Yoga Teacher Training Bali RYT 200 Yoga Alliance Certified

This yoga teacher training in Bali is a Yoga Alliance certified RYT 200 course in the Bikram hot yoga tradition, held in Seminyak at Soham Wellness Center. It suits complete beginners, committed practitioners and existing teachers who want to become certified, deepen their practice or sharpen their teaching. The in-person training is led by Mr. Ian, a senior Bikram Hot Yoga teacher who trained directly with Bikram Choudhury.

The format is hybrid. You complete the theory online at your own pace, then travel to Bali for a six-day in-person intensive. You arrive prepared, and the days in Seminyak are given over to practice, correction and teaching.

What to Expect

Before you travel, online precourse modules cover the foundations: the 26 asanas and 2 pranayama techniques of the Bikram series, anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy and ethics, teaching methodology and cueing, and meditation and mindfulness tools.

Each of the six days in Bali follows the same rhythm:

- 07:00 to 08:30: morning hot yoga class
- 10:00 to 12:00: posture clinic and correction sessions
- 13:00 to 14:30: practical teaching and feedback
- 17:00 to 18:30: evening hot yoga class
- 19:00 to 19:30: journaling and reflection
- 19:30 to 20:00: community sharing circle

Practice teaching begins on Day 1. You lead sun salutations and give alignment cues, receiving personal feedback from your mentors, and the course describes teaching to classes of 50 or more students as a way to work through nerves and find your own teaching style.

Bonus masterclass sessions run alongside the main training: yoga and business, yoga and mindset, sound healing, the art of creating sequences, branding yourself as a yoga teacher, and teaching online versus in person. A graduation dinner marks the end of the week. On completion you receive a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 certificate, which allows you to teach in studios, at retreats or online.

About Mr. Ian

Mr. Ian is a senior Bikram Hot Yoga teacher with over two decades of teaching experience around the world. He trained directly with Bikram Choudhury and is known for his clarity, his passion and a supportive coaching style. His teaching blends the traditional Bikram method with modern techniques.

The Setting

Training takes place at Soham Wellness Center in the heart of Seminyak, Bali. The modern facility has hot yoga rooms, showers and a cafe, and cafes, beaches and local culture are within a short walk.

Accommodation is optional and not part of the course, though partner options are offered. Djabu Hotel is about a two-minute walk from the venue, Isvara Hotel is described as peaceful and comfortable, and private local villas within walking distance are available at more affordable rates.

Before You Go

The program is open to all levels. Many students arrive with no prior experience, and the online precourse modules are designed to bring everyone to a shared foundation before the intensive begins. Experienced teachers also join to deepen their knowledge of Bikram yoga or to gain more teaching practice, and some come purely for personal practice with no plan to teach. The course is taught in English.

Included are the online precourse modules, the six-day in-person intensive with daily hot yoga classes, posture clinics and practical teaching with feedback, the masterclass sessions, the graduation dinner and the Yoga Alliance RYT 200 certificate. A free Bikram Dialogue e-book is offered to those who register interest. Accommodation and meals are not included, and there are plenty of healthy cafes near the venue.
