Next Steps in the Guiding of Souls (Live Stream)

Next Steps in the Guiding of Souls is an advanced shamanic workshop on psychopomp, the sacred art of guiding and supporting souls. It is taught as a live stream through the Foundation of the Sacred Stream, a school for consciousness studies based in Berkeley, California, and is led by Isa Gucciardi. It is meant for students who have already completed Soul Retrieval and the Guiding of Souls and want more confidence, skill and presence in non-ordinary reality.

What to Expect

This is a single afternoon of shamanic training, five hours long, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Pacific Time (3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Eastern Time). The session combines guided instruction with hands-on practice in psychopomp work, so you are not only hearing about the practice but working with it as it is taught.

The aim is to deepen your understanding of advanced psychopomp practice and to give you direct experience of it. The course builds on the foundation of the prerequisite class rather than starting from the beginning.

There are no preparation videos and no pre-coursework. You arrive with what you already know from the earlier class and work from there.

Attendance is required for the full session. Anyone planning to take the Advanced Shamanism Retreat who has an urgent reason they cannot attend this class is asked to contact the school.

About Isa Gucciardi

Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D., is the Founding Director of the Foundation of the Sacred Stream, a non-profit school for consciousness studies in Berkeley, California, founded in 2002. She is a hypnotherapist and the creator of Depth Hypnosis, a therapeutic model, and the author of Coming to Peace.

Her path into this work began early. She spent most of her early years in other countries before moving to the United States as a teenager, and she was struck by how little people around her wanted to talk about death. Reading Elisabeth Kübler-Ross's On Death and Dying in the early seventies came as a relief. Years of volunteering in hospice settings, including the Zen Hospice Project, led her to a view she still holds: everyone grieves in their own way, and the most helpful thing is often to sit quietly and offer a non-judgmental space.

The Setting

The workshop is held as distance learning, so you take part from wherever you are through the live stream. The school itself is in Berkeley, California.

Before You Go

This is an advanced-level course taught in English. The prerequisite is Soul Retrieval and the Guiding of Souls, and the class is designed for students who have completed it.

Access to the live stream of the workshop session is included. Preparatory videos and pre-coursework are not offered. Because the session runs on Pacific Time, check the start time against your own time zone, and plan to be present for the whole five hours.

Students repeating this course may be eligible for a reduced registration, though restrictions may apply.
