Descripción
What does it mean to be fully human right now—in a time of planetary transformation? This four-day workshop at Omega Institute invites you into that essential question, not through abstract theory but through direct experience in nature, guided meditation, and honest dialogue with others who are grappling with the same uncertainties. Led by Regan Stacey, founder of The Forest Therapy School, Climate & Spirituality weaves together forest bathing, nature meditation, mindful movement, and creative reflection to help you cultivate a deeper kinship with the living world.
Rather than offering spiritual bypassing or easy answers, this retreat creates brave, supported space to explore the emotional dimensions of ecological awareness. You'll work directly with climate-based emotions—grief, hope, rage, wonder—while considering timeless concepts like interconnection, impermanence, and deep time. This is contemplative work grounded in reality: a chance to process what you're feeling, harvest wisdom with a community of conscious seekers, and ultimately celebrate the aliveness of this moment across past, present, and future.
Whether you're new to forest therapy or a seasoned practitioner, this workshop offers a pathway toward deeper resilience and meaning-making during uncertain times.
What to Expect
Over four days in the autumn landscape of the Hudson Valley, you'll move through a carefully designed arc of practices and inquiry:
- Forest bathing and nature meditation sessions that slow your nervous system and attune you to the subtle aliveness around you
- Mindful movement and embodied practice that grounds ecological awareness in your body
- Group dialogue and circle work where you'll share honestly and listen deeply with fellow participants
- Creative reflection (journaling, art, movement) that helps you integrate insights and process emotions
- Guided exploration of deep time and interconnection, examining how your personal journey connects to larger ecological and spiritual rhythms
Regan Stacey creates an atmosphere of trust and authenticity, honoring both the grief and the resilience available to us in this moment. You'll leave with tools for working with climate emotions, a renewed sense of connection to the Earth, and a community of people committed to conscious living.
