Restorative Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training – PachaMama, Costa Rica

The Restorative Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training is a 14-day yoga teacher training at PachaMama Eco Village & Retreat Center in Nicoya, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. It is built around restorative yoga and meditation, and it ends with certification as a teacher. The training is open to yoga teachers, practitioners, and others drawn to slower, supported forms of practice who want to learn to teach them.

What to Expect

The training runs for fourteen days and centers on two practices: restorative yoga and meditation. Restorative yoga is a quiet, supported style of practice, so this is a training in rest, stillness and attention rather than in vigorous movement. By the end, participants are certified to teach restorative yoga.

The Setting

PachaMama is an eco village and retreat center in the tropical forest of Nicoya, Guanacaste, in Costa Rica. The center hosts meditation retreats, yoga workshops, emotional healing workshops, body cleanse programs, Red Road ceremonies and musical journeys throughout its season. Teacher training here takes place among that wider community of retreats and workshops. The center closes for the rainy season in September and October, so trainings are held outside those months.

Before You Go

The training welcomes both working yoga teachers and practitioners who want to deepen their own practice and begin teaching restorative yoga and meditation. Because it lasts two weeks, plan to be at PachaMama for the full period.
