How Meditation Teachers Grow on Insight Timer in 2026

Lou Redmond opens a sixteen-minute video in December 2025 with a question many meditation teachers are quietly asking: is Insight Timer still worth the effort? Redmond, a teacher on the platform since 2016 who reports more than 50,000 followers, two million plays, and over $200,000 in total revenue, says yes, and he lays out a working method built on measuring what moves, shaping a clear body of work, serving the needs people actually bring to the app, and using courses to deepen trust. The video is less a pep talk than a field report from someone who keeps a spreadsheet, reads his own numbers closely, and treats the platform as one part of a sustainable practice rather than a lottery ticket.

What does a teacher's revenue screen look like at the start of the day?

Picture a laptop with a monthly statement open. Redmond has just found a new feature Insight Timer rolled out: a revenue view where you can rest your cursor over a month and see its breakdown by color. He describes this as a way to see at a glance what is changing and what is growing. Then he goes further. Screenshot each month, he suggests, drop the images into a chatbot, and ask for a graph of each category, then ask for the percentage change month to month.

He is candid about what the screen showed him. "I made less money this year," he says in the video, adding that a month of the year's revenue was still outstanding when he recorded it. The numbers dipped and then climbed back, and that trajectory is the point. A teacher who sees only the total in a payout email can feel the swings without knowing their cause. A teacher who tracks the components can start asking why.

The principle underneath comes from management thinking Redmond cites directly. "There is a famous business quote by Peter Ducker that says, 'What gets measured gets managed,'" he says, acknowledging that intuitive, feeling-led teachers often let this stuff slide. His argument is that a spreadsheet does not replace intuition. It gives intuition something to check against. Once you can line up a month of premium content against a month when you were featured in a live event, you can see which of your own actions produced a bump in plays or revenue and do more of that.

Why does return rate matter more than total plays?

This is the most specific insight in the first part of the video, and it is the one that changes behavior. Redmond has noticed that return rate bonus makes a large difference to revenue. A track that gets played and brings listeners back can earn noticeably more than a track with heavy plays and weak return. The practical conclusion he draws is to focus on premium content, and especially newer premium content, because newer work tends to receive the strongest return rate.

He is honest about the flip side. A large catalog of older material, including many of his free tracks, is not getting strong return bonuses. That is not a reason to delete a back catalog, but it is a reason to stop treating every old track as a steady earner. For a teacher with years of recordings, the useful question becomes which pieces are still pulling people back and which are simply sitting there.

Redmond also suggests using the same chatbot approach to ask for interpretation, not only charts: what insights stand out, and what questions does the data raise? He frames this as a way to build your own understanding of your numbers rather than borrowing someone else's formula.

What are content pillars, and how are they different from a niche?

The second step in Redmond's sequence is defining content pillars, which he calls "core areas of transformation that your body of work is built upon." He draws a clear line between pillars and niche. The niche, in his telling, is about who you work with. Pillars are about the content your niche, and potentially other people, would want to take in.

He offers three questions to help dial them in. The first asks what areas of transformation you have already lived through. Because you have firsthand experience, these tend to be the most authentic themes you can share. The second asks what you want to be known for. He gives examples of the shape the answer can take: the confidence person, the gratitude person, the consistency person. The third is a thought experiment: if you had a billboard that reached billions of people, what would it say? Redmond suggests the answer reveals the core transformation you feel called to offer.

Pillars do two jobs. They tell you where to go when you are deciding what to create next, and they give you a frame for staying coherent over years. Redmond says you want to stay in line with most of your pillars while leaving room to experiment. He also recommends revisiting this work periodically, because, as he puts it, "we always change." For a teacher whose catalog spans years, that is a useful reminder that the pillars you wrote in 2016 may not be the ones that describe your work now.

Should you give listeners what they want, even if it isn't your art?

This is the most debated instruction in the video, and Redmond is careful about how he frames it. He points to the way Insight Timer describes itself: in a recent Instagram bio change, he notes, the platform called itself "the world's leading app for anxiety, sleep, and meditation." Anxiety and sleep are listed first and second, he says, because that is what most people are looking for. The platform speaks to the people it is attracting, and in his experience, "anxiety and sleep content does the best."

His advice is not to abandon your pillars for sleep tracks. It is to find the overlap. If your pillar is confidence, you might create sleep affirmations built around confidence. If your pillar is meditation technique, you might tailor a specific practice, such as a loving-kindness meditation, toward anxiety. Redmond's logic is that a listener who finds a powerful sleep-and-confidence affirmation will want to see what else you have, and that the person who arrives looking for sleep help may be exactly the person who needs your deeper work on confidence. He describes it as a way of filtering people from one piece of content into the rest of your catalog.

"Anxiety and sleep content does the best. And so, even if your content pillar is on confidence or self-care, I want you to think of how can you also experiment with tracks aligned with some of the top five."

Lou Redmond, YouTube video, December 2025 (around 6:12)

He is explicit that this is about balance. He describes himself as someone who believes in finding your own artistic voice, and he says that mixing in what people want is a yes-and, not a replacement.

Why do courses matter more than tracks on Insight Timer?

Redmond's blunt formulation for the fourth point is "Courses get clients." He says courses are the number one way to monetize on the app, and his experience is that they change the relationship with a listener. He describes people who book a discovery call for his coaching and say in the inquiry that they have taken his courses and want to go deeper. The course, in other words, works as a first meeting that makes the next step feel natural.

Tracks, he argues, are where people first encounter your voice. Courses are where they begin to trust you with a sustained process. That sequence mirrors how many teachers actually build relationships offline, and it explains why he treats courses as both a growth tool and a revenue line rather than an extra.

"Courses get clients. Not only are courses the number one way to monetize on the app, but I can't tell you how many times someone has come booked a discovery call for my coaching."

Lou Redmond, YouTube video, December 2025 (around 8:04)

How can tracks build trust, authority, and momentum?

Redmond's next moves are about making existing work do more. He suggests referencing the work you do with clients inside your tracks. The coaching questions you use in private sessions, the reflections that shift people, the patterns you see again and again, can become material in a meditation without breaking confidentiality or the intimacy of the practice. The effect, he suggests, is to show listeners the depth behind the recording and to deepen trust.

He also recommends promoting courses and tracks to one another. Within a track, you can point listeners to a related premium piece or a course. He describes free listeners as a particular audience to speak to in those moments, since they may be the ones most open to a next step. The aim is not to fill every track with calls to action but to make the path from one piece to the next visible.

Redmond also pushes you to maximize the work you already do. He describes a habit of repurposing: a talk recorded for one audience can become material for another, and the work you have already created can serve several formats. For a teacher who feels that every new recording demands new energy, this reframing is a relief. Much of what you need may already exist in a recording, a workshop, or a conversation.

Why do community and consistency beat hacks?

The last stretch of the video moves from tactics to temperament. Redmond urges teachers to find community, describing the way people doing this work together can be genuinely infectious. Shared goals and mutual encouragement, he suggests, help a teacher keep going when the numbers are discouraging.

His closing instruction is to fall in love with the process. He describes the slow, cumulative shifts that come from showing up, and frames the platform as a long game. Even the tips he gives are presented as ones that still apply in 2026, and he returns to a simple, repeatable habit: keep creating, keep measuring, keep refining. A hack promises a spike. A practice produces a body of work that keeps paying back over time, including the older tracks that, with a fresh look at their numbers, may still have something to offer.

Where to go from here

If you are a meditation teacher, coach, or mindful creator deciding where to put your energy on Insight Timer, Redmond's sequence is a practical place to start. Begin with the numbers: export or screenshot your monthly revenue, build a simple spreadsheet, and look at the components rather than the total. Next, write your content pillars using his three questions about lived experience, what you want to be known for, and the billboard. Then look for the overlap between those pillars and what listeners are searching for, especially anxiety and sleep. Make your newest premium work the priority, since return rate rewards it. Build a course that gives people a sustained path with you, and let your tracks point toward it. Finally, find a few peers doing similar work and commit to the process long enough for the compounding to show.

Redmond points viewers to a free training on attracting clients with guided meditations, a free course on scripting unique guided meditations, and a mentorship program focused on growing on Insight Timer, all linked in the video's description. Treat them as optional next steps. The core of the video stands on its own: measure what is happening, know what you are here to say, meet people where they are, and keep making the work.

[0:00] Hello friends. I am so excited to share

[0:03] this video on how to succeed on Insight

[0:05] Timer in 2026. If you've been asking

[0:08] yourself, how do I approach Insight

[0:10] Timer in 2026? Is it even still worth

[0:13] putting energy and effort into Insight

[0:15] Timer? And if so, what are the best

[0:18] strategies to implement so that you make

[0:21] the most out of your effort? This video

[0:24] is for you. For those that are newer to

[0:26] me or my channel, quick background. I've

[0:28] been a teacher on Inside Timer since

[0:30] 2016. I have over 50,000 followers, two

[0:33] million plays on my tracks, and I've

[0:35] earned a total revenue of over $200,000.

[0:38] And in 2026, Insight Timer is still

[0:41] going to be a core pillar of revenue and

[0:44] focus for me. So, let's break down what

[0:46] you can do so that you make the most of

[0:48] your efforts in 2026. Number one, track

[0:52] your numbers.

[0:53] There is a famous business quote by

[0:56] Peter Ducker that says, "What gets

[0:58] measured gets managed." If you're like

[1:00] me, you're probably more of a feeler and

[1:02] this stuff can get lost by the wayside.

[1:04] But I think it's important to take your

[1:07] monthly revenue statements to put them

[1:10] in a spreadsheet to track them over time

[1:14] and to see the percentage of what is

[1:16] changing because then you'll be able to

[1:19] look at, well, what did I do last month?

[1:20] Oh, I did more premium content or oh, I

[1:24] got featured on this live event and I

[1:26] saw a boost in my revenue or I saw a

[1:28] boost in my plays. It will allow you to

[1:31] make connections so that you can do more

[1:33] of whatever is working. So, I'm going to

[1:35] show you what that looks like for me and

[1:37] also show you an amazing new feature

[1:39] that Insight Timer just rolled out that

[1:41] will help you do this at a glance. So,

[1:43] let's begin with the new feature that

[1:45] Insight Timer just rolled out, and that

[1:47] is the ability to do a revenue scan at a

[1:51] glance that we can literally just put

[1:53] our cursor over it and see the breakdown

[1:56] that we had each month. And so, this is

[1:59] great to just see what's changing,

[2:01] what's growing. We can see it by color,

[2:03] which is really nice. And what I want to

[2:05] encourage you to do is to take these

[2:06] numbers and you can literally now

[2:08] because they have it so easily, you can

[2:09] screenshot each month, throw it into

[2:12] chatbt and ask it to create a graph for

[2:16] you that shows each breakdown that you

[2:20] can then look at something like this.

[2:23] So, my head's going to get in the way

[2:25] here, but you could see how I broke

[2:27] these down by track plays, free plays,

[2:29] return rate, just each section that we

[2:31] just saw. Break that down. Now, I made

[2:35] less money this year. There's still a

[2:37] month left in this revenue. And I'll do

[2:38] another full breakdown of my revenue on

[2:41] Insight Timer coming up in the new year.

[2:43] So, if you're not subscribed, make sure

[2:45] you're subscribed to see that. And so,

[2:47] one, this is me managing it, me giving

[2:50] energy, seeing what's moving, how things

[2:52] are growing. And what I did is also I

[2:53] asked Chad GBPT to give me the

[2:56] percentage change so I can see what's

[2:58] happening each month going down down

[3:00] down down and then it shifts back up

[3:03] recently. And um one of the insights

[3:05] that I've been able to glean is just how

[3:07] important return rate bonus is on a uh

[3:10] revenue amount that if your track is

[3:13] getting played and has a good return

[3:15] rate, you could see that there's a big

[3:17] difference. And so I've been able to

[3:18] take some of those insights from just

[3:20] looking at this and make sure that I'm

[3:23] focused on premium content, especially

[3:25] newer content, because newer content is

[3:27] going to get the best return rate.

[3:29] Unfortunately, if you're like me and you

[3:31] have a bunch of older content that's not

[3:33] getting great return rate bonus, which

[3:35] you can see happening on a lot of my

[3:37] free tracks. And so hopefully you can

[3:39] create your own insights. And what I

[3:40] also encourage you to do is take this,

[3:43] throw it into chatbt and say, "Hey, what

[3:46] insights do you see about what's working

[3:48] on Insight Timer for me? Any questions

[3:51] you have for me?" So, this is a really

[3:52] cool way to play and get more

[3:54] understanding around your numbers and

[3:56] hopefully help you in your strategy.

[3:59] Moving on to number two, define your

[4:02] content pillars.

[4:03] Your content pillars are your core areas

[4:06] of transformation that your body of work

[4:10] is built upon. And so it's a little bit

[4:13] different than niche, which is who you

[4:16] work with. Your content pillars are like

[4:19] what is the content that your niche and

[4:21] potentially other people would want to

[4:24] take? And there's a few questions that I

[4:26] ask to help people dial in their content

[4:28] pillars. One is what are the areas of

[4:31] transformation that you've already

[4:33] experienced in your life. These are

[4:35] always going to be great place to find

[4:36] the core topics and themes that you can

[4:39] share because you have firsthand

[4:40] experience. Number two is what do you

[4:43] want to be known for? If you were the

[4:46] blank person on Insight Timer, what is

[4:49] in that blank? You're the the confidence

[4:52] person. You're the the gratitude person.

[4:56] you're the consistency person. Think

[4:59] about what do you want to be known for?

[5:01] And the next question I'll offer here is

[5:03] if you had a billboard that reached

[5:05] billions of people, what would it say? I

[5:09] bet that message tells you a lot about

[5:11] the core transformation or theme that

[5:14] you are here to give to the world. Now,

[5:17] there are a lot of questions and

[5:19] reflections that I do with people to

[5:20] help them find their content pillars.

[5:22] And I break this down even deeper in a

[5:25] free training on how to attract clients

[5:28] with guided meditations. If you haven't

[5:30] checked out that training, you can sign

[5:31] up and get the link to it for free

[5:33] below. So check that out in description.

[5:35] And if you haven't done any sort of

[5:37] content pillar work before, I think this

[5:39] is a must for the line of work that

[5:42] we're in. And if you haven't done a

[5:45] content pillar workshop or worked on

[5:47] that for yourself in a while, I think

[5:49] it's a great one to keep checking in

[5:51] with because we always change. So, go

[5:54] check that out in the description if you

[5:55] need some more support. Once you have

[5:56] your content pillars, they give you the

[5:59] place where you go to when you're

[6:01] looking for what content that you're

[6:03] going to create. You want to stay in

[6:04] line with most of your content pillars,

[6:07] but also leave room to experiment. Which

[6:10] leads me to number three. Give the

[6:14] people what they want. Insight Timer

[6:18] recently changed their Instagram bio to

[6:19] read the world's leading app for

[6:23] anxiety, sleep, and meditation. And the

[6:27] reason they have anxiety and sleep as

[6:29] one and two is because that is what most

[6:32] people are looking for. So they are

[6:35] speaking to the people that they seem to

[6:38] be attracting into the app. So, what

[6:39] does that mean? Anxiety and sleep

[6:41] content does the best. And so, even if

[6:44] your content pillar is on confidence or

[6:49] self-care, I want you to think of how

[6:52] can you also experiment with tracks

[6:55] aligned with some of the top five,

[6:58] sleep, stress, anxiety, mourning. And it

[7:02] might be trying out a brand new style of

[7:05] meditation, brand new theme, or it might

[7:08] just be tailoring your content pillar

[7:11] and having different pieces of content

[7:13] that are supporting sleep. So it could

[7:16] be if your content pillar was

[7:17] confidence, you have sleep affirmations

[7:20] for confidence. Or if your content

[7:22] pillar was meditation techniques, you

[7:26] tailor a specific meditation technique.

[7:29] let's say like a loving kindness

[7:32] practice for anxiety. So just working in

[7:36] you know me if you've been around my

[7:37] content that I'm all about you finding

[7:39] your art and really expressing yourself

[7:42] but also yes and mixing in a little bit

[7:46] of what the people want because if

[7:48] someone takes that sleep confidence

[7:50] affirmation meditation from you they

[7:52] know like oh that was really powerful

[7:53] let me see what else they have and they

[7:55] are also waking human beings that might

[7:58] need some more help in confidence and so

[8:00] now you're building out and reaching

[8:01] more people filtering them into other

[8:04] content that you have. Number four, put

[8:06] this mantra into your head for 2026.

[8:09] Courses get clients. Not only are

[8:13] courses the number one way to monetize

[8:16] on the app, but I can't tell you how

[8:19] many times someone has come booked a

[8:22] discovery call for my coaching and on

[8:24] the inquiry they say, "I've taken your

[8:26] courses and you've really helped me and

[8:28] I want to go deeper." So, the courses

[8:31] are where you get to show your

[8:34] transformation and really deepen trust

[8:36] and deepen connection with people that

[8:39] make them want to go deeper into your

[8:41] work. Since we just talked about content

[8:43] pillars, I want you to think of building

[8:44] out your courses based on your content

[8:47] pillars. Those are great areas of

[8:48] transformation that you're known for,

[8:50] and then you're going to attract the

[8:51] right people because you're doing

[8:53] courses that are aligned with the theme

[8:55] and the people that you actually help.

[8:57] Courses are not only good for getting

[9:00] clients directly, but also to position

[9:03] yourself as an expert off of Insight

[9:06] Timer to do marketing in a way that is

[9:09] not just on social media. Here's what I

[9:12] mean. Where Insight Timer lacks in

[9:14] currency, it makes up for incredibility.

[9:17] So, while you'll make more money if you

[9:18] got a 100 people into your own course,

[9:21] having a 100 people take a course of

[9:23] yours on Insight Timer and then

[9:26] positioning yourself as an expert in

[9:28] that topic of your content pillar and

[9:32] reaching out to podcasts and saying

[9:34] something like this. Hi podcast hosts,

[9:36] my name is Lou. I'm a teacher on the

[9:38] world's most popular meditation app,

[9:40] Inside Timer. It was just featured on

[9:43] articles like Forbes and the New York

[9:45] Times. you share with them, I have a

[9:47] course on building confidence in

[9:49] everyday life. It has over a 100

[9:52] students and is a rating of 4.8. Uh, I'd

[9:56] love to come on your show and talk about

[9:58] my four key pillars of confidence. So,

[10:02] now you're positioned as a teacher on

[10:04] the world's most popular meditation app

[10:06] with a course that has great reviews.

[10:09] and then you can get on their podcast

[10:11] and talk about your message and get in

[10:14] front of their audience and then build

[10:16] your business and do marketing in a way

[10:17] that maybe feels more aligned to you

[10:19] than jumping on Instagram. So, it's a

[10:21] really great platform to then also take

[10:24] into speaking opportunities that you

[10:26] might get. You can do that same pitch to

[10:28] a company and say, "Hey, I'm an expert

[10:30] at the world's leading meditation app,

[10:32] Insight Timer. We've just been featured

[10:33] in Forbes, New York Times, and I teach

[10:36] on self-confidence in the workplace."

[10:38] you can see my course. It has 100 people

[10:40] in it, 4.9 review, and I'd love to come

[10:42] to your company and discuss bringing in

[10:45] my four pillars of confidence in the

[10:47] workplace. Um, thanks for considering

[10:49] and you might have a speaker page. So,

[10:51] it becomes again where it lacks in

[10:54] currency, it makes up incredibility,

[10:56] which eventually will make up in

[10:58] currency. Number five, reference the

[11:00] work you do with clients within your

[11:03] tracks. not promoting your coaching in a

[11:06] track, but talk about the actual

[11:08] experiences with clients or the actual

[11:10] processes that you would use. An example

[11:12] of this, I posted a talk that had three

[11:15] powerful coaching questions that I might

[11:17] ask my clients and I explained

[11:19] situations where that question would be

[11:22] most helpful. And from that talk, I had

[11:25] someone immediately reach out and became

[11:27] a coaching client because you got a

[11:28] taste of what it might sound like or

[11:31] feel like. And so think about what that

[11:32] is for you. Whether it's questions that

[11:34] you ask, practices that you do, um

[11:37] exercises that you might have them go

[11:38] through. I know this could be different

[11:40] depending on the coaching that you do,

[11:41] but still talk about the transformation

[11:43] that your clients are having within your

[11:45] app so that people understand, oh, oh,

[11:47] you work with clients, maybe you could

[11:49] work with me. Number six, promote your

[11:52] courses and tracks within other tracks

[11:55] and talks and pieces of content. We

[11:58] can't tell people to go off the app, but

[12:01] we can share other things that we have

[12:03] going on in the app. And so starting to

[12:06] get strategical around what are the

[12:08] courses that I have and you should have

[12:11] an idea based on your content pillars

[12:13] and building out more courses in the new

[12:14] year. And then as you launch a pre-track

[12:18] or a premium track, at the end of those

[12:20] tracks, say, "Hey, if you like this, I

[12:22] have a course that can help you go

[12:24] deeper into this." Um, and it might be a

[12:26] premium into a course. And on a free

[12:28] track, you might talk about, hey, if you

[12:30] like this, I have a premium track. And

[12:32] if you're a free user, maybe you

[12:33] consider subscribing to a premium track

[12:37] that I have for you to go deeper. So,

[12:38] you're building Insight Timer's revenue

[12:41] by doing that and promoting it, which is

[12:42] ultimately going to help us all grow and

[12:44] help Insight Timer grow. And since it's

[12:46] a percentage model, we all win. And so

[12:49] thinking about doing it in a in a not

[12:51] super promoty way, but there's a way to

[12:54] just say, "Hey, if you want to go

[12:55] deeper, I have a course on this. Go

[12:56] check it out the course tabs, and I love

[12:58] to support you." So continue thinking

[13:00] about sending people to other pieces of

[13:02] content that you have. Number seven,

[13:04] make the most out of the work that you

[13:07] do. If you create a meditation, ask

[13:10] yourself, "How can I make a newsletter

[13:13] about this meditation I created? and how

[13:15] can I put this meditation on YouTube? Or

[13:19] maybe I do a little talk that I can put

[13:21] on YouTube and I'll link to the

[13:23] meditation. Or I'll take the concept of

[13:26] my newsletter and I'll make a carousel

[13:28] and I'll put it on Instagram or I went

[13:31] live and as I went live I actually

[13:33] recorded the meditation and I'm going to

[13:35] put it on YouTube. So really try to get

[13:37] the most out of the work that you're

[13:38] already doing so that you can grow your

[13:41] work outside of Inside Timer and in

[13:43] other places. Number eight is find

[13:46] community.

[13:48] Being around others that are doing this

[13:51] work together is so infectious. I have a

[13:53] personal group of uh some Insight Timer

[13:55] teachers that I meet with weekly. I also

[13:57] just finished up my Insight Timer

[13:59] momentum mastermind this year and the

[14:02] energy that people came in with and when

[14:04] they working with people all on a shared

[14:06] goal, there's something that shifts in

[14:08] the intention and the care and the

[14:10] content that they're able to create. And

[14:12] so I encourage you to find other people

[14:14] doing this. There's Facebook groups. You

[14:16] can check one out, Inside Timer

[14:17] Teachers, that has people doing meetups.

[14:19] I know Tom Evans is still giving so much

[14:22] to that group and having meetups and

[14:23] supporting teachers. And if you'd like

[14:25] to get deeper support and be in a

[14:28] intensive mastermind with me, so make

[14:30] sure you're subscribed to my newsletter

[14:31] below so that you get updated on when I

[14:33] run that program again in the future.

[14:35] Number nine, fall in love with the

[14:38] process. I did an interview with

[14:40] Christopher Plowman, the CEO of Insight

[14:42] Timer this year, and hearing his vision

[14:45] for where Insight Timer is going, where

[14:48] the users continue to grow, where the

[14:50] teachers continue to grow. And you might

[14:52] ask yourself, Lou, yeah, the revenue is

[14:54] not huge right now, but the best time to

[14:58] be an anti-timer was five, six, seven

[15:01] years ago. And as the Chinese proverb

[15:04] goes, the second best time is starting

[15:06] now. So if you are committed to doing

[15:09] this work for the long game and love the

[15:12] Insight Timer community, then just

[15:14] falling in love with the process of

[15:16] creating, letting go of attachment to

[15:18] the outcome is going to be the biggest

[15:19] recipe. It's the number one strategy I

[15:21] tell everyone. If you're looking for a

[15:22] strategy, here it is. One new meditation

[15:25] a week, one live event a week, a new

[15:28] course every 3 months, add in more as

[15:32] you feel inspired. But if you can just

[15:34] commit to that for one year, two years,

[15:37] 3 years, you are going to start seeing

[15:40] results and you are going to be changed

[15:41] in the process. So, I hope you found

[15:44] these helpful. They were completely

[15:46] different, most of them from my 2025

[15:49] recommendations. So, if you haven't

[15:50] checked out that video, all of them

[15:52] still apply. So, I'll link that below

[15:55] for you so you can check out the 2025

[15:56] tips. They all apply to 2026 still, but

[15:59] I wanted to make this video new and

[16:01] special for you. So, let me know how I

[16:02] did. Leave a comment which one resonated

[16:04] for you. I'd love to continue to support

[16:07] you on your path to being the best

[16:10] insight timer teacher in the new year.

[16:13] And one last time, I just finished up

[16:15] this beautiful webinar where I help

[16:17] teachers use meditations to attract

[16:18] clients. We go over content pillars. We

[16:20] go over a content framework. And if you

[16:22] haven't checked that out, there's a free

[16:24] link. Go check it out in the description

[16:25] below. And I look forward to supporting

[16:27] you in the coming year. Take care.

Preguntas Frecuentes

Lou Redmond, a teacher on the platform since 2016, says yes and describes Insight Timer as a core pillar of his revenue and focus for 2026. He reports more than 50,000 followers, two million plays, and over $200,000 in total revenue. His argument is that success depends on measuring results and using a clear strategy rather than chasing hacks.
In Redmond's experience, a track that gets played and brings listeners back can earn a noticeably larger revenue share than one with heavy plays but weak return. He says newer premium content tends to get the best return rate, while many of his older free tracks are not performing as strongly. That is why he recommends focusing on newer premium work.
Redmond defines content pillars as core areas of transformation your body of work is built on, and says a niche describes who you work with. He suggests three questions to find them: what transformations you have lived through, what you want to be known for, and what message you would put on a billboard reaching billions of people.
Redmond points to Insight Timer's own description of itself as the world's leading app for anxiety, sleep, and meditation, and says anxiety and sleep content does the best. He suggests teachers blend their pillars with these needs, for example by creating sleep affirmations around confidence or a loving-kindness practice aimed at anxiety.
He calls courses the number one way to monetize on the app and says they lead to clients. He describes people who booked discovery calls for his coaching after taking his courses and wanting to go deeper. In his view, tracks introduce your voice and courses build the sustained trust that leads to work together.
Redmond recommends saving your monthly revenue statements in a spreadsheet to track changes over time, and using the platform's new revenue view to see each month's breakdown by color. He also suggests screenshotting months into a chatbot to generate graphs and percentage changes, then asking it what patterns it sees. The goal is to connect actions like featured events or new premium content to changes in plays and revenue.
Redmond does not say to abandon your artistic voice. He advises keeping most content aligned with your pillars while experimenting, and tailoring pieces toward what people search for, such as sleep or anxiety. He frames this as yes-and: mixing in what people want to reach more listeners and then guide them to the rest of your work.
