Acerca de Este Evento

Descripción

The Becoming is a Glastonbury divine feminine retreat for women who feel ready for a new chapter. Held over a spring weekend at Goddess House (Avalon Rooms) in Glastonbury, Somerset, England, it draws on Kundalini Goddess ceremony, shamanic womb healing, meditation and visits to the town's sacred sites. The themes are the Maiden archetype, the energy of new beginnings, and Brigid, keeper of the sacred flame. Katie hosts the weekend, and the organizer describes Glastonbury as a place that has felt like coming home on her own path.

It suits women going through a change, a period of healing, or a quiet sense that something new is stirring. You do not need to know what comes next.

What to Expect

The weekend runs from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and is paced on purpose, with room to rest, explore and integrate between sessions.

It opens on Friday at 7pm with a ceremony on Glastonbury Tor: arriving, meeting the group, setting intentions and welcoming the spring. A private opening ceremony at the Magdalene Chapel also marks the start of the retreat.

Saturday begins at 9:30am and runs to 1pm. It includes an opening circle, channelled guidance with tarot or oracle readings, a Kundalini Goddess ceremony, and a private healing ceremony at the White Spring, with themes of forgiveness, release and inner peace. After a lunch break and free time, the group meets again from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Chalice Well Gardens for a release and purification practice, sisterhood connection and a Mary Magdalene-inspired ritual. In the evening there is an optional group dinner, and possibly a Full Moon walk up the Tor with drummers.

Sunday runs from 10am to 1pm and turns toward creation: a Kundalini Goddess manifesting ceremony, a shamanic drumming journey, and work with inner fire and creative power. After lunch, the closing circle and ritual takes place on the Tor from 3pm to 4pm, with an optional return to the White Spring afterwards. The schedule is a guide and may change.

Kundalini Goddess, as taught here, blends Kundalini yoga, movement, breathwork, mantra and chanting, intention setting, shamanic womb healing, and time for sisterhood and quiet. The womb is approached as a symbolic centre of creativity and life force, and the weekend explores the balance of inner feminine and masculine energies.

The Setting

Indoor sessions take place in the Avalon Rooms at Goddess House, a space for ceremony and meditation. The rest of the weekend moves through Glastonbury itself: the Magdalene Chapel, the White Spring with private access for a bathing ritual, Chalice Well Gardens with the Red Spring, and Glastonbury Tor.

A private double bedroom with shared bathroom is available for those who want to stay on the retreat. Others can arrange their own stay, and the host can recommend bed and breakfasts, Airbnb rentals and campsites, and help with room or car shares. Booking early gives the best choice within walking distance of the high street. If you drive, St Johns car park is the main option, with limited free street parking.

Before You Go

All levels are welcome. No experience of Kundalini yoga or spiritual practice is needed, only an open mind and a willingness to connect. The retreat is held in English.

Included are the retreat sessions and ceremonies from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, and accommodation only if you choose the residential option. Meals are not included, nor is the optional Saturday dinner. Entry to Chalice Well Gardens is paid separately, and the White Spring access is by donation, with a suggestion of whatever you can afford. Parking is also your own cost.

One past guest described the weekend as full yet spacious, with ceremonies that felt authentic and time between sessions to connect as a group.
