Descripción
The Vajrayogini Intensive is a tantra program led by the Dorje Loppön at Drala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. It centers on Vajrayogini practice within the Shambhala setting of the center, and it is offered for people drawn to Vajrayana study and practice who want to spend concentrated time with a senior teacher in a mountain retreat environment.
The Place
Drala Mountain Center has hosted gatherings for more than 50 years, with year-round offerings that draw on Shambhala teachings, contemplative arts, body awareness practices, indigenous wisdom traditions and mindful living. The land is in the mountains near Red Feather Lakes, in northern Colorado.
The grounds include eight miles of wilderness trails and the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya, which many visitors walk to and meditate near. Quiet time outdoors, with space for reading, journaling or simply resting, is part of the rhythm of being on the land, and a program like this one can be held within it.
Before You Go
Specific details of the intensive, such as the schedule, the prerequisites for practice and the lodging options, are best confirmed with Drala Mountain Center when you register. Because Vajrayogini practice belongs to the Vajrayana path, anyone unsure whether the program fits their level of experience should ask the center before committing.
