What is the atmosphere of a Charley Thweatt session like?

Charley is known for a talent for turning any room of people into a connected family, and his sessions combine music with spoken reflection. Because this one is online, that sense of connection will come through the screen, so you may enjoy joining with your camera on or in a quiet space where you can sing or listen openly.

Who is this event best suited for?

It suits people drawn to spiritual, heart-centered talks and live acoustic songwriting, particularly in the Unity tradition, which is where Charley regularly speaks. It may be less of a fit if you want a purely entertainment-style concert, since the concert follows a spiritual service and talk.

Does Charley Thweatt do anything beyond talks and concerts?

Yes. He leads workshops and guides spiritual tours of Italy, including a contemplative retreat in a monastery in Assisi limited to 16 participants. His calendar also shows appearances at other Unity churches in Florida and music and workshops at "The Gate" with Donny Epstein in Colorado.

Descripción

Unity Inspired Living in Brentwood, California welcomes singer-songwriter and transformational speaker Charley Thweatt for a Sunday guest speaker and music gathering, held online. It is a spiritual gathering for anyone drawn to Unity-style teaching, heart-centered talks and live songs, and it is followed by a one-hour concert the same morning.

What to Expect

The gathering begins in the morning with Charley Thweatt as guest speaker, weaving his talk together with live music, as he does at Unity communities across the country. The service starts at 10:00 a.m. Pacific and is offered online, so you can take part from home.

At 11:30 a.m. Pacific, a one-hour concert follows. Charley is a troubadour at heart, and the concert gives his songs room to stand on their own, apart from the talk. Those who join for the service are welcome to stay on for the music.

His work is gathered under the idea of "Waking our HeartS, knowing our Peace." He is known for a talent for turning any room of people into a connected family, and that quality is a good guide to the spirit of the morning.

About Charley Thweatt

Charley Thweatt is a singer-songwriter, transformational speaker and workshop leader based in Clearwater, Florida. He has spent more than 40 years as a presenter. As a young man he left a budding architecture career for the touring life of a full-time spiritual troubadour, workshop leader and speaker. Since 1981 he has brought his talks, concerts and workshops to tens of thousands of people on six continents.

He has recorded 18 albums, has appeared on national television and radio, and has been the musical opener for Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Ram Dass, Tony Robbins and Louise Hay. He also makes music for children. Charley guides spiritual tours of Italy as well, and his calendar includes a contemplative retreat at a monastery in Assisi.

Before You Go

This session is online, so all you need is a device with a connection and a quiet place to listen. Times are given in Pacific time: the service at 10:00 a.m. and the concert at 11:30 a.m. No experience with Unity or with any particular practice is required.
