Acerca de Este Evento

Descripción

This yoga retreat in the Sacred Valley of Peru brings together daily vinyasa and slow flow practice, yoga philosophy, and a private day at Machu Picchu. It is led by Reagan Sobel, E-RYT 500, and held for seven days at Samadhi Sacred Valley near Cusco. It suits students of any level who want a week to slow down, practice with a teacher who weaves philosophy into movement, and spend time in the Andes. Yoga teachers can also earn continuing education hours.

What to Expect

Each morning begins with a 60 to 75 minute yoga practice led by Reagan, primarily creative vinyasa and slow flow. Over the week there are three or four interactive workshops. Topics may include yoga philosophy, journaling and self-reflection, alignment from foundational to advanced asanas, meditation, and how to carry yoga beyond the mat.

A sample day runs like this:

- 8:00 to 9:15 am: vinyasa yoga practice
- 9:30 am: breakfast
- Free time
- 11:00 am to 12:30 pm: yoga philosophy workshop
- 12:30 pm: lunch
- Free time or an excursion
- 5:00 to 6:30 pm: breathwork, meditation, or journaling
- 6:30 pm: dinner

Outside of practice, the week includes a Pisac market excursion, an Andean painting workshop, and a cacao ceremony. The centerpiece is a private full-day visit to Machu Picchu, with tickets and bus and train transport arranged. Free time is left open for rest, wandering, or optional extras.

About Reagan Sobel

Reagan Sobel, E-RYT 500, is a yoga teacher and retreat leader based in Charleston, South Carolina, with over 3,000 hours of teaching experience. She has practiced yoga regularly since 2016 and has taught since 2019. Her style blends creative Vinyasa with traditional asana, and her classes invite students to explore the deeper aspects of yoga and mindfulness and bring them into daily life. She loves studying yoga philosophy and history, and she often weaves both into her teaching.

The Setting

Samadhi Sacred Valley is a retreat center surrounded by the Andes, with spaces for yoga, meditation, rest, and community. The Sacred Valley was once the heart of the Incan Empire, and the center offers a quiet place to unplug from everyday distractions. Guests stay in boutique rooms with mountain views. Several room types are offered at different price points and are assigned first come, first served.

Three meals a day are prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. To arrive, fly into Cusco International Airport (CUZ). The retreat center is roughly a 1 to 1.5 hour drive from Cusco through Andean landscapes, and transport to and from Cusco city or the airport is included.
