is to bridge the gap between the physical material world and the unseen world of energy." He notes that he was initiated as a shamanic energy medicine practitioner by high Andean priests, whom he calls pacos in Peru, and he is candid that most people in the West use the English word "shaman" without much sense of what it asks of a person.

He also offers an etymology that frames the rest of the talk. Shaman, he says, comes from Sanskrit, from a root word meaning the spiritual seeker, one who looks for a higher truth. Whatever the scholarly status of that origin, the point he builds on is practical: a shaman is someone trying to find a deeper meaning to life, not a costume or a set of tricks. He then makes the connection that gives the workshop its emotional pull. Most people have already had a shamanic experience without the label, he suggests, whether a dream in which a dead relative visits, or the near-death accounts of people who report meeting a guide. The label can be set aside. What remains is the act of connecting "deeper into ourselves, into the energy in which we're feeling, our vitality, and then how we express that as our purpose into the world."

What is "complete healing," in Chong's terms?

The definition is the spine of the material. Chong describes complete healing as the process of resolving dense and negative patterns that stem from belief systems, stress, and emotional overwhelm, patterns that eventually surface as physical ailments or disease. When those patterns dissolve, he says, a fragmented mind-body-energy system moves toward "a state of unity and coherence."

He places this definition alongside holistic traditions he knows well: yoga, Chinese medicine, and the indigenous traditions of Peru, all of which, in his telling, describe mind, body, and spirit as fragmented when illness appears. He is blunt about the modern version of the problem. Much of today's mental health struggle, he argues, is a byproduct of losing connection to the soul, to the earth, and to ritual and ceremony, the things indigenous cultures leaned on for thousands of years. "Complete healing really is about getting lighter," he says. The aim is not to treat a symptom and move on. It is to find what has been weighing on the system.

Why does a physical injury have five layers?

This is where the workshop becomes most distinctive. Chong lays out healing as layers that sit around a single physical symptom. The symptom is the thing that bothers you. Beneath it sits an emotional reason, then a mental pattern tied to the symptom, then an ancestral pattern that may come down a family line, and finally a soul-level reason. He is specific about the ancestral layer. Some patterns, he says, may come from a father's line or a mother's line, and may go back seven generations. He describes this as epigenetic and inherited.

The shoulder is his worked example, and he tells it plainly. He has an injury on his right side. His sister has it. His father has it. The father's history is the piece that gives it weight: fleeing the communists as a refugee, arrested five or six times, jailed, and eventually forced to swim from China to Hong Kong to save his life, facing violence and abuse along the way. Chong's reading is that the restriction is not simply a coincidence of heredity. It is an inherited pattern that lives in the body of the next generation.

"Everything is a mirror of another thing."

Johnson Chong, in his September 2025 shamanic energy healing workshop (around 7:00)

The knee gives a different kind of example, one that is emotional and mental rather than ancestral. Chong had a recurring chronic knee problem on his left side, and he associates the knee with self-judgment and self-criticism. Raised by what he calls a tiger mom and perfectionist parents, in a household under pressure to succeed after the family's refugee experience, he says he was "really hard on myself." The self-critical story, in his account, eventually expressed itself in the joint. He says he has seen the same kind of chain in clients, including inexplicable phobias and cancers that carried a deeper mental and emotional story. Whether a listener accepts the symbolic reading or not, the method is clear. Chong asks you to look for the story underneath the sensation.

What does the medicine wheel have to do with it?

Chong brings in the Andean medicine wheel as "an ancient map of transformation and healing," in the words of the workshop's own description. In the segment on Pachakuti, he points to the figure as a reformer, and to a teaching about the branches and roots of a tree that he uses to talk about how what is visible above the ground depends on what is hidden below. The wheel is less a diagram to memorize than a way of seeing cycles: what has grown, what has been uprooted, and what must turn over before renewal can happen. Chong's larger argument is that the soul "speaks through symbols," and that a wheel, a tree, or an image is a language for something that cannot be stated flatly.

How do the chakras work as a diagnostic?

The chakra section is the longest and most practical part of the workshop. Chong moves through each energy center and asks a set of questions about what it governs and what happens when it runs low or high. He describes the root chakra as the place of home, money, and material security, the ground beneath everything else. Its questions concern whether a person feels grounded in their environment and their material life.

The sacral chakra, in his description, is the seat of playfulness, delight in pleasure, and creativity. He tells the room that when it is dampened, the effect can be felt as a lack of joy and fluidity, and that the sacral center is linked to the element of water. He asks viewers to notice whether they feel abundant or depleted in those areas. Lower in the body, he associates the digestive and liver-gallbladder region with indigestion, ulcers, and related stomach trouble, reading these as places where emotional strain tends to lodge. Higher up, the third eye is tied to intuition, insight, and a connection to higher wisdom, and he asks whether a person trusts their own inner knowing.

The key idea Chong keeps returning to is that each chakra can be deficient, excessive, or balanced. A deficient center is underpowered; an excessive one is overdriven. The self-assessment asks viewers to rate themselves from 1 to 10 for each of the seven centers, and to answer inquiry statements in a journal. He is explicit that the exercise is meant to reveal where energy is flowing and where healing may be needed, not to produce a grade. In the segment where he discusses excess, he points out how many people would likely score themselves at the high end of the scale in certain areas, which he uses to show how easily overdrive can pass for strength.

Where should a newcomer start with this material?

The workshop is structured for two audiences. Chong says it is meant for people new to energy work and for practitioners who want to deepen their practice. The practical starting place is the one he models at the top: take a symptom seriously, then ask what emotion, belief, family pattern, or life story might be feeding it. Use the chakra questions as prompts for journaling rather than as a diagnosis. Keep a record over time, because the assessment is designed to be revisited.

There are limits worth naming. The video is a teaching by one practitioner, drawn from his own family history and client experience, and many of the links he draws between specific body parts and emotional themes are symbolic rather than medically established. Viewers dealing with serious physical illness should consult qualified medical care alongside any inner work. Chong himself frames his approach as a complement to, not a replacement for, the wider holistic view he describes.

Where to go from here

Watch the full workshop with a journal open. Chong's own family story, the shoulder that mirrors his father's, is the clearest way into the layered model, so start there and then work through the chakra questions one center at a time, scoring each from 1 to 10 before you read the inquiry statements. Return to the assessment after a few weeks and note what has shifted. For the Andean wheel, read the Pachakuti segment slowly and ask which roots in your own life still need attention. Chong directs viewers to his website, johnsonchong.com, for upcoming workshops, retreats, and one-on-one shamanic energy medicine mentorship, and he posts updates on Instagram under @johnsonchong_sagesapien. Take what speaks to you, test it against your own experience, and leave the rest.

[0:02] Hi everybody, my name is Johnson Chong

[0:04] and in this video I'm going to talk

[0:06] about shamanic energy healing, sematic

[0:09] healing, what healing does in as a role

[0:13] in your life and how it plays out in the

[0:16] body, how energy moves through the body.

[0:18] And this is really a video to see how

[0:22] energy is perhaps flowing through you in

[0:24] your physical expression and also

[0:26] playing out in your life. And you know,

[0:29] my role as a shaman, I'm going to debunk

[0:31] a little bit that myth of what shaman

[0:33] actually means. You know, my role as a

[0:35] shaman is to bridge the gap between the

[0:38] physical material world and the unseen

[0:41] world of energy. So, you know, in the

[0:43] past 15 years, I've been working with a

[0:45] lot of clients on various issues. And

[0:48] the the root cause is always energetic.

[0:51] And I'm going to talk a little bit about

[0:52] what that means. What does energetic

[0:54] root cause mean? and we're going to talk

[0:56] about the chakras. And in in the chakra

[0:59] field, there's going to be a little bit

[1:00] of a a self- assessment quiz where you

[1:02] can get your journal out and rate

[1:04] yourself from a scale of 1 to 10 and and

[1:07] see really how your energetic map is.

[1:10] And so, a little bit about myself and

[1:13] and and this work before we go into this

[1:16] whole presentation about shamanic

[1:18] healing. So I was initiated as a

[1:21] shamanic energy medicine practitioner uh

[1:24] by the high Andian priests. They call

[1:26] them pacos in Peru. Um we know them as

[1:29] shamans. But shaman is actually a word

[1:30] that comes from the east from Sanskrit.

[1:33] And it comes from the root word samanas

[1:35] which means the spiritual seeker, one

[1:38] who's looking for a higher truth. And so

[1:41] I like to think of the word shaman as

[1:44] one who is trying to find a deeper

[1:46] meaning to life. And when we're going on

[1:50] a shamanic journey, oftentimes you hear

[1:53] people going on vision quests or they're

[1:54] taking plat medicine or or they're doing

[1:57] various types of ritual ceremonial

[1:59] practices with drumming or or rattling

[2:01] and they go into an expanded state of

[2:05] awareness where they can meet a a higher

[2:08] guide, you know. So people who have had

[2:11] near-death experiences often come back

[2:13] from the other side and they say, "Oh, I

[2:15] I met my higher self or I met an angel

[2:18] or I met some guide." Shamanic

[2:19] journeying and shamanic work. We can

[2:22] access that state while we're here. We

[2:25] don't necessarily all have to go through

[2:26] a near-death experience to to get that.

[2:29] Um and and many cultures across the

[2:31] world, indigenous wisdom traditions have

[2:34] some way of connecting to the unseen

[2:37] world to connect to ancestors. You know,

[2:40] you may have had, let's say, I recently

[2:42] had my uncle pass away, right? And uh

[2:45] and I'm sure you know, everyone has had

[2:47] probably some relative pass away or or

[2:49] someone near and dear to you and maybe

[2:52] you've dreamt of them, right? Sometimes

[2:54] they come and visit you in dreams. So,

[2:56] you know, you're probably having

[2:58] shamanic experiences without necessarily

[3:00] putting that label to it. And it's just

[3:02] a label. So, you know, we can get rid of

[3:03] that label and really just look at this

[3:06] as a way to connect deeper into

[3:08] ourselves, into the energy in which

[3:11] we're feeling, our vitality, and then

[3:13] how we express that as our purpose into

[3:15] the world. Um, and so I'm also trained

[3:19] as a a Raiki master, and so I've worked

[3:21] in that modality of energy. I've I've

[3:24] studied martial arts growing up and also

[3:26] I'm a yoga practitioner. I've been

[3:28] teaching and training teachers how to

[3:30] teach yoga. So I have this sense of not

[3:32] just physical anatomy and gesture and

[3:36] how the body, you know, for example, you

[3:39] know, people who are really upset or or

[3:40] their their clothes are guarded, there's

[3:42] this gesture that's closed in in the

[3:44] arms, right? If there's this openness

[3:46] and this receptivity, the chest looks a

[3:49] certain way. Or if there's a scowl on

[3:51] someone's forehead, right? These are

[3:52] gestures that the body does physically,

[3:55] right? And and we all probably have an

[3:57] intuitive sense when someone angry walks

[3:59] into a room or someone who is maybe a

[4:01] bit sad, they walk in that we can pick

[4:03] that up. The physical gesture has an

[4:06] energetic component and that's what I'm

[4:10] very interested in. How does that play

[4:12] together? The the physical, the mental,

[4:15] the emotional, the spiritual, the

[4:16] energetic. And this is how I I look at

[4:19] shamanic healing. So I'm going to do a

[4:21] little presentation with slides

[4:25] and let me start at the beginning here.

[4:27] So what is shamanic energy healing?

[4:30] Well, let's look at what healing is. You

[4:32] know, healing I see healing as the

[4:34] complete process. Complete healing is

[4:37] the process of resolving dense and

[4:40] negative patterns that stem from belief

[4:42] systems, stress, emotional overwhelm,

[4:45] which then express as physical ailments

[4:48] or disease. When these patterns

[4:50] dissolve, the fragmented mind body

[4:52] energy system transitions into a state

[4:55] of unity and coherence. So when we look

[4:58] at holistic models like in yoga or in

[5:01] Chinese medicine or even in the

[5:03] indigenous traditions in Peru, you know,

[5:06] they also have a chakra system that

[5:08] follows a very similar model as the

[5:11] yogis. They look at the mind, the body

[5:14] and the spirit as being fragmented when

[5:18] there is disease or when there is uh

[5:20] some sort of uh emotional ailment. Not

[5:23] not everything is here's a prescription

[5:26] go to the far doctor then the pharmacist

[5:28] and and take your pills and and go. A

[5:30] lot of the ailments that we're

[5:32] experiencing with mental health in in

[5:35] our modern day is a byproduct of us

[5:38] losing connection with our our soul.

[5:40] Like the spiritual unseen elements that

[5:43] were so important to all indigenous

[5:45] cultures hundreds and thousands of years

[5:48] ago. We've lost connection to the earth.

[5:50] We've lost connection to ritual and

[5:53] ceremony. Right? And so complete healing

[5:56] really is about getting lighter. When we

[5:58] are feeling stressed or we're having

[6:01] some sort of chronic physical

[6:03] injury or ailment,

[6:06] there is an underlying energetic cause,

[6:08] right? And we're going to look at that.

[6:11] So these are the different layers of

[6:12] healing that we can experience. So just

[6:14] as I said, the physical symptoms, which

[6:17] here is represented by the orange circle

[6:18] in the middle, that may be the thing

[6:22] that's bothering you. But there is an or

[6:25] there's this other subtle realm of

[6:27] emotional reasons as to why that

[6:29] physical thing is happening. Then

[6:30] there's a mental thing that's happening

[6:32] in relationship to the physical symptom.

[6:35] Maybe there's an ancestral thing meaning

[6:37] that it's a pattern from your your

[6:39] father's line, maybe your mother's line,

[6:41] and then maybe even going seven

[6:43] generations back. We call this

[6:45] epigenetic. It's inherited. Uh and then

[6:48] there's a soul reason, right? And these

[6:50] are some of the the ways we can look at

[6:52] at healing. Everything is a mirror of

[6:55] another thing. So for example, my I have

[6:59] this shoulder injury on my right side.

[7:01] My sister has it as well. We can't quite

[7:03] put our our hand all the way up to

[7:05] scratch our shoulder blade. It it's like

[7:07] the under I call it the being under

[7:09] arrest position. My father has that same

[7:11] thing. When he was uh fleeing from the

[7:14] communists, he was a refugee. He he was

[7:17] arrested many times, five or six times,

[7:19] put in jail, and he eventually had to,

[7:22] you know, swim his way from China to

[7:24] Hong Kong just to, you know, flee for

[7:26] his life. And so, you know, he faced a

[7:28] lot of violence and abuse. And me and my

[7:31] sister both have the same thing, the

[7:34] same exact physical injury as my my

[7:36] father. So, that's an example of of a

[7:39] physical thing that is ancestral, right?

[7:42] That's inherited. Uh another thing that

[7:44] has an emotional physical thing was uh

[7:47] my knee. I had this recurring chronic

[7:49] knee issue on my left side. The knee

[7:51] represents self- judgment,

[7:52] self-criticism. Growing up with very,

[7:56] you know, like a tiger mom and very uh

[7:58] perfectionist kind of parents who just

[8:00] wanted their kids to, you know, do the

[8:02] best because, you know, they're

[8:03] refugees. There was a lot of pressure to

[8:06] succeed and to be excellent. And so I

[8:08] was really hard on myself. So that

[8:10] self-criticism was a mental emotional

[8:12] story that then played out in my knee.

[8:15] So there's many, many, many different

[8:16] examples with this and that I've seen

[8:19] with phobias in clients, very

[8:21] inexplicable phobias, cancers that then

[8:25] have a deeper mental emotional uh story

[8:28] behind it, right? That then play out in

[8:30] the physical. And so this is what the

[8:32] world of healing really explores the

[8:35] unseen reason as to why that thing is

[8:37] happening on the physical dimension.

[8:41] And so the body is very much where

[8:44] things play out. So we call this a

[8:46] psychossematic experience which is an

[8:49] interconnected phenomena of the psyche

[8:52] which is another word for the mind

[8:54] playing out as the soma which is a Greek

[8:57] word meaning the living body. So Bruce

[9:00] Willipton who wrote the biology of

[9:03] belief actually talks a lot about how

[9:07] the biochemical effects of the brain's

[9:09] functioning show that all the cells of

[9:12] your body are affected by your thoughts.

[9:14] And there's been lots of research,

[9:17] placebo research, nobo research showing

[9:21] how belief literally changes the the

[9:24] chemistry of of your cells. And and we

[9:26] know this when we we can psych ourselves

[9:29] out, right? We have this expression in

[9:30] the English language to and we can

[9:32] almost give ourselves um a panic attack

[9:35] if if we can psych if we really try to

[9:38] do that and and and start spinning a

[9:41] loop of self-sabotaging thoughts. Or we

[9:43] can, you know, my mom growing up, she

[9:47] whenever she was about to get sick, she

[9:49] would always say, and she taught this to

[9:51] us. She said, she goes, "I'm I'm doing

[9:54] really well and I'm and I'm not getting

[9:56] sick and I'm uh and I'm feeling vibrant

[9:59] and and lively and I have a lot of

[10:01] energy." And she would say this almost

[10:03] like a mantra to herself and she taught

[10:05] this to us as kids and and she wouldn't

[10:08] if she did get sick, it would be very

[10:09] quick and she would recover quickly. So

[10:11] you know this is the psychosmatic

[10:13] experience using thoughts as a tool to

[10:16] change the the physical body consciously

[10:19] but also psychosmatic experiences can

[10:21] play out unconsciously. You can be going

[10:23] on autopilot and your body is just going

[10:25] through the through the motions of all

[10:28] the conditioned belief systems that are

[10:30] running out running through through your

[10:32] body.

[10:33] You can have inherited patterns that

[10:36] play out in your body. So that's what we

[10:39] call epigenetics which is the study of

[10:41] how the environment and behavior change

[10:44] can alter gene expression which then

[10:46] affect future generations. There have

[10:49] been lots of study on mice who were

[10:52] trained to uh trained to fear the spell

[10:54] smell of accetophenone and then that

[10:57] fear was passed to their offspring and

[11:00] it changed their sperm and that fear was

[11:03] a learned fear and it made them the

[11:06] offspring more sensitive to that smell.

[11:08] So fear is inherited right certain

[11:11] behavioral patterns are inherited and

[11:14] you know that leads us to ancestral

[11:16] imprints. So if that's happening in

[11:18] mice, right, we saw that also through

[11:21] the Dutch hunger winter of 1944 to 45,

[11:24] it showed pregnant women who were

[11:26] exposed to famine switch on the IGF2

[11:29] insulin like growth factor gene which

[11:32] led to higher risk in obesity and

[11:35] diabetes, right? And then the FKB uh the

[11:39] FKBP5

[11:41] stress gene which is linked to PTSD and

[11:43] depression and anxiety disorders were

[11:46] found to be switched on in Holocaust

[11:48] survivors and their offspring. And you

[11:50] know I've actually worked with a lot of

[11:52] people who are the the product of

[11:55] Holocaust survivors. And you know they

[11:58] though they themselves did not live

[12:00] through the Holocaust they felt this

[12:02] depression inexplicable depression that

[12:05] was just you know being part and parcel

[12:08] of having parents who went through the

[12:10] holocaust and and and working through

[12:13] the energy of that and then having to

[12:15] clear that through their energy field.

[12:17] So this is part of energy healing work

[12:20] as well. So, can we alter the gene

[12:23] expression, which is really the

[12:25] scientific way of saying, can we alter

[12:27] our energy expression? And yes, we can

[12:30] through physical factors. We have to be

[12:33] eating living foods, proper nutrition,

[12:35] lots of leafy greens, and making sure

[12:36] we're having the right micronutrients

[12:38] and and making sure we have probiotics

[12:40] and the gut biome is is healthy and

[12:43] functioning. We have to have proper

[12:46] exercise because sweat helps us to detox

[12:48] and to get the circulation system and

[12:49] the lymph system clean. We have to be in

[12:52] safe environments. We we need good

[12:55] sleep, right? These are physical ways to

[12:57] that affect our genes. And then mental

[13:00] emotional factors. We want to look at

[13:03] how our relationships are. Are we in

[13:04] toxic relationships that are not healthy

[13:07] for our our mental health? Um are our

[13:10] relationships creating more stress or

[13:12] less stress? How do we even process

[13:15] stress? Do we have a a good system for

[13:17] that? How are we dealing with emotional

[13:20] overwhelm? how are we even dealing with

[13:21] trauma? So my parents, you know, are

[13:24] very traumatized. They had a lot of war

[13:25] trauma. Um, and they haven't processed

[13:28] it, you know, they're from a very

[13:29] different generation and because of

[13:31] that, you know, they raised me and my

[13:33] siblings a certain way and and you know,

[13:36] you can lash out at people when when you

[13:38] don't deal with your trauma, right? And

[13:40] so that then affects your own gene

[13:43] expression and of course what you pass

[13:44] on to your offspring. So energy is

[13:48] simply life moving through us. It's the

[13:52] expression of our mental emotional

[13:54] stories that then get shared when we

[13:56] walk into a room, even through the

[13:59] pauses when we don't speak. So how do

[14:01] you experience energy? Well, mainly

[14:04] through the body. You can have physical

[14:06] tingles, goosebumps, maybe a butterfly

[14:08] in your stomach, a frog in your throat,

[14:10] warmth, cold, heaviness, lightness,

[14:12] vibration. So many physical sensations.

[14:15] textural. You can have an emotional

[14:17] sensation, mad, glad, sad, right?

[14:20] There's only six or seven basic human

[14:22] emotions and and if you are, let's say,

[14:27] flat in your personality, deadpan, um we

[14:30] call this a flat affect and you don't uh

[14:33] express, you're not animated with your

[14:35] emotions. Oftentimes, it means you're

[14:38] there's some sort of trauma in the field

[14:39] that is keeping your emotional body from

[14:41] expressing. Maybe you were told at a

[14:44] young age don't you know express or

[14:45] whatever it was. Um you can experience

[14:48] energy through your mental. This is kind

[14:50] of where most of the population is very

[14:52] skilled at right through thoughts,

[14:54] images, beliefs, through inner dialogue.

[14:57] We can also experience and this is

[14:59] something I've been working on a lot

[15:00] with clients is the ancestral

[15:03] people having um memories, flashbacks,

[15:07] regressions in real time while I'm

[15:10] working on them on the table or even uh

[15:13] in dream time the day after where they

[15:15] have uh all this information around

[15:19] their upbringing and their parents

[15:20] upbringing and even maybe three, four

[15:22] generations back sometimes about why

[15:25] they are the way they are. that the DNA

[15:28] is carrying this ancestral uh imprint.

[15:32] And then you can experience energy

[15:34] through past life or soul consciousness

[15:37] themes. Uh that can happen also through

[15:39] dream or through visualization or or or

[15:42] or just you know in a daydream as you're

[15:44] just sitting there and having this deep

[15:46] inner knowing of oh I I've been here

[15:49] before and I know why this thing keeps

[15:52] happening to me. this recurring theme of

[15:54] maybe attracting the same uh kind of

[15:57] partner, right? And and so your soul

[16:00] tends to move through different

[16:02] incarnations trying to learn this

[16:04] lesson. Until it's fully learned, you're

[16:06] going to keep experiencing it again and

[16:08] again through the different people and

[16:10] the situations you meet. And so these

[16:12] are the ways that you can experience

[16:14] energy in in life.

[16:17] So soul healing is really connecting the

[16:20] inner and the outer. Whatever you're

[16:22] sensing, your soul is sensing

[16:24] information to bring it in and and then

[16:27] that's being perceived through your

[16:28] higher, you know, that that inward

[16:30] perception is is coming from your higher

[16:34] mind. You could call the higher mind

[16:35] your higher self or your soul self,

[16:37] right? It's your soul sensing for your

[16:41] optimal information. Then it goes into

[16:45] your body. it goes into your brain. Your

[16:47] brain is like a receptor. Um, and then

[16:49] you can either take that information and

[16:51] go into a limited state of awareness

[16:53] where you make very egocentric choices,

[16:56] um, very selfish choices, or you can go

[16:58] into an expanded state of awareness and

[17:00] take care of your community and your

[17:02] family and do things that are more

[17:04] selfless. And it moves out through your

[17:06] body through action, through your

[17:08] choices. So that perception goes into

[17:10] outward conception

[17:12] uh through uh maybe you're now building

[17:16] a nonprofit that helps support you know

[17:19] orphans in in Nepal or something I I

[17:23] don't know right whatever the body and

[17:24] action is it's it's the the creation of

[17:28] something that your soul has sensed and

[17:30] then you can also create things that are

[17:31] more egocentric from a limited state of

[17:34] awareness. So this is kind of how all

[17:37] healing works is the combination of the

[17:39] inhale and the exhale uh the internal

[17:42] and the external and then then we have a

[17:45] choice. We either come from this

[17:47] expanded place or limited place.

[17:50] So in the shamanic world we use four

[17:53] directions in the Andian medicine wheel

[17:56] that are connected to the four d uh the

[17:59] four winds and the four states of

[18:02] consciousness and the four elements. So

[18:03] we start first here in the south and

[18:06] which is represented by the serpent. Now

[18:09] the soul speaks through symbols

[18:13] just like in dreams we receive symbols.

[18:15] The indigenous cultures around the world

[18:18] they they looked at the symbols and the

[18:20] symbols tell a story and we can learn a

[18:23] lot through the stories. So if you think

[18:24] about a serpent the serpent is shedding

[18:26] they're shedding their skin. They're

[18:28] connected belly to earth. They're

[18:30] listening to the rhythm of the earth.

[18:32] The serpent is also very ancient, right?

[18:34] So, it's connected to the old stories

[18:38] and it it's all about release and

[18:39] letting go. And so, this can be more of

[18:42] an egocentric experience, which is not

[18:44] bad, right? Because all all of us have

[18:47] gone through egocentric experiences when

[18:49] we're growing up. There's a phase when

[18:51] you are an adolescent and you're like

[18:53] you're you don't want to your mom to

[18:55] hold your hand anymore and it's all me

[18:57] me. Like, this is the clothing I like.

[19:00] This is what this is how the music I

[19:02] like. This is what I want. Knock on my

[19:05] door before you come into my room. Me me

[19:06] me me me me me me me me me me me me me

[19:06] me me me me me me me me me me me me me

[19:07] me me me me me me me me me me me me me

[19:07] me me me me me me me me me me me me me

[19:07] me me me me me me me me me me me me me

[19:07] me me me me me me me me me me me me me

[19:07] me, right? This is it's this is very

[19:09] natural, right? Um the serpent is

[19:12] related to the physical body um and

[19:14] ailments and disease. So the theme here

[19:17] is I release the past. And when we work

[19:19] with the serpent energy, it's very much

[19:22] about going into the the body sometimes

[19:24] twitches and shakes and it it's just a

[19:27] way for the body to discharge energy. Um

[19:30] just like if you were to go, you know,

[19:32] hand first at a cobra, they would as a

[19:36] reflex just come and snap at you, right?

[19:38] The body is just doing its thing. So

[19:39] sometimes people in shamanic energy

[19:41] healing, their body just starts

[19:42] twitching and and it's just old

[19:45] energetic charge discharging. So it's

[19:48] nothing strange. I mean, they call this

[19:50] neurogenic tremoring uh in animals. If

[19:53] you ever seen on YouTube videos of of

[19:56] wild animals like polar bears or deer um

[19:59] going through very traumatic

[20:00] experiences, running away from captors

[20:02] in the wild, what they do is they stop

[20:04] when they find a safe place. They get

[20:05] down and they start to twitch and they

[20:07] shake, right? And this is very much the

[20:09] south energy. Then when we get to the

[20:12] west, we're connecting to the puma or

[20:15] the jaguar, any of the felines really.

[20:17] The element is water and we're having

[20:21] more of a mental emotional

[20:24] relationship to you know all of our you

[20:27] know stories to our intimate social

[20:29] relationships with family with our lover

[20:32] with lovers maybe our friends we're

[20:35] looking at our belief systems our inner

[20:38] dialogue um the theme here is I practice

[20:40] non-attachment now it's an ethnosentric

[20:43] theme here in the west because it's very

[20:45] much related about to to your your close

[20:48] circle. So, ethno meaning tribe, you

[20:51] know, who are who's your tribe? Who do

[20:52] you belong to? And what are the stories

[20:55] I tell myself to to belong to that

[20:58] tribe? You know, when you were, let's

[21:00] say, in in high school, some some some

[21:02] kids were like, I want to be with the

[21:04] cool kids. And so, maybe you were people

[21:06] pleasing and doing things that were out

[21:08] of your integrity just to belong to that

[21:10] that cool kids club. And then some of

[21:12] the other kids were like, I don't want

[21:13] to be in anybody's club. And they were

[21:15] the loner. and the goth kid in the

[21:17] corner and they were, you know, like get

[21:19] away, you know, people keep out. I hate

[21:22] people, right? And so then they're

[21:23] they're very um you know, uh uh uh sure

[21:28] of themsel and they have certain belief

[21:29] systems that lead them to not be in a

[21:32] social circle. Um so, you know, puma is

[21:36] very much about, if you think about a

[21:38] puma, they're they're excellent

[21:39] trackers. So when we're working with the

[21:42] puma and we're trying to track into why

[21:45] we are the way we are. We ask who, what,

[21:48] where, when, why. You know, why do I

[21:51] think this thought? You know, who taught

[21:53] me that? Was it mom? Was it dad? Did I

[21:55] learn that from uncle? You know, was it

[21:57] grandfather? You know, these are the

[21:59] things that we start to track and we

[22:00] start to go into the past into the

[22:02] subconscious.

[22:03] Then we get to the north which is

[22:06] represented by the hummingbird. The

[22:08] element is fire and this is connecting

[22:12] to our ancestry rewriting old

[22:15] intergenerational stories in the DNA and

[22:18] embodying a new story and a new purpose.

[22:20] So the theme is I connect to my higher

[22:22] purpose. So the north direction in a lot

[22:26] of indigenous cultures is where uh the

[22:29] ancestors come in from. You know, father

[22:32] mountain is connected to here. Also in

[22:34] Tibetan culture, it is and also in most

[22:37] East Asian cultures, it it is believed

[22:40] that when this the the person dies, the

[22:42] soul actually leaves from the north. So,

[22:44] you know, this this connection to the

[22:46] the ancestors is very common across the

[22:49] board. And we're we're working with an

[22:51] altruistic or a world centric uh theme.

[22:55] Now, we're no longer tribal. Now, we're

[22:58] we're serviceoriented. The hummingbird

[23:01] is wanting to spread joy and and delight

[23:05] into the world. I mean, the

[23:06] hummingbird's job literally is to drink

[23:08] a thousand to 2,000 flowers a day and to

[23:11] just go flower to flower. So, and the

[23:13] hummingbird is very present. It goes

[23:16] from one flower to the next. It doesn't

[23:18] know when it's going to have its next

[23:20] burst of nectar. It just has to trust in

[23:22] the universe and go step by step. It

[23:24] also has these itty bitty wings and it

[23:27] looks like it wasn't designed to fly,

[23:29] but it does a lot of work very

[23:32] purposefully and it flies massive

[23:34] migration patterns and distances. And so

[23:37] the hummingbird represents purpose like

[23:40] I I'm going to I'm going to do my work

[23:42] and find effort in that and also to love

[23:45] it. Um and so this is the the fire

[23:48] element is really the fire of passion

[23:50] and fire of love. And then we move to

[23:52] the east which is represented by the

[23:54] condor also the eagle. These big birds

[23:57] of prey element is air. And we're

[24:00] working with the soul here. Now this is

[24:02] your soul's journey through many many

[24:04] lifetimes. And so you know you don't

[24:06] have to necessarily subscribe to

[24:08] reincarnation but maybe you have this

[24:10] sense that you've been here before.

[24:12] Right? Just strictly speaking from an

[24:14] objective point of view if you're

[24:16] looking at uh you know science like

[24:18] energy is never created or destroyed.

[24:20] Right? That is physics 101. And so you,

[24:24] your soul, your consciousness was never

[24:26] created or destroyed. It's just moving

[24:27] through different experiences. So this

[24:30] is about surrendering to the larger

[24:33] mission of your soul's journey. So aka

[24:35] the lessons that your soul's meant to be

[24:37] learning and the ones they have not

[24:39] learned yet. And embodying as a steward

[24:42] or guardian of the universe. This is

[24:45] where you're more missiondriven in your

[24:46] career. So people who are very connected

[24:48] to the east energy, they're very into a

[24:52] cosmoscentric view. They're they're

[24:54] trying to make they're trying to shift

[24:56] big models and they're trying to shift,

[24:59] you know, not just, you know, their

[25:01] personal stuff and their family stuff,

[25:02] but they're really looking at like how

[25:04] is this affecting the world, how is this

[25:05] affecting the environment, how is this

[25:07] affecting the universe, right? And so

[25:09] the theme here is I dream a new world

[25:11] into being. And if you think about the

[25:13] condor, they are a bridge between the

[25:16] material world and the the spiritual

[25:19] world. And uh so this is the Andian

[25:22] medicine wheel. And it's connected each

[25:25] of these different directions are

[25:26] connected to a state of consciousness

[25:28] and a different perspective. So the

[25:31] serpent is connected to the unconscious.

[25:33] Remember the cobra with the reflex? It

[25:35] just twitches because it it it's just it

[25:37] it is pre-rational. It just move it

[25:40] moves towards something it likes and it

[25:42] moves away from something it finds

[25:43] dangerous. Um and then it's about

[25:47] naming. This is the perspective. When we

[25:49] put a name to something that's

[25:51] unconscious, we shine light on the issue

[25:54] by calling it out loud. And when we name

[25:57] things that are unconscious, labeling

[26:00] actually calms the amygdala, which is

[26:02] this part of the brain that is what we

[26:05] call the fear center. and it goes spidey

[26:07] sense alert and goes hey get out of here

[26:09] danger danger but when when we are able

[26:12] to put a name to it that that fear

[26:15] center calms down. The puma is all about

[26:19] the subconscious. You know the belief

[26:21] systems we talked about here. The

[26:24] perspective is claim. You know claiming

[26:27] means that you own the experience by

[26:29] feeling all of the emotions fully.

[26:32] Whether that's a positive emotion or a

[26:34] negative emotion without avoiding it.

[26:36] And unfortunately in our culture, you

[26:39] know, we have this sense of false

[26:40] positivity. Just be happy. Um even if

[26:43] you're angry, right? Anger is a a is a

[26:47] primary human emotion. You know, just

[26:49] like volcanoes explode, volcanoes are

[26:51] allowed to explode. However, if

[26:53] volcanoes exploded all the time, you

[26:55] know, we would have no, you know, life

[26:57] to everything would be on fire. So, it's

[27:00] not about, you know, avoiding the

[27:02] volcanic anger that you may feel. It's

[27:04] about safely letting it out. Let the

[27:06] steam out and then once the weather

[27:09] clears, you move on with your day,

[27:11] right? And that's how we should be

[27:13] functioning with our emotions. When we

[27:15] feel sadness or grief, we have to feel

[27:17] it and let it come out. We just like

[27:19] rain comes through. We got to let the

[27:21] rain come through and then the sun will

[27:23] come back. And it's about cycling

[27:25] through the positive and negative

[27:26] emotions, claiming them without running

[27:29] from them. When we avoid them, that's

[27:30] when emotions get repressed. Repressing

[27:33] emotions keeps the nervous system in

[27:36] fightlight. It increases stress

[27:38] hormones. It's been shown to have an

[27:41] impact on cardiovascular issues,

[27:43] hypertension, weakened immune system,

[27:46] and also depression.

[27:48] And if we are we don't have good

[27:50] emotional vocabulary,

[27:53] which is basically expressing emotions,

[27:56] it actually inhibits your ability to

[27:58] connect to connect to your spiritual

[28:02] guides, to connect to a more meaningful

[28:05] life. Because people who receive dreams,

[28:08] if if you ever if you know people in

[28:10] your life who receive this kind of they

[28:13] get visions, right? You have to have a

[28:14] strong emotional field. You have to be

[28:16] willing to feel your emotions. And so

[28:19] this is part of the claim. Now when we

[28:22] go to the north, the hummingbird, the

[28:24] state of consciousness is conscious.

[28:26] This is where we're consciously trying

[28:28] to

[28:30] make life uh happen. We're trying to

[28:32] design our life. The perspective here is

[28:34] frame which is all about

[28:36] recontextualizing the stories that we

[28:40] are that we've been told that we tell

[28:42] ourselves by redefining old experiences

[28:45] and creating new frameworks rituals and

[28:49] strategies to move forward. So when we

[28:53] are when we tell a new story to oursel

[28:56] we're basically changing the

[28:58] neurochemistry of our brain. the

[29:00] preffrontal cortex, frontal part of the

[29:02] brain, it boosts, the nervous system

[29:05] rewires, neuroplasticity increases,

[29:08] which basically means your your brain

[29:11] gets more flexible.

[29:13] Um, and so the hummingbird, the

[29:16] conscious hummingbird is trying to

[29:19] rewrite the narrative, so to speak. It's

[29:22] like, you know, you hear this oftentimes

[29:24] with uh when I see this with like new

[29:27] parents, they go, I don't want to parent

[29:29] my kid like how my parents parented me.

[29:32] That is an example of conscious framing.

[29:35] Um unfortunately,

[29:37] it's not enough to just say that because

[29:39] you have to work on it energetically

[29:41] because un you know, you are your

[29:43] parents. You are the collection of

[29:45] stories that your parents uh gave to

[29:47] you. So unless you energetically work

[29:49] through those stories, you're kind of

[29:51] still unconsciously passing those

[29:53] stories out. However, that is the right

[29:55] spirit, you know. Um then we move to the

[29:58] east, the condor, and the consciousness

[30:01] state here is superconscious. The

[30:03] perspective is game. You know, when you

[30:06] name stuff, claim it and then you frame

[30:09] the story again, life becomes a game.

[30:11] Comedians are really good at this. They

[30:12] they start to laugh at the pain. There

[30:15] is a levity in how you relate to life.

[30:18] You don't take things so seriously. You

[30:20] can laugh at yourself and compost the

[30:23] old pain stories into inspired teachings

[30:26] to share collectively, you know, and and

[30:28] you know, if you're watching a really

[30:30] good comedian and they're talking about

[30:32] some traumatic thing that happened to

[30:33] them, there's there's humor in it,

[30:36] right? And then we can laugh about them

[30:38] because they're talking about themsel,

[30:40] but we can see oursel in the comedian.

[30:42] And that's why it's so funny because now

[30:44] they've removed themselves from the pain

[30:46] of the situation. Maybe when that thing

[30:48] happened to them, it um it was really

[30:50] painful at the time, but then they they

[30:52] found a way to inspire others by making

[30:55] comedy out of it, right? And you know,

[30:58] studies have shown that the PNS, which

[31:00] is the parasympathetic nervous system

[31:01] responsible for rest and digest and

[31:04] calming us down, um increases it. it

[31:08] gets boosted when we laugh at our stuff.

[31:12] Um,

[31:13] our endorphins are upped, you know, and

[31:16] our vententral veagal system, which is

[31:18] that system that that is very much about

[31:21] safety, social bonds and co-regulation,

[31:24] that gets strengthened. The immune

[31:25] system is boosted. We lower down in

[31:28] depression and anxiety. So, this has

[31:30] been this is all research on on

[31:33] laughing, right? Can we laugh at

[31:35] ourselves? And we and you can see, you

[31:37] know, when there are grumpy people

[31:38] around you and they can't, you know,

[31:40] take a joke, it it's uh it's hard to be

[31:44] around. I mean, that that means that the

[31:46] this energy on the east is a little bit

[31:49] contracted. So we want to make sure that

[31:52] all four states of consciousness

[31:55] uh are expanded right and and fully

[31:59] resourced and utilized because we're

[32:02] utilizing all um of the four

[32:05] perspectives to to look at the different

[32:07] situations and relationships in our

[32:09] lives.

[32:11] So when we're going into a shabbatic

[32:13] energy process through breath work or

[32:15] through energy work, you know, we're

[32:17] activating four main systems. So again

[32:21] going through the four, we start from

[32:23] the south. So we have the unconscious

[32:25] uh and that's again the body moving

[32:28] through different gestures. Sometimes

[32:30] the body is just moving and there's not

[32:32] necessarily a story attached to it. It

[32:34] might be twitching. You might get itchy

[32:36] on your skin or get hot all of a sudden.

[32:39] your your nervous system starts to do

[32:42] funny things with electricity. Maybe

[32:44] you're getting electrical up and down

[32:46] impulses. The temperature can change. It

[32:49] gets hot and cold and a warm and then it

[32:50] feels like you're underwater or you're

[32:52] flying through space. Uh that's more

[32:54] spatial perception, you know. So you you

[32:56] may feel like you're in a big room and

[32:58] then a small room in the air and then

[33:00] maybe you're like deep in the cave. Um

[33:02] your sense of balance may start to

[33:04] change. um your main sense organs um are

[33:08] kind of activated, right? And then uh

[33:11] the skin, the anus, the genitals, the

[33:13] hands, the feet are these are the the

[33:15] locomotion um tools in in the yogic

[33:18] science. Uh they start to get active,

[33:21] right? You start to feel sensation

[33:22] through these areas. Some people feel,

[33:24] you know, tingles in their hands or

[33:26] their hands go into certain claw

[33:28] gestures or, you know, the feet get

[33:30] tingly or they start to curl and

[33:32] everything means something. But in in

[33:34] the unconscious, the body is just kind

[33:36] of experiencing itself or discharging

[33:39] energy as I said earlier. So we call

[33:42] this kinesthetic movement movement that

[33:44] doesn't necessarily have a story but

[33:46] energy is just expressing itself

[33:48] through. Then the other system is in the

[33:51] west is subconscious. This is emotional

[33:54] the feelings that you feel. So you might

[33:58] then all of a sudden feel sad that your

[34:02] um you know that you acted a certain way

[34:05] you know viciously to your best friend.

[34:07] You were really ashamed let's say about

[34:09] something you did and some habit or

[34:10] pattern and and so then you feel that

[34:12] sadness and then and then you start to

[34:14] cry right um or you have different you

[34:17] might have different sensations. So

[34:18] there's sensations and then there's the

[34:21] emotions. So sensations could be like

[34:23] pin pricks, could be um uh like for

[34:27] example like a heaviness on the chest or

[34:29] the shoulders doesn't necessarily always

[34:32] mean grief. It a sensation of that

[34:34] heaviness could also feel like I feel

[34:36] overwhelmed and burdened by all the

[34:38] things I have to do on Monday. Right? So

[34:41] sometimes the sensations they share

[34:44] similar qualities to certain emotions.

[34:48] uh your your pain body can get activated

[34:51] you know uh for example when I was uh

[34:55] when I was a kid my parents gave my

[34:57] tutors uh we used to have to have like

[35:00] after school tutoring they gave them

[35:02] permission to hit us when we misbehaved.

[35:05] So I used to get hit with like a ruler

[35:07] on the back of my neck every time I

[35:09] didn't listen and I was very I I really

[35:11] didn't listen as a kid. So I I had this

[35:13] like pain when I was doing a lot of work

[35:16] um energy work with some of my teachers

[35:20] um like 20 years ago to release these

[35:22] stories in my neck and my neck would

[35:24] twitch and I would have like a flashback

[35:27] of these um uh the these feelings of not

[35:30] being good enough, not being smart

[35:32] enough. as a kid when I was having my

[35:34] neck worked on my neck would start going

[35:36] to the south and start twitching and

[35:38] then I would feel the pain of the time

[35:40] when I got hit in the neck with the by

[35:42] this ruler right so that that can happen

[35:45] now conversely you can also have

[35:46] pleasure right so pain and pleasure so

[35:49] I've also had energetic experiences

[35:50] where I felt a lot of pleasure my body

[35:52] remembered like oh that's what joy feels

[35:55] like that feels good um so pain and

[35:58] pleasure then your voice typically you

[36:00] know goes

[36:02] You know, when people are going through

[36:03] emotional things like like a release of

[36:06] a burden is like

[36:09] thank God like I just released that

[36:11] burden, right? Often times we're taught

[36:13] to like not voice it out. So we keep

[36:15] everything in and then it it actually in

[36:17] Chinese medicine when you when you don't

[36:19] release your emotions through sound that

[36:22] emotion sits in the organs and then it

[36:25] can build into something that's disease

[36:27] related over time.

[36:29] um your ma your main sense organs start

[36:32] to get switched on. So that's your your

[36:34] tongue, your nose, your speech, right?

[36:35] So that's basically the eye, ear, nose,

[36:37] mouth, right? Skin. Um the five senses

[36:40] are are very aware now. Then we go to

[36:44] the north conscious maybe you then have

[36:48] a flashback of a memory like I did when

[36:50] I was talking about my childhood. Uh you

[36:52] might get a visual of something in the

[36:54] past or sometimes the future. You might

[36:56] get a road map of where you're going.

[36:58] certain thoughts come to you, maybe

[37:00] words or images, concepts. You know, I

[37:03] had um I was I was teaching a retreat

[37:06] and there was this engineer on retreat

[37:09] and in one of our shamanic processes

[37:12] for for weeks and weeks and weeks, I

[37:14] mean, I know nothing about engineering,

[37:15] but he all of a sudden got this this

[37:17] download of these concepts and uh and

[37:20] kind of like a map of how to solve this

[37:22] engineering problem. And it came to him

[37:24] in this this expanded state of of

[37:27] awareness. It wasn't coming from because

[37:31] all of a sudden the guard was dropped

[37:33] and energy's flowing and you're not

[37:35] necessarily thinking about work and then

[37:37] it the concept dropped in. So that

[37:39] happens sometimes when you're in

[37:40] shamanic energy healing. Um and then

[37:43] your main sense organs, your eyes and

[37:45] your ears, you know, they because

[37:47] they're more related to um the

[37:50] conscious, right? They they they're very

[37:52] perky. So we call this the cognitive and

[37:55] then here in the center I have the

[37:57] energetic right uh the energetic so

[38:00] energetic simply is a combination of all

[38:03] these three things the kinesthetic the

[38:06] emotional the cognitive

[38:09] when we have an energy experience

[38:12] all of these three things are switched

[38:13] on that's why I have it here in the

[38:16] center and it feels electromagnetic you

[38:19] know some you know if you ever rub your

[38:21] hands together and you open your hands

[38:23] um a little bit apart. You feel the the

[38:25] the energy there. There's a there's a

[38:27] bit of a a magnetism there if you want

[38:30] to try that, right? That start you start

[38:32] to feel that. Some people call that the

[38:34] the tingles. Um or you start to feel

[38:36] fields of energy around you or some

[38:38] people even see the energy around in

[38:41] colors. I feel I sense and feel more of

[38:44] it and I can feel where it is and how

[38:46] far it extends out to. Um the wisdom

[38:49] body in uh in the yogic tradition of the

[38:53] subtle body. This is the the layer of

[38:57] the body that is that has this intuition

[39:00] or we call it the felt sense. You you

[39:03] don't know how you know what you know

[39:04] but you just know it. You know like I've

[39:07] been working with some people who are

[39:08] just having these spontaneous knowings

[39:11] of of something that happened in their

[39:14] family line you know four five

[39:16] generations ago. and and they just know.

[39:19] They're like, "Oh my god, my body

[39:21] remembers, you know, this this violation

[39:24] that happened in the trust in my in my

[39:27] mother's line, when my father's line,

[39:29] and I don't want to go into the details

[39:30] of of what happened to their family

[39:32] line, but they just know." And um then

[39:35] your soul body, you know, this is even

[39:36] more subtle. It's it's not uh your your

[39:40] soul starts to give you messages or your

[39:41] higher self is like, "Hey, I got to show

[39:43] you something." Um so so you know who

[39:46] you are more more truthfully you may

[39:49] sort of get divine inspiration symbols

[39:52] also start to pop in uh and and then you

[39:55] you go into a state of selfless

[39:56] surrender where where everything just

[39:59] opens um and that's where a

[40:01] transformation happens. So that's really

[40:03] all energy work is. It's a combination

[40:07] of all of these three systems and then

[40:09] the energetic experience of everything

[40:11] dancing with each other.

[40:14] So the the energy is then expressed and

[40:18] experienced through how you relate to

[40:21] your chakra system. So not everyone's uh

[40:26] aware of you know how the chakras are

[40:28] functioning. So what are chakras?

[40:29] Chakras in in the Sanskrit language they

[40:33] they mean wheel or a disc. It's a dis of

[40:36] energy kind of like how in this image

[40:38] they're they're often depicted with

[40:40] different flowers and lotuses because

[40:42] when the yogis meditated they saw and

[40:44] they perceived that in the Anzian

[40:47] tradition in the high mountains of Peru

[40:49] they also saw them as a disc they call

[40:52] them which means eye like a e- saw them

[40:56] as these eye disks of energy also moving

[40:59] in this rainbow like color uh which is

[41:01] also fascinating because the two

[41:03] cultures as as we know, we don't really

[41:06] know if they had any sort of connections

[41:07] to each other. Um, and the chakras act

[41:11] as this kind of interface between your

[41:14] your your soul's uh consciousness and

[41:17] the the fields of energy that are

[41:19] following your soul through the

[41:21] different incarnations to your physical

[41:23] experience in this body right here,

[41:25] right now. And so I I think of them as

[41:28] bridges between the spiritual realm and

[41:31] the the material realm. So when you have

[41:35] your your chakras spinning in and in

[41:39] this optimal way, your your life force

[41:43] feels full and dynamic. When there are

[41:45] holes or deficits in your energy field,

[41:48] uh it affects then your chakras, right?

[41:50] The field is affecting the chakras,

[41:52] right? There's this field around you

[41:54] that's quite um that can be quite large

[41:56] or quite contracted and small depending

[41:58] on what's happening in your life. And

[42:01] then it it changes how the chakras are.

[42:03] The chakras are, you know, they're said

[42:06] to be around the spinal centers, you

[42:09] know, and around the spinal center, you

[42:12] know, so your spine is going back to the

[42:14] spine. Your spine when it's stiff and

[42:17] rigid, right, it it says something about

[42:21] how the energy is moving through your

[42:22] chakras. When there's fluidity and

[42:24] malleability to the spine, right, the

[42:26] physical is representing something

[42:29] that's happening on a subtler dimension.

[42:31] So, we're going to go into the chakras

[42:33] in the energy body. So we're going to

[42:35] start for this is where you can get your

[42:36] journal by the way and do a little

[42:38] chakra quiz. So the root chakra we call

[42:41] muladar in Sanskrit element is earth.

[42:45] It's the serpent archetype. The color is

[42:47] red. It's related to the genitals, the

[42:50] ovaries and the testes. It's connected

[42:52] to the sense of taste and tongue. And if

[42:56] there are issues in the lower body like

[42:57] sciatica, prostate issues, arthritis,

[43:01] eating disorders as well, constipation,

[43:03] low blood pressure, um colon stuff, uh

[43:07] bone, joint stuff of the legs,

[43:08] fibromyalgia, obesity, and any of these

[43:11] types of presenting physical symptoms.

[43:14] Um there may be something to look at in

[43:17] terms of the root chakra energy. It's

[43:19] related to from a psyche sense, it's

[43:21] related to the sense of security,

[43:23] feeling a sense of groundedness and

[43:25] stability, confidence, independence and

[43:27] resourcefulness.

[43:29] The shadow of it is feeling a lot of

[43:31] anxiety, worry or fear. Uh so if there's

[43:34] a lot of inexplicable phobias or fear of

[43:36] like death or you know there's just a

[43:39] lot of fear coming up, there's often an

[43:40] imbalance in the root. If there's a lot

[43:43] of fatigue, you know, fibromyalgia and

[43:45] these inexplicable autoimmune diseases,

[43:48] uh, that that Western medicine doesn't

[43:50] really know the cause of, there's often

[43:52] a root issue, right? And the themes are

[43:55] around safety, belonging, family, tribe,

[43:58] home, money, material, the material

[44:00] world, not feeling uh that you're

[44:03] grounded enough in the material world,

[44:04] and then also birth and death. So we

[44:07] know that the chakras

[44:10] are are these energetic discs, right? So

[44:14] the emotional mental stories that are

[44:16] you tell yourself they will affect your

[44:20] your your chakra excess or what we call

[44:23] deficit. Is there you know is there

[44:26] enough energy? Is there not enough

[44:28] energy? Is there a balanced amount of

[44:30] energy? Um so I want you to rank each of

[44:32] these statements on a scale of 1 to 10.

[44:34] one being very low and then 10 being

[44:38] like super high. Five being like

[44:40] balanced down the middle. So I have is

[44:43] the key word in the root chakra. So if

[44:46] you were to say out loud, I have safety

[44:48] within my body. So I want you to write

[44:51] that down in your your journal. And if

[44:54] you say, I have safety within my body,

[44:56] and like you're just shuddering saying

[44:58] that, that makes no sense to your body.

[45:00] That might be towards the one side. If

[45:02] if it feels like you're like overly

[45:04] confident, like of course, yeah, I walk

[45:06] everywhere and I'm just like I just push

[45:08] people out of the way, you know, and

[45:09] I'm, you know, um then that might be on

[45:13] the 10 side. If you feel this sense of

[45:14] balance, like yeah, I I go places and I

[45:17] feel safe in my body. That's a five. I

[45:20] have safety within my home and

[45:21] environment.

[45:24] I have a place where I truly belong.

[45:28] I have a supportive connection to my

[45:30] roots and ancestral ties

[45:33] because you know root chakra is also

[45:35] about even if you are adopted it's it's

[45:38] about feeling connected to something if

[45:41] even if it's not your birth family that

[45:44] it's do you feel rooted to the people

[45:47] who are around you to your your chosen

[45:50] family even right if you don't have um a

[45:53] biological family so to the place on

[45:57] which you were born and also to the

[45:59] place where you come from or the place

[46:00] that you don't even know like there

[46:02] there's a there's this kind of tie and

[46:04] and feeling supported in that connection

[46:06] right I have a healthy relationship to

[46:09] money and material security these are

[46:12] all root chakra themes so take a moment

[46:14] you can even pause this and you can read

[46:16] the statements out loud see how they

[46:18] land because if you are feeling a

[46:22] certain kind of way emotionally let's

[46:24] say about some of the statements right

[46:26] you You got to honor that. So this is no

[46:28] one's going to look at this quiz but for

[46:29] you. And then this will get give you an

[46:32] idea of like oh my root chakra is either

[46:36] in a deficit or in an excess or it's

[46:38] kind of optimal in a balanced way. So

[46:41] this is a self quiz.

[46:45] We move on to the next chakra.

[46:48] We are at the sacral chakra which is the

[46:51] elements of water. This is around your

[46:53] belt line around the womb area in a

[46:56] woman um just by so your sacral bone is

[46:59] that flat triangular bone at the base of

[47:01] your spine and then in the front you

[47:04] have your navl and then it's that naval

[47:06] center region where you would put your

[47:08] belt. The archetype is the puma orange

[47:12] is the color the adrenal glands which

[47:15] are the glands that sit above the

[47:16] kidneys and we have the sense of smell.

[47:21] if there are any issues in the adren. So

[47:23] people are suffering from adrenal

[47:24] fatigue, they're just constantly tired,

[47:26] right? A sense of um like being

[47:29] chronically stressed, fight and flight,

[47:31] the stress hormones are being secreted

[47:33] from there um from the adrenal glands

[47:35] that that is uh being wired all the time

[47:38] and being wired and tired. That's kind

[47:40] of chronic fatigue. That is a a second

[47:43] chakra issue. bladder issues, UTI

[47:45] issues, chronic lower back stuff, pelvic

[47:48] pain, menstrual cramps that are really

[47:51] painful,

[47:52] uh like uh like spasming menstrual

[47:55] cramps, PMS, liver and lower ab issues,

[48:00] digestive issues, spleen issues,

[48:02] lymphatic system stuff, reproductive

[48:05] organ issues, fertility, sexual

[48:07] dysfunction, a low or an overactive

[48:10] libido. Right? This is part of that

[48:12] deficit excess. The psyche themes are

[48:16] creativity, vibrancy, optimism,

[48:19] playfulness, delight in pleasure and

[48:22] satiated. So, uh when the sacral chakra

[48:25] is is optimal, there's a feeling of

[48:28] like, oh, I know what I want and I take

[48:31] pleasure in in in delight. There's also

[48:34] the excess. We can become gluttonous.

[48:37] But then there's also, you know, the

[48:38] people who are like, you know, no

[48:40] pleasure for me. I'm gonna punish

[48:41] myself. You know, I'm I'm gonna go on

[48:43] this diet forever and ever. I'm gonna be

[48:45] on keto for the whole year and just, you

[48:47] know, I got to lose weight, right? So,

[48:49] there's the balance of that, right?

[48:51] We're not going into extremes here when

[48:53] we're talking about balanced energy. The

[48:55] shadow here is fightlight, right? The

[48:57] adrenal glands are like wired and tired.

[49:00] uh there's a shadow of abuse of being

[49:03] either the violator if it's excess

[49:05] excessive in the energy or in the

[49:08] deficit it's being violated um there's

[49:11] repressed expression here maybe there's

[49:14] carrying of some sort of trauma there's

[49:16] guilt and then a codependency so

[49:18] codependent relationships would be like

[49:20] I don't know who I am without that

[49:22] person I need you in order to survive

[49:24] it's it's it's too much right there's no

[49:27] sense of independence so that's the

[49:29] shadow shadow side. The themes are

[49:31] self-worth, creativity, intimacy,

[49:33] sexuality, vitality, and desire.

[49:38] So, now rank these statements. You can

[49:40] read them out loud. And reading them out

[49:43] loud really helps you feel how it lands

[49:45] in your body. Maybe you say it and your

[49:47] body like starts to tingle somewhere

[49:49] like that's going to be telltale as to

[49:51] what that means. I feel vitality when I

[49:54] express my emotions. Are you someone

[49:57] who, you know, when you're happy, you're

[49:59] happy when when you see something sad on

[50:02] on the movie screen, you you actually

[50:04] allow yourself to cry or are you like

[50:05] dead pan the whole time and you just,

[50:07] you know, I was working with a gentleman

[50:09] who was like, I'm sad. I'm really really

[50:12] sad. I I and and you know, and he

[50:15] thought he was feeling sadness and

[50:17] grief, but he wasn't. He was thinking

[50:19] it. You know, he had shut down the

[50:21] emotional system. So, where are you on

[50:23] that scale of emotional expression?

[50:26] I feel in touch with my creativity to

[50:28] express myself freely.

[50:31] Do you like to create things? Do you

[50:33] draw? Do you Right? It's not all about

[50:35] like, you know, actual artwork. A lot of

[50:38] people associate creativity with art,

[50:40] but it's about creating things. You

[50:42] know, even if you're, you know, a

[50:43] banker, right? There's creativity in in

[50:46] in creating new programs and systems or

[50:49] or building projects from the start from

[50:51] from the ground up, right? Or building

[50:54] companies. They're the architects,

[50:56] right? Build things uh create things

[50:58] differently from how a dancer creates

[51:00] things. So, it's about expression of

[51:02] yourself. That's what creativity is. I

[51:05] feel comfortable exploring and

[51:07] expressing my sexuality, you know. So,

[51:10] you know, growing up as a, you know,

[51:12] closeted gay kid, you know, I was very

[51:15] not comfortable expressing my sexuality

[51:17] and now I am. Like, I don't necessarily

[51:19] care about how people think about me.

[51:21] you know, do you care about how people

[51:23] um see you in your sexuality? Are you,

[51:27] you know, do you do you cover yourself

[51:29] up? You know, that's part of your

[51:30] sexuality. Are you comfortable wearing

[51:32] things that express, you know, your your

[51:35] inner nature? um not necessarily like

[51:39] like oh I'm I'm dressing this just

[51:41] because I want you know uh to to look

[51:44] for sex but it's more of like I'm

[51:46] dressing in the way I'm dressing to

[51:48] express myself because I'm comfortable

[51:50] in my sexuality and I'm okay being seen

[51:53] right this is part of the sexuality

[51:56] expression

[51:58] I feel connected to my true passions and

[52:00] desires

[52:01] do you know what you want basically

[52:04] do you know uh what brings brings you

[52:06] delight and pleasure and are you doing

[52:08] those things or are you doing something

[52:11] that's totally left field in your job to

[52:13] your true passions and desires and that

[52:16] happens sometimes and that when that

[52:18] happens it dampens someone's sacral

[52:20] chakra field I see this happening with a

[52:22] lot of people in corporate careers that

[52:24] you know don't they somehow have

[52:26] compartmentalized their lives and

[52:28] they're like oh I just do this so that

[52:30] uh I can do my passion desire and that's

[52:33] totally cool if that feels right for

[52:35] you. But sometimes it doesn't feel right

[52:37] for some people and that lowers their

[52:40] their sacral energy. I feel worthy of

[52:44] pleasure and abundance. Right? This is a

[52:46] you know

[52:48] especially if you grew up in a a

[52:50] household that was taught that pleasure

[52:53] was wrong. You know if you grew up in

[52:54] very religious household let's say um um

[52:58] and abundance also is part of this is

[53:01] part of the sexual life force energy.

[53:04] Abundance is if you look around in

[53:06] nature there's millions and billions of

[53:08] you know leaves and and seeds and and

[53:12] it's never ending. Nature is abundant

[53:14] and nature is is you know you look at

[53:18] animals they they just are they they go

[53:22] into pleasure without you look at

[53:24] mammals specifically like dolphins and

[53:26] dogs right if they want pleasure and

[53:28] monkeys especially they will go get it.

[53:31] Um, but you know, with a lot of

[53:32] religious wounding, often times we're

[53:34] taught that pleasure is wrong and you're

[53:36] taught to shut and squash it down, which

[53:38] then shuts down your ability to feel

[53:41] abundant. You know, abundant doesn't

[53:43] just mean money. It's about resources,

[53:47] tapping into your network to support

[53:49] you, right? Feeling abundant in your

[53:51] social connections so that you can do

[53:53] what you love. Okay? So, see how those

[53:56] statements feel for you. You can pause

[53:58] any time.

[54:00] Moving on. So we have now the solar

[54:03] plexus which is a couple of inches above

[54:05] your navl right and this is around the

[54:08] stomach area. Um and we have the element

[54:11] of fire the hummingbird color yellow.

[54:14] The glands are the pancreas which is

[54:15] right next door to the stomach. The

[54:18] sense of see it's seeing and the eyes.

[54:21] So if there's issues with the kidneys,

[54:23] now a lot of the first three chakras

[54:25] because the main organs are here, a lot

[54:26] of them are um a lot of the presenting

[54:29] body symptoms are similar. Um but the

[54:32] reasoning can you know it depends

[54:35] depending on what the the mental

[54:38] emotional uh pattern is. It can it

[54:41] doesn't necessarily matter like oh yeah

[54:43] that's a solar plexus or that's a sacral

[54:45] issue area. A lot of the first three

[54:46] chakra stuff they are they bleed into

[54:49] each other. So just so you know. So

[54:51] again, bladder stuff, UTI stuff, if

[54:53] there's any food allergies, eating

[54:55] disorders, food addictions, any

[54:57] addiction for that matter, can be solar

[54:59] plexus related, weight gain, bloating,

[55:03] uh indigestion, ulcers, stomach

[55:05] disorders, issues with the pancreas like

[55:08] pancreatic cancer, endocrine system

[55:10] issues, diabetes, hypoglycemia,

[55:13] gallbladder, liver, hepatitis uh issues,

[55:16] intestines, celiac disease. So, I've

[55:19] worked with some people with some of

[55:21] these issues. I've, you know, and what's

[55:23] interesting with people with gallbladder

[55:25] and liver issues, you know, I lived in

[55:27] Singapore for six years and and it was

[55:30] not uncommon for me to see women remove

[55:32] their gallbladders, which is a bit scary

[55:36] because the gallbladder liver connection

[55:38] in Chinese medicine is very much about

[55:41] uh anger. And a healthy amount of anger

[55:45] will go like this. It's like, you know,

[55:50] you should not um uh be polluting the

[55:54] environment because it's going to kill

[55:56] all our animals and it's bad for our

[55:58] ecosystem and how are we going to eat

[55:59] and and and provide for our right that

[56:02] kind of anger. Then when it's rechanled

[56:05] properly, you then take up a cause where

[56:08] you're fighting for the the environment

[56:11] and you're going to the UN and you're do

[56:13] you're doing something that's like, you

[56:15] know, and it's passionate, right? That's

[56:18] a healthy amount of anger, right?

[56:20] Unhealthy anger would be like, I'm not

[56:24] going to feel that. I'm going to avoid

[56:25] it. I'm going to swallow it up and just,

[56:28] you know, what happens to that emotional

[56:30] energy? It goes in. it then sits in your

[56:32] gallbladder and your liver. Another

[56:34] example is uh someone who cannot

[56:39] uh get angry about something. I had a a

[56:42] a client who unfortunately bypassed

[56:45] um the entire process of anger

[56:49] uh over someone who had uh sexually

[56:52] abused this you know person. Uh so you

[56:56] know this client who had received this

[56:57] sexual abuse, not that they refused, but

[57:00] their system had shut down to feeling

[57:02] angry about it to the point where it it

[57:06] it festered into a cancer unfortunately.

[57:09] Um and so sometimes when we hold on to

[57:13] uh emotional uh frequencies like anger

[57:16] for example in the liver and the

[57:17] gallbladder, it eats away at the organ

[57:19] and it needs to be discharged, right?

[57:23] And um feeling anger again is a very uh

[57:28] it's a very foundational thing for being

[57:30] h a human. You know it's the holding on

[57:33] to anger is what drive is what is in

[57:35] excess and that's not great. So when we

[57:38] get angry we feel it. We understand what

[57:40] it's about and we move through it and

[57:42] then we have to somehow move on. And so

[57:45] that's a healthy processing of anger.

[57:47] When it's not processed and it goes into

[57:49] a deficit or an excess, that's when we

[57:51] can get some body symptoms happening. So

[57:53] that's just an example. The psyche is

[57:56] about sovereignty. So another way of

[57:59] saying independence, authenticity,

[58:01] joyful, feeling focused and personal

[58:03] power. The shadow here is uh well being

[58:06] egocentric, egoic, mistrust in the self,

[58:10] second guessing yourself, uh feeling a

[58:12] lot of shame, right? Uh so often times

[58:15] people with abuse you know they feel

[58:16] ashamed that they were it was their

[58:18] fault and then that can implode in uh

[58:22] depression, anger, perfectionism. Uh the

[58:25] themes are about transformation, ego,

[58:27] control, power, desire to manifest

[58:30] action and confidence.

[58:32] So these statements, write down and read

[58:34] them out loud to yourself. I know I am

[58:36] capable of achieving my goals.

[58:41] So, how good are you at finishing what

[58:43] you started? You know, um I know when to

[58:47] set boundaries that honor me.

[58:50] Are you good at saying no? Or do you say

[58:52] yes all the time? Some people say yes

[58:55] all the time. Some people say no all the

[58:57] time. Right? We want the balance of yes

[58:58] and no. So boundaries are not just about

[59:01] no. It's about yes and no and the right

[59:03] balance so long as it's aligned with

[59:05] you. I know my inner power guides my

[59:09] choices. So this is another way of

[59:11] talking about confidence. You know, are

[59:13] you do you know, right? The key word of

[59:16] the solar plexus is I know. I know this

[59:19] is right. So I'm going to let that power

[59:21] guide me in my choice. Even if everybody

[59:23] else is against it, I'm going to stand

[59:26] my ground. That's the inner power.

[59:29] I know all my actions are guided by

[59:31] inner confidence. Very similar to the

[59:33] third one. You know, are your actions

[59:36] guided by this force that stands true to

[59:40] your values?

[59:42] Confidence is like this is these are my

[59:45] values. I'm sticking to them.

[59:47] I know who I am and the values I stand

[59:49] for. So, the last three, you know, are

[59:51] very similar. They're just different

[59:53] ways of saying it and they may hit you a

[59:54] different way. So, it's about knowing in

[59:57] the third chakra. Do you know who you

[59:59] are? Do you know what you stand for? Do

[1:00:01] you have integrity? Integrity is very

[1:00:03] much part of the third chakra.

[1:00:08] All right, moving on to the fourth

[1:00:09] chakra. We have the heart chakra. The

[1:00:12] element is air. Condor is the archetype.

[1:00:15] It's the color green. The gland is the

[1:00:17] thymus which sits right here at the

[1:00:19] center of the the sternum. It's this

[1:00:21] very small gland that is responsible for

[1:00:23] our immunity. The sense of touch. It's a

[1:00:26] sense of touch. So if there's issues

[1:00:28] with the heart, circulation, blood

[1:00:30] related disorders, pressure, so that

[1:00:33] could be blood pressure, hyper or hypo,

[1:00:35] like too much or too little uh blood

[1:00:38] pressure, um respiratory issues because

[1:00:41] the lungs are right there, asthma,

[1:00:43] pneumonia, lungs, bronchitis, breast

[1:00:45] tumors, cysts, breast cancers, upper

[1:00:47] back stuff, shoulders, arms, hand stuff,

[1:00:51] um immune system issues. Um this is all

[1:00:55] fourth chakra related. The psyche is

[1:00:57] about thoughtfulness.

[1:00:59] So thoughtfulness meaning I I care about

[1:01:02] you. So I'm showing a level of care and

[1:01:04] respect, empathy and compassion. Right?

[1:01:07] That's it's about consideration for the

[1:01:10] other person. This is the heart. It's

[1:01:13] not just me me. It's like oh we we are

[1:01:16] here together. How can I help you?

[1:01:18] Right? Shadow overwhelm, grief, lack of

[1:01:20] boundaries, attachment. So the heart is

[1:01:23] very much about

[1:01:25] uh expanding our connection and

[1:01:28] belonging to not just oursel but with

[1:01:30] other people whether it's a lover or

[1:01:32] family members or a bigger social circle

[1:01:35] and so we can get overly attached to

[1:01:38] what we want the other person to to how

[1:01:41] they we want them to act and you know so

[1:01:44] that's what the attachment is. We get uh

[1:01:47] we get really upset when the other

[1:01:49] person doesn't do what we want them to

[1:01:51] do. So that's a conditioned way of of uh

[1:01:55] of the heart chakra. Whereas an

[1:01:57] unconditional love would be okay this is

[1:01:59] what I want but that's what you want. I

[1:02:02] respect that. Right? So that would be a

[1:02:04] healthy heart chakra. The themes around

[1:02:06] love, relationships, connection and

[1:02:08] boundaries.

[1:02:10] So these are the statements. I love and

[1:02:12] accept myself fully.

[1:02:16] So, I love others with compassion while

[1:02:19] honoring my boundaries.

[1:02:23] See how that feels in your heart.

[1:02:26] You know, are you able to

[1:02:28] see, let others be where they're at, but

[1:02:31] also know that maybe you can't help

[1:02:33] them. And so, maybe you might say, "No,

[1:02:36] uh, I'm I'm going to give you some

[1:02:37] advice and I can send you to somebody

[1:02:39] else, uh, but I I can't actually support

[1:02:42] you in this." or do you people please

[1:02:44] and let them, you know, drag you down

[1:02:46] with them if if you're not able to

[1:02:48] support them. Right? So that's what

[1:02:50] compassion is, like that you're able to

[1:02:52] support someone in a way that you can in

[1:02:55] your capacity, but you're not going down

[1:02:57] with the Right? I love through

[1:03:00] forgiveness and letting go of old

[1:03:02] wounds. Do you forgive easily,

[1:03:06] you know, or do you hold on to old

[1:03:07] wounds all the time? A lot of grudges.

[1:03:10] I love connecting deeply and

[1:03:12] authentically with others. How deep are

[1:03:15] the conversations you have? Are you are

[1:03:17] you good at revealing yourself? Are you

[1:03:20] able to let yourself be seen? This is

[1:03:22] about deep authentic connection. Do you

[1:03:24] just have superficial conversations? Do

[1:03:27] you not even know what you know

[1:03:29] authentic connection is? Is that not

[1:03:30] even on your radar? If that isn't that's

[1:03:32] kind of on the one side, right? So it

[1:03:35] means some there's a deficit somewhere

[1:03:37] in the heart chakra which is not you

[1:03:39] know bad. It just it's a gauge as to

[1:03:41] where you are right now in your

[1:03:42] development.

[1:03:44] I love giving and receiving harmoniously

[1:03:46] with others without expectation. So

[1:03:49] sometimes we give things expecting

[1:03:52] someone to give us something back in

[1:03:53] return. Do you give without expectation

[1:03:56] or or do you then hold a grudge because

[1:03:58] someone didn't give you back the thing

[1:04:00] that you thought they should be giving?

[1:04:02] Right? So check how that is for the

[1:04:05] heart chakra.

[1:04:08] Next one is ether, space or the throat.

[1:04:12] Okay, so element is ether or space. Uh,

[1:04:16] as the archetype, was the lord of the

[1:04:18] underworld. And so, you know, archetype

[1:04:21] here represents

[1:04:23] what we're hiding underneath the

[1:04:25] surface, the secrets, the things we mean

[1:04:26] to say, but we don't say. And so the the

[1:04:29] balance of taking up everything that's

[1:04:32] buried underneath from the underworld

[1:04:34] and expressing it in a kind,

[1:04:35] compassionate way is is what Hoscar

[1:04:38] represents. The color is blue. Thyroid

[1:04:40] is the gland. Earring and the ears is

[1:04:44] where we're at with the sense. So any

[1:04:46] issues with the neck, jaw, TMJ, like

[1:04:49] literal thyroid issues. I've worked with

[1:04:51] people with hyper or hypothyroidism.

[1:04:54] We know that we know that as Graves

[1:04:56] disease or Hashimoto's disease.

[1:04:58] Oftentimes

[1:05:00] with um hypothyroidism

[1:05:02] there is this paternal uh or authority

[1:05:05] figure that has kind of shut them up and

[1:05:08] often there's like a father theme. Not

[1:05:09] always with the father but there's

[1:05:13] there's always something there that that

[1:05:15] there's an authority figure that's

[1:05:17] clamping down on what they should be you

[1:05:19] know saying. And so um taking away

[1:05:23] someone's power to to speak what they

[1:05:25] really mean to say. Um so there might

[1:05:29] you might get sore throats or

[1:05:30] tonsillitis or laryngitis or hearing

[1:05:32] related issues, respiratory issues, uh

[1:05:36] joint issues, vocal speech related

[1:05:38] issues or even scoliosis. Um these are

[1:05:41] all physical things that might present

[1:05:43] if there's a throat chakra imbalance.

[1:05:45] Psyche is about truth. Are you telling

[1:05:47] the truth? Are you deceiving? Are you

[1:05:48] lying? Are you are you not saying what

[1:05:51] you mean? Are you gossiping? Right.

[1:05:54] Peaceful u expressiveness.

[1:05:57] Are you able to express in a kind,

[1:06:00] compassionate way? Like I said earlier,

[1:06:01] are you considerate? Can you speak your

[1:06:03] needs and your wants clearly? Or are you

[1:06:06] holding on to a lot of secrets? Are you

[1:06:08] overprotective? You see this a lot with

[1:06:10] with um some parents, you know,

[1:06:13] overprotecting. I I've seen this in uh

[1:06:16] adult clients I've worked with when they

[1:06:18] had this trauma from it's in their

[1:06:21] throat chakra because they had parents

[1:06:23] that overprotected them from some

[1:06:25] serious secrets that would have been

[1:06:27] better if their parents just had that

[1:06:29] serious conversation with them instead

[1:06:31] of hiding and trying to protect the kid

[1:06:34] from from telling them the secret. And

[1:06:36] then then that led to more trauma and

[1:06:38] then this throat thing in in the client.

[1:06:41] Um, so you know, are you overprotecting

[1:06:44] someone and avoiding the difficult hard

[1:06:46] conversation? Are you inexpressive,

[1:06:48] avoidant, basically suppressed

[1:06:50] expression? Themes are around

[1:06:52] communication, sharing, integrity,

[1:06:54] discernment, truth, music, sound,

[1:06:57] manifestation. The throat is where we

[1:06:59] manifest life. If you can't say it, you

[1:07:01] can't express your needs and your wants

[1:07:03] clearly, your life is not going to be

[1:07:06] the life that you want because you're

[1:07:07] not telling anybody. So that's why

[1:07:09] manifestation is a theme here.

[1:07:12] Rank these statements 1 to 10. I speak

[1:07:15] my truth with clarity and confidence. I

[1:07:18] speak words that uplift and align with

[1:07:21] my integrity.

[1:07:23] So So notice how your throat reacts. Did

[1:07:26] you have a frog in your throat? Are you

[1:07:27] swallowing? Are you like, "Oh my god, I

[1:07:30] definitely don't." Or you're like, "Oh

[1:07:32] yeah, I speak all the time." Right? Like

[1:07:33] me, I'm probably more on the excess. I

[1:07:36] tend to speak too much and so I need to

[1:07:40] come more into silence often, right?

[1:07:42] Maybe you're on the other side of the

[1:07:43] spectrum. I speak openly about my needs

[1:07:47] and boundaries. Do you know what you

[1:07:49] need? And are you able to ask for what

[1:07:51] you need for? Can you ask for support? I

[1:07:55] speak in a way that aligns my thoughts,

[1:07:57] words, and actions for an intentional

[1:07:58] life. Do you say one thing and then do

[1:08:01] another? essentially, you know, do your

[1:08:05] when you say something, do you then

[1:08:08] honor that and then follow it through

[1:08:10] the words and and and uh your do you

[1:08:13] honor your thoughts with the words and

[1:08:14] then actions to to to create a life

[1:08:17] that's intentional

[1:08:19] and speak with kind honesty and listen

[1:08:21] with non-judgmental presence.

[1:08:24] How do you speak to others? How do you

[1:08:26] speak to yourself? What are the you

[1:08:27] know, I like to think of words as

[1:08:29] casting spells.

[1:08:31] When you like sarcasm, for example, if

[1:08:34] you ever are around sarcastic people, do

[1:08:36] you notice that that self-deprecation,

[1:08:38] there's a level of truth in what they're

[1:08:39] saying? They're like, "Oh, it's just a

[1:08:41] joke." But then why are they saying that

[1:08:45] over and over again? And that sense of

[1:08:48] self-deprecation often becomes a kind of

[1:08:50] self harm, you know, to put oneself

[1:08:53] down, to make some to make oneself seem

[1:08:56] smaller. Um so just notice do you speak

[1:08:59] with honesty to yourself kind honesty

[1:09:02] and listen with with non-judgment or do

[1:09:05] you judge yourself through sarcasm

[1:09:09] all right two more chakras so we have

[1:09:11] the third eye which is the element of

[1:09:13] light the archetype is keta koatal who

[1:09:16] is the feathered serpent in

[1:09:18] messoamerican culture and the feathered

[1:09:20] serpent represents well the serpent

[1:09:22] represents the earth and the ser uh the

[1:09:24] feathered uh which is like the phoenix

[1:09:27] represents the sky. So, Katau is

[1:09:30] considered the morning star or mother

[1:09:32] Venus um and uh represents the the

[1:09:36] integration of the material and the

[1:09:38] spiritual realm uh coming together. And

[1:09:41] so we have the sense as intuition

[1:09:44] because it's the bridge between the

[1:09:46] immaterial and the material together.

[1:09:48] The color is indigo and then we have the

[1:09:50] glands is the pineal gland uh which is

[1:09:53] in the center of the brain. And so if

[1:09:56] there's any issues up here with the

[1:09:57] eyes, vision, blindness, nervous system

[1:10:00] issues, neurological disturbances,

[1:10:03] seizures, brain disorders, brain tumors,

[1:10:05] hemorrhages, strokes, insomnia, sleep

[1:10:08] issues, headaches, migraines, nose sinus

[1:10:10] issues, learning issues, uh spinal cord

[1:10:14] dysfunction, nerves, depression,

[1:10:17] anxiety, or panic. They can all be third

[1:10:20] eye related. So it's the the psyche is

[1:10:23] about wisdom, expanded awareness, a

[1:10:25] psychic connection. A psychic connection

[1:10:27] really is just uh a connection of the

[1:10:30] mind that is connected to a greater

[1:10:33] mind. You know, the the collective

[1:10:35] unconscious that Carl Jung called which

[1:10:39] is connected to a higher wisdom. Let's

[1:10:41] say the shadow would be if you're in

[1:10:43] constant doubt or in delusion, right?

[1:10:48] seeing things that are not really the

[1:10:50] truth. Like maybe 10 people in the room

[1:10:52] see it this way, but you see it that way

[1:10:53] and you're like, "No, no, I'm right."

[1:10:55] That's a kind of delusion. Uh fantasy.

[1:10:58] Um

[1:11:00] you know, fantasy versus daydreaming,

[1:11:02] right? I'm using fantasy here as uh not

[1:11:05] in a ne you know fantasy can be great

[1:11:07] because it allows us to create new

[1:11:09] worlds but fantasy in the way where you

[1:11:11] would rather retreat to that fantasy

[1:11:13] versus dealing with real life

[1:11:15] manipulating others and yourself over

[1:11:18] stimulation

[1:11:19] um trying to overstimulate the mind with

[1:11:22] like gadgets and things just to avoid uh

[1:11:25] tapping into something deeper addiction

[1:11:28] guru graveling. So that would be like

[1:11:31] putting all your trust, all the eggs in

[1:11:33] one basket to

[1:11:35] let's say a spiritual teacher. Like I

[1:11:37] always tell people like I you I want you

[1:11:39] to be your own guru. I'm not your guru,

[1:11:41] you know. Um we're all our own gurus,

[1:11:44] but we look to others for guide for

[1:11:46] guidance to remember that we're our own

[1:11:49] inner master and that that's really how

[1:11:52] spiritual work really should work. Um

[1:11:55] the themes are around intuition,

[1:11:57] purpose, clairvoyance, visions,

[1:11:59] dreaming, symbology, and getting getting

[1:12:01] inspired messages. So, okay, you can

[1:12:03] pause at any time. Uh read these

[1:12:06] statements out loud. See how this

[1:12:07] tingles around your ears, your eyes,

[1:12:09] your third eye, your forehead, the back

[1:12:11] of your skull. See what happens. I see

[1:12:13] beyond the illusions of my doubts and

[1:12:15] fears. It's a very human experience. I

[1:12:18] have doubts. I have fears for sure,

[1:12:19] right? I'm sure you do as well. And so

[1:12:23] when you have those doubts and fears,

[1:12:25] can you see the greater picture beyond

[1:12:27] the veil? Can you go, you know, Wizard

[1:12:29] of Oz like open the curtains and and see

[1:12:32] like, okay, my doubts and fears are for

[1:12:34] a reason and and then you understand the

[1:12:37] reason, you go through a process of

[1:12:38] understanding it and then you move

[1:12:39] forward or you get stuck in them, right?

[1:12:42] And then that would be delusion because

[1:12:44] the delusion is your doubts and fears

[1:12:45] are the actual truth, but they're not.

[1:12:48] So, where you are on that scale,

[1:12:50] I see my life path and purpose with

[1:12:53] clarity,

[1:12:56] right? And and that's a tricky one for

[1:12:58] some people and some people are like, I

[1:13:00] know exactly where I'm going. I have a

[1:13:01] 10-year plan. Like, that might be on the

[1:13:03] excess side. Whereas some people might

[1:13:06] be like, I have no idea. You know, think

[1:13:08] of purpose also as an expression of your

[1:13:10] love and your creativity. Are you doing

[1:13:12] what you love and loving what you do?

[1:13:15] And are you then? And it doesn't, you

[1:13:17] know, we're all here to be expressions

[1:13:19] of love and peace and joy in various

[1:13:22] ways. Some people are meant to do that

[1:13:24] through building buildings as an

[1:13:25] architect. Some people are meant to be

[1:13:26] doing coaching work. Some people are

[1:13:28] psychotherapists. Some people are school

[1:13:29] teachers. Some people are janitors.

[1:13:31] Right? That's it doesn't matter what

[1:13:34] career it is, but are you doing your

[1:13:36] purpose and expressing it in your career

[1:13:39] choice?

[1:13:40] I see the wisdom of the symbols in my

[1:13:43] dreams. Do you pay attention to your

[1:13:44] dreams? Do you just ignore them? Right?

[1:13:46] Dreams are constantly coded with symbols

[1:13:49] and and you know the Aboriginal people

[1:13:52] of Australia, you know, they talk about

[1:13:55] the dream time and they say that it will

[1:13:58] be the end of mankind when we stop

[1:14:00] dreaming, right? That that the dream

[1:14:02] time is is so important. Without dreams,

[1:14:06] you know, human beings, they they cannot

[1:14:09] progress. They cannot move forward. And

[1:14:11] so do you pay attention to them? I see

[1:14:14] through the eyes of intuition with an

[1:14:16] expanded awareness that goes beyond the

[1:14:18] physical mind. Right? Are you able to

[1:14:21] trust and to see into things that are

[1:14:24] invisible? Just like there are so many

[1:14:26] things that we cannot see. We can only

[1:14:28] see like a small percentage of of

[1:14:31] reality with the human eye. There are

[1:14:33] infrared rays, X-rays, electromagnetic

[1:14:36] rays, radio waves, ultraviolet rays that

[1:14:39] we cannot see with the physical eye. But

[1:14:41] we we know they're there. So when we

[1:14:44] look at through the world with our third

[1:14:46] eye, you know, you know, when I see

[1:14:49] things through the third eye, I see

[1:14:51] images, but not in the way that I see,

[1:14:53] you know, images in real life. Are you

[1:14:55] tapped into that? Can you see when you

[1:14:58] close your eyes?

[1:15:00] I see how inspiration in every

[1:15:02] interaction and situ Oh, I see. Scratch

[1:15:05] the how. I see inspiration in every

[1:15:08] interaction and sui situation that I

[1:15:11] encounter. So

[1:15:13] that goes for positive, negative, and

[1:15:15] neutral experiences in your life. You

[1:15:18] know, when you get fired at work, do you

[1:15:20] see that you lash out or do you see that

[1:15:22] as like, oh wow, I can see the big

[1:15:25] picture. This job was not aligned with

[1:15:28] my purpose and my life path. One door

[1:15:30] closes, another opportunity is going to

[1:15:32] open. And I trust that you know and so

[1:15:35] then every moment is inspiring. How are

[1:15:37] you on that scale?

[1:15:41] All right. Last chakra is the crown

[1:15:43] chakra. So we have here the element of

[1:15:45] thought because thoughts create our

[1:15:47] reality. Just like we said earlier,

[1:15:49] beliefs change our biochemistry. The

[1:15:51] archetype is Pachakuti. In the Ko

[1:15:55] tradition, Pachakuti is the reformer of

[1:15:57] the world. He's the one who restores

[1:16:01] order and transforms the one patcha is

[1:16:04] about 500 years. It's like a patcha

[1:16:07] means many um things in Ketwa. It's the

[1:16:11] it it means a period of time. It also

[1:16:13] means the earth. Um it means the the

[1:16:16] reformation or the transformation and

[1:16:18] and restoring things to the right order.

[1:16:21] And so it really is the archetype of a

[1:16:23] new world order or a new earth so to

[1:16:26] speak. The color is violet. The gland is

[1:16:29] the pituitary, which is the master

[1:16:31] control gland. There's no sense here

[1:16:33] because now we're we're going a little

[1:16:35] bit beyond the physical body.

[1:16:38] The physical body symptoms that present

[1:16:40] can deal with headaches, migraines,

[1:16:42] seizures, dizziness, tremors, brain

[1:16:44] related disorders, multiple sclerosis,

[1:16:47] Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's,

[1:16:50] neurological issues, memory issues,

[1:16:52] paralysis, severe mental illness,

[1:16:55] schizophrenia, delusions or

[1:16:57] unexplainable depression. I have worked

[1:17:00] with people with this kind of

[1:17:01] unexplainable depression like I said

[1:17:02] with the the Holocaust uh products of

[1:17:05] Holocaust survivors or one or two

[1:17:08] generations down and and when we work

[1:17:10] energetically with restoring the

[1:17:12] connection to crown the crown is

[1:17:14] literally the inverse of the root. So if

[1:17:16] you look at the image of a tree the

[1:17:18] branches of the tree and the roots of

[1:17:20] the tree are mirrored images of each

[1:17:22] other. And so the root that connects

[1:17:24] from the top of the head up to the sky

[1:17:26] is like the root. It's like a root

[1:17:29] system, but they're branches that

[1:17:31] connect to the stars. And so really, you

[1:17:34] can think of it as a reconnection to the

[1:17:37] stardust that we've come from because

[1:17:39] we're all made of stardust, right? If

[1:17:41] you look at that from a uh not just

[1:17:43] poetically but literally we're made from

[1:17:45] the dust of stars um from the hydrogen

[1:17:48] and the the carbon and all the you know

[1:17:51] things that stars are made of we are

[1:17:52] made of that. Um so the psyche here is

[1:17:55] bliss divine connection trust in a

[1:17:58] higher power and beyond labels. The

[1:18:01] shadow here is getting really confused

[1:18:03] feeling a sense of separation like it's

[1:18:06] oh wo is me it's only happening to me

[1:18:09] but it's not. is happening to everybody,

[1:18:11] right? We're not islands in our own. Um,

[1:18:14] feeling alienated, feeling a sense of

[1:18:16] apathy or or depression. The themes are

[1:18:19] around pure consciousness, bliss,

[1:18:21] universal identity and wisdom. Okay. So,

[1:18:24] rank these statements 1 to 10. I am

[1:18:27] connected to the divine within and

[1:18:29] around me.

[1:18:31] So this is uh this is about

[1:18:35] this is about think about the divine

[1:18:37] within and around it as you're fill in

[1:18:40] the blank with divine. That could be God

[1:18:42] for you if um you use the word God. It

[1:18:45] could be universe. It could be energy.

[1:18:47] It could be spirit. It could be you know

[1:18:50] the infinite intelligence of something

[1:18:53] my limited mind can't comprehend. But

[1:18:55] it's that that's what I mean by divine.

[1:18:58] It's beyond you. But you can feel the

[1:19:01] bigness of what's beyond you within you

[1:19:03] and then also around you. So see where

[1:19:05] you are on that scale.

[1:19:08] I am open to higher wisdom and guidance

[1:19:11] that brings ease and grace. So do you do

[1:19:15] you trust in things that you don't uh

[1:19:17] understand? Like I had I've had clients

[1:19:20] who are very intuitive and they're very

[1:19:22] connected to seeing symbols,

[1:19:24] synchronistic events, maybe seeing a

[1:19:26] bunch of like 11-1ven and then seeing

[1:19:28] 11-1ven on someone's uh car plates when

[1:19:31] they're driving and they're like, "Whoa,

[1:19:32] I got to invest this money into this

[1:19:34] company or whatever it is, right?" And

[1:19:36] and so there, you know, some some of the

[1:19:38] most successful people are very

[1:19:39] connected to that higher intuitive um

[1:19:42] place and and they probably they just

[1:19:45] kind of keep it um

[1:19:47] in the closet um so as not to freak

[1:19:49] everybody out, but you know, I have

[1:19:52] witnessed a lot of these people um and

[1:19:54] they are very connected to the higher

[1:19:56] wisdom and that guidance that's bringing

[1:19:58] the messages. So how are you on that

[1:20:01] scale? Um do you listen to that higher

[1:20:03] wisdom?

[1:20:05] I am awareness itself. That's a pretty

[1:20:08] that's a big statement. I am awareness

[1:20:10] itself beyond thoughts and the roles

[1:20:13] assigned to me. So it's kind of like

[1:20:15] then your like how Shakespeare says you

[1:20:18] know all the world's a stage and each uh

[1:20:20] men and women are merely players right

[1:20:23] that we are we're all wear these skin

[1:20:25] suits we call bodies and we've been

[1:20:28] assigned certain roles certain gender

[1:20:31] expressions certain kinds of uh cultural

[1:20:34] conditionings and and families right

[1:20:37] with with types certain types of

[1:20:39] traumas. So you if you are awareness

[1:20:43] itself, do you see your thoughts and the

[1:20:46] roles that you're assigned in this life

[1:20:49] as a little bit of a game like a Sims

[1:20:51] character almost and that that you can

[1:20:54] almost like zoom out and go like yeah

[1:20:56] I'll I'll play this role in in in a very

[1:20:59] aware way because it's an expression of

[1:21:02] of uh of the greater infinite uh

[1:21:05] intelligence that's um that we were

[1:21:08] talking about earlier. All right. I am

[1:21:11] connected to all beings and am part of

[1:21:13] the infinite web of existence.

[1:21:16] So like when you are having a bit of

[1:21:21] road rage. This is an interesting thing,

[1:21:24] right? Can you have empathy and

[1:21:26] compassion that that person in the other

[1:21:29] vehicle is connected to you? you're all

[1:21:32] connected in this traffic grid and

[1:21:34] you're all part of a web, you know, or

[1:21:36] do you just get angry at them and

[1:21:37] feeling this sense of separation,

[1:21:38] alienation, um, and and just objectify

[1:21:42] them and just go, get out of my way. But

[1:21:44] but trusting and knowing that there's,

[1:21:46] you know, I am you, you are me, so I can

[1:21:49] be compassionate and patient while I'm

[1:21:50] waiting in this traffic jam, right? Same

[1:21:53] thing goes for if you get into an

[1:21:54] altercation. I am you, you are me. You

[1:21:58] know, the trauma that happened to mother

[1:22:00] is the trauma that happens to me. So, I

[1:22:02] have to be forgiving to her because to

[1:22:05] me and to her because we're both

[1:22:07] connected, right?

[1:22:09] Infinite web of existence. I am a vessel

[1:22:13] for life to move with me. Oh, I am a

[1:22:17] vessel for life to move with me, through

[1:22:19] me, as me to anchor truth.

[1:22:23] So, with me, through me, as me. You

[1:22:25] know, you again as a skin suit, you are

[1:22:29] receiving consciousness, your soul's

[1:22:32] consciousness, and allowing it to play

[1:22:34] out through this one unique life that

[1:22:37] you have before you move into a another

[1:22:40] incarnation. So, see how all those

[1:22:42] statements go and you can relisten to

[1:22:44] this again. And that is how the mental

[1:22:49] and emotional plays out in your energy.

[1:22:51] So depending on what scores you have,

[1:22:53] whether you have like more ones or or

[1:22:56] more tens or more fives, you'll see if

[1:22:58] you're in a deficit, you're in an

[1:23:00] excess, like some like for example, an

[1:23:03] excess, like a lot of tens would be in,

[1:23:06] let's say, in the solar plexus, you

[1:23:08] might present as someone who is like uh

[1:23:11] overly pushy, like cocky

[1:23:15] um like someone walks into the room

[1:23:17] like, "It's my way of the highway. Get

[1:23:18] out of here. I can't be a team player."

[1:23:20] Right? That could be like excess 10,

[1:23:22] right? So, we're not trying to get all

[1:23:23] tens. We're not trying to get all ones.

[1:23:26] Like a balanced chakra system would be

[1:23:28] like fives using my numbering system

[1:23:31] here. There's many ways to do an a

[1:23:33] self-rating system. And then that is

[1:23:36] just your own guidance as to where you

[1:23:39] are mentally, emotionally, because

[1:23:41] that's then going to play out as to most

[1:23:44] likely if you were to bring me the chart

[1:23:46] and I were to scan your energy field, we

[1:23:48] would feel if that field is more

[1:23:50] contracted or or expanded based off of

[1:23:52] what you wrote. And you know, so this is

[1:23:55] a this is a quick and easy fun way to

[1:23:58] look at how your energy um centers are

[1:24:01] functioning. Um and then also we could

[1:24:04] work oppositely. We can also scan your

[1:24:07] energy center and then find those those

[1:24:10] belief systems um living there. So

[1:24:14] use this as um as information for

[1:24:17] yourself as where you need to grow where

[1:24:20] you need to go to evolve to develop

[1:24:23] yourself more um in your relationships

[1:24:25] with yourself with others. And um I hope

[1:24:28] this was informative and gives you more

[1:24:30] insight into what energy healing is,

In his workshop, Chong describes shamanic energy healing as a way of bridging the physical material world and the unseen world of energy. He frames complete healing as resolving dense patterns from belief systems, stress, and emotional overwhelm that later show up as physical ailments.
Chong lays out physical, emotional, mental, ancestral, and soul levels of healing, all surrounding a single physical symptom. He describes the ancestral layer as inherited patterns that may come from the father's or mother's line, reaching back as far as seven generations.
Viewers are asked to rate themselves from 1 to 10 for each of the seven chakras and to journal in response to inquiry statements. The goal is to see where energy is flowing and where healing may be needed, and Chong notes that each center can be deficient, excessive, or balanced.
Chong presents the Andean medicine wheel as an ancient map of transformation and healing. He discusses Pachakuti as a reformer and uses the image of a tree's branches and roots to show how visible change depends on what lies hidden beneath.
Chong associates the root chakra with home, money, and material security, the ground beneath daily life. Its guiding questions ask whether a person feels grounded in their environment and material circumstances.
Chong describes a shoulder restriction shared by himself, his sister, and his father, and links it to his father's experiences as a refugee who was arrested and faced violence. He presents this as an inherited pattern that appears in the body of the next generation.
Chong's approach is framed as a complement to a wider holistic view rather than a substitute for treatment. Because many of the body-to-emotion links he draws are symbolic, anyone dealing with serious illness should consult qualified medical care alongside this kind of inner work.
