There is a vibration that carries through every sacred chant — one that dissolves separation and brings hearts into unity. For those who sing the Divine Name, the purpose has never been fame or profit, but service.
That same current of devotion runs through BrightStar — a platform created not as a business venture, but as an act of Seva for the global Bhakti community.
After more than a decade serving sacred musicians and conscious gatherings around the world, BrightStar has introduced Seva — free ticketing software for Kirtan artists and devotional musicians. A simple, transparent, and heartfelt tool for those who share the light of sacred sound.
Because BrightStar wasn't built to serve the market. It was born from Bhakti, in the service of Bhakti.
BrightStar's story begins within the living stream of Kirtan itself. Its founder, Akal Sahai Khalsa, spent ten years as Snatam Kaur's tour manager, helping bring sacred music to tens of thousands across the world. His father, GuruGanesha Singh, co-founded BrightStar and is also the founder of Spirit Voyage Records — the pioneering label that helped carry the sound of mantra music into mainstream awareness.
GuruGanesha is not only a visionary producer but also an accomplished Bhakti musician who has toured internationally with Snatam Kaur and the GuruGanesha Band. His life's work has been dedicated to using music as a vehicle for consciousness, love, and remembrance.
Together, father and son built BrightStar as a continuation of that same devotional current — a way to serve artists, organizers, and seekers with integrity, transparency, and heart.
"BrightStar was never conceived as a startup. It was born from Bhakti, in the service of Bhakti."
For over a decade, BrightStar has supported the world's leading voices in devotional chant — Snatam Kaur, Krishna Das, Deva Premal & Miten, and Jai Uttal — along with countless event organizers and communities that host their gatherings.
Through those years, BrightStar has witnessed something profound: Behind every Kirtan, there is Seva. Behind every melody, there is intention. Behind every concert, there is community.
That understanding shaped every detail of BrightStar's platform — from how ticket revenue flows directly to artists, to the simplicity of the tools themselves. Seva wasn't designed to commercialize sacred music; it was designed to support it.
Seva is BrightStar's free, forever ticketing platform — created especially for Kirtan artists, Bhakti musicians, and organizers of sacred music gatherings.
It's not "free" in the sense of a marketing hook. It's free in the spirit of generosity — a humble offering back to the community that gave BrightStar its very life.
With Seva, artists can:
- Create and publish events quickly and easily.
- Receive payments directly through Stripe.
- Scan tickets with a simple mobile check-in app.
- Access clean, accurate reporting — without clutter or confusion.
No contracts. No hidden fees. No percentage taken from your offering.
It's simple. Transparent. Devotional. Just as Bhakti itself.
In a digital world where nearly everything has a price tag, offering something freely is a radical act of love.
Seva isn't a product built to attract customers — it's an offering built to uplift a lineage. The Kirtan movement has given so much to the world: healing, unity, and heart. BrightStar simply wanted to give something back.
To create software as an act of Seva means to honor the sacred exchange at the core of Bhakti — to serve without expectation of return, trusting that the music itself is the reward.
By removing financial barriers and commercial interference, Seva allows artists to stay fully focused on what matters most: the chanting, the connection, the vibration of love that transforms every gathering.
Not all software understands silence. Not every algorithm can feel the stillness after the last note of "Govinda."
That's why BrightStar built Seva differently. The platform is intentionally simple — clean design, intuitive flow, and no distractions. It doesn't compete with your event. It disappears into it.
For many Kirtan artists, technology has always felt like an intrusion — too corporate, too mechanical, too far removed from the organic energy of Bhakti. Seva brings technology back into alignment with the sacred.
It's human-centered, spiritually aligned, and built on the principle that technology should never overshadow the intention it serves.
BrightStar's journey has always been one of service. Since its earliest days, the platform has helped produce and promote thousands of conscious gatherings, concerts, and festivals — selling over $100 million in tickets for events dedicated to awakening and connection.
But for those at the heart of the movement — the Kirtan artists who travel from temple to temple, yoga studio to amphitheater — profit has never been the motive. The motive is love.
And love, by its nature, wants to give.
That is why BrightStar's Seva platform exists: to give freely, so others may continue to share their gifts without restriction.
Kirtan takes many forms — from small satsangs and living-room gatherings to massive open-air festivals like Bhakti Fest. Seva was designed to support them all.
Whether you're leading an intimate evening of chanting in your local community or planning a multi-city devotional tour, Seva offers the same graceful simplicity.
Its flexible design means you can create and manage events anywhere in the world, reach your audience directly, and maintain ownership of your data and your message.
Because Bhakti doesn't belong to a platform. It belongs to everyone.
The future of the Bhakti movement depends on new voices — emerging artists carrying the mantras into new spaces, new generations, and new hearts.
Seva was created not just for the established masters, but for those who are just beginning their journey. BrightStar wanted to ensure that even the smallest local Kirtan circle has access to the same professional tools used by the greats — without cost or complexity.
The goal is simple: to make it easier for more people to gather, to chant, and to share the sound current that heals and unites.
When an artist succeeds in bringing people together through devotion, everyone benefits.
These words are more than a tagline — they're the heartbeat of BrightStar itself.
BrightStar was founded by those who have lived and breathed Kirtan for decades. It's not a business built around the movement; it's a movement that built a business — one that exists to serve, not to sell.
From GuruGanesha Singh's visionary work at Spirit Voyage Records, to Akal Sahai Khalsa's years of touring alongside Snatam Kaur, the intention has remained the same: to use every available means — including technology — to support the transmission of sacred sound.
BrightStar's Seva platform carries that legacy forward. It is Bhakti expressed through code. It is devotion made digital.
If you're a Kirtan artist, devotional musician, or producer of conscious music gatherings, Seva is your invitation to simplify your work and expand your reach — without ever compromising your values.
Let your technology reflect your heart. Let your work remain pure. Let your service be effortless.
Because when Bhakti leads, everything else follows.
