Acerca de Este Evento

Descripción

Medicine of the Elements is a breathwork retreat led by Tori Spivack with the Roundhouse Community at EarthSpirit Centre in Compton Dundon, Somerset, England. It suits anyone drawn to shamanic breathwork, sweat lodge ceremony and time on the land around Glastonbury, and who wants a few days of purification and renewal as the Equinox arrives.

What to Expect

The retreat blends ancient and modern practices to cleanse body, mind and spirit through the elements and sacred movement. Shamanic breathwork is at the heart of it, alongside yoga and Qi Gong. A Temazcal, a traditional sacred sweat lodge ceremony, offers deep elemental purification. Drumming circles and a cacao ceremony round out the gathering, and the whole is held in a spirit of heart-centred community.

The group also goes out to honour the land by visiting the sacred sites of Glastonbury and Avebury, including the White Spring, Glastonbury Tor and Chalice Well. The aim is to release, reset and realign, taking in the energy of these ancient landscapes and the warmth of shared ceremony.

About Tori Spivack

Tori Spivack hosts this Equinox gathering together with the Roundhouse Community, who invite participants to step into the retreat as a shared, communal experience.

The Setting

The retreat is held at Little Earth, part of EarthSpirit Centre in Compton Dundon. Little Earth is a self-contained eco centre with single, twin and triple ensuite rooms and a large, light yoga space. Meals at the centre are vegetarian, made with fresh home-grown produce, and dietary restrictions can be catered for. The nearest train station is Castle Cary.

Before You Go

Nourishing vegetarian meals are included, along with the breathwork, yoga and Qi Gong, Temazcal, drumming circles, cacao ceremony and the visits to the sacred sites. Because the programme includes a sweat lodge ceremony and visits to hilltop and spring sites, it is worth arriving ready for heat, water and walking outdoors.
