Descripción
Wild + Unplugged: Yosemite 2027 is a three-night women's wellness retreat at AutoCamp Yosemite in Midpines, California, just outside the national park. It is led by yoga teacher and somatic coach Heather Nichole of Roaming Sisterhood, and it pairs guided hiking with yoga, nervous system practices and time around the campfire. It is for the woman who has been holding everything together and wants a few days of fresh air, movement and company. Most guests come on their own, and the group is kept small.
What to Expect
The retreat runs three nights and four days, and the days follow a steady rhythm. Mornings are slow: coffee, quiet, journaling, then yoga and nervous system grounding under open sky. Days are for guided hikes, with a chef-prepared lunch in your daypack and transport to every trailhead handled. Hikes include Taft Point, Glacier Point and quieter trails chosen for the group. Afternoons are left open for rest in your Airstream, time by the pool, or simply being outside.
Evenings begin with a chef-cooked camp dinner at the shared table, followed by the fire, storytelling and workshops. Integration circles give space to reflect on what comes up. The first day is for arriving, settling in and meeting everyone at the first campfire. The last morning ends with a closing circle before the return to Fresno. After you get home, four weeks of community support continue inside the Roaming Sisterhood Circle.
About Heather Nichole
Heather Nichole is a yoga teacher, somatic coach, retreat leader and nervous system practitioner based in Temecula, California. She is known for Roaming Sisterhood, her small-group women's retreats in places such as Zion, Costa Rica, Thailand, Yosemite and Ireland, and for teaching breathwork, embodiment and mindful movement. Her work grows out of lived experience: she spent a decade as an award-winning destination photographer, and after a long marriage ended and burnout set in, she rebuilt her life as a single mother of three. For over ten years she guided couples through Yosemite as an elopement photographer, which is how she came to know its trails, its light and its lesser-known corners.
The Setting
AutoCamp Yosemite sits off Highway 140 in Midpines, in the Sierra foothills. Guests stay in Airstreams set among the trees, each with a queen memory foam bed, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, a mini fridge, a kitchenette, heating and air conditioning, and a patio with a fire pit and grill. You can have an Airstream to yourself or share one with a friend, with one person on the queen bed and the other on the pull-out sofa. The lodge offers a place to gather, a pool, free coffee and tea, and a general store.
Dinners and trail lunches come from a local chef cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Breakfast is on your own, with a small station at the lodge, a made-to-order option to purchase, or your own food in the Airstream fridge.
Most guests fly into Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), about an hour and a half to two hours from camp. A retreat shuttle meets the group at the airport on arrival day, stops for groceries on the way, and returns there at the end, so you can meet the others before reaching camp. If you prefer to drive, the road is winding mountain highway, so plan to arrive in daylight. Once at camp, everyone is driven to the trailheads.
Before You Go
All levels are welcome. Yoga includes modifications for every pose, and hikes are guided at a pace that suits the group. The retreat is held in English. Questions about fitness or ability can be talked through with the host before booking.
Included are three nights in an Airstream, three chef-prepared camp dinners, two packed trail lunches, transport to and from trailheads and viewpoints, daily yoga and nervous system practices, workshops, integration circles, campfires and four weeks of post-retreat support. Flights, a rental car if you choose to drive, full breakfast and travel insurance are not included. Dietary needs and allergies can be noted when you book.
