Reiki Sound Bath

A Reiki sound bath in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, this evening gathering pairs crystal singing bowls, chimes and voice with Reiki energy shared throughout. It is for anyone who wants an unhurried evening of rest, with nothing to prepare and nothing to practise. It is held at All Saints' Church and is led by sacred sound artist and yoga teacher Molly-Anne Chinner.

What to Expect

You arrive into a quiet space where, as the organizer puts it, there is nothing to do, nowhere to be and nothing to achieve. The session runs for ninety minutes, from 19:00 to 20:30 GMT, and is built around receiving rather than doing.

Once everyone has settled, the sound begins: crystal singing bowls, chimes, voice and other sacred instruments. The vibrations are described as washing through the body like ripples across still water, softening tension and quietening the mind. Reiki energy is shared alongside the sound, offered as a gentle support for the whole person. The aim of the evening is to soothe the nervous system and to let body, mind and spirit settle back into step with one another.

About Molly-Anne Chinner

Molly-Anne Chinner is a sacred sound artist, songstress and yoga teacher based in Berkhamsted. She is the creatrix of the Frequency of Light™ technique, a multidimensional approach to sound healing that weaves crystalline sound, intuitive voice and subtle energy work. Through voice, crystal bowls and ceremony, she creates musical stories inspired by the songlines of the Earth.

She grew up in the British countryside, among ancient woodlands, rolling hills and wide open skies, and describes sound as a companion from an early age. Her healing path began when she first stepped onto a yoga mat, at a time when she was burnt out and deeply self-critical. Over the years, yoga, sound healing, non-dual philosophy, world music traditions, transcendental meditation, Reiki, energy healing and voice work have all become threads of her work.

The Setting

The evening takes place at All Saints' Church on Shrublands Road in Berkhamsted, a town in Hertfordshire. A church makes a natural home for a sound bath, with room for the tones of the bowls and voice to carry and settle.

Before You Go

No experience is needed and nothing is asked of you beforehand. The session is designed for receiving sound and energy, so it suits all levels, whether Reiki and sound healing are familiar or entirely new. It is led in English.
