Who is In?

Who Is In? is a spiritual workshop at PachaMama in Nicoya, Costa Rica, built around a single koan: "Who Is In?" It is meant for people drawn to self-inquiry, meditation and the question of who is actually here behind the thoughts, roles and stories we carry. The workshop creates a space to work with that koan as a powerful device designed to allow a remembrance.

What to Expect

The koan is the center of the gathering. Rather than offering answers, it works as a question to sit with, and the workshop gives room for that. It runs over four days, long enough to let the question settle past first reactions and become something lived rather than only thought about.

PachaMama schedules this workshop alongside other inquiry-based offerings, including Vipassana, silent retreats and a workshop on attuning to the invisible. If you have sat with those practices before, the setting and rhythm of the place may feel familiar.

The Setting

PachaMama is a retreat center in the Nicoya region of Costa Rica, known for meditation retreats, body cleanse programs, emotional healing workshops, yoga workshops, Red Road ceremonies and musical journeys. Its programs take place in the tropical forest, and the property includes a jungle reserve with riverbanks. Days here are shaped by the surrounding nature as much as by the schedule.

PachaMama closes for September and October, during Costa Rica's rainy season, so its workshops are held in the other months of the year.
