Acerca de Este Evento

Descripción

Coming Home to the Self is a healing workshop at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, led by Deborah Egerton. Over a weekend, it brings together the Enneagram and Internal Family Systems (IFS) as two complementary ways of understanding the self. It is for anyone who wants to deepen self-awareness, soften self-judgment, and meet their protective patterns with compassion.

What to Expect

The Enneagram serves as a map of core motivations, fears, and gifts. Internal Family Systems offers a language for the many "parts" within us that protect, guide, or carry old burdens, and for the calm, grounded presence of Self-energy. The program weaves the two together through teaching, reflection, guided inner exploration, and community connection.

Activities may include:

- Gentle teachings on the Enneagram as a map of motivation, protection, and transformation
- An introduction to IFS and the language of parts, protectors, burdens, and Self-energy
- Guided reflective practices for identifying and listening to your inner parts
- Journaling prompts for personal integration
- Small-group and whole-group sharing in a compassionate, grounded container
- Somatic and contemplative practices that support presence and nervous system awareness
- Exercises on how Enneagram type and inner parts shape relationships, communication, and belonging

You leave with a deeper understanding of your Enneagram type, the parts that shape your thoughts and behaviors, and the ways they have tried to protect you. You also take home practical tools for self-inquiry, emotional regulation, compassion, and inner listening.

The weekend begins with check-in in the afternoon, a Kripalu Yoga class, dinner, and an evening program session from 7:30 to 9:00. The full day starts with yoga at 6:30 am and a silent breakfast, followed by a morning session from 9:00 to 11:30 and an afternoon session from 1:30 to 4:00, with lunch between them. Another yoga class and dinner close the day. On the last morning there is yoga, silent breakfast, and a final session from 9:00 to 11:00, then lunch and departure. Times may shift slightly, and the schedule given at check-in has the final details and room locations.

The Setting

The program takes place on campus at Kripalu in Stockbridge, in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Accommodations are intentionally simple, designed to help you unplug. Rooms are ready by 4:00 pm, and a luggage room is available if you arrive earlier. Check-out on the last day is at 10:00 am, though you may remain on campus and join workshops until 2:00 pm.

Three meals are served each day, with vegetarian options, and breakfast is taken in silence. Access to the Kripalu grounds is included.

Before You Go

No prior experience is required with the Enneagram, Internal Family Systems, yoga, or meditation. The program is taught in English and is open to all levels.
