Start with one of Lee Harris's free monthly Energy Update videos on his YouTube channel. They cost nothing, require no membership, and assume no background. Each is a piece of channeled guidance on current collective energy patterns, delivered in his own voice. In twenty minutes or so you will know whether his sensibility works for you: how he talks about timing, transformation and the emotional climate people are moving through. Hundreds of thousands of people watch these, and they are the clearest sample of what he does. Pick the most recent one, watch it start to finish, and notice whether it leaves you feeling clearer or merely entertained.
Where you go next depends on how you learn.
If you respond to music: go to Rising in Love: Medicine Mantras 3 (December 2025). It has four tracks, so it is a short commitment, and each is built on a single affirmation or intention. It is the most accessible door into the Medicine Mantras series. If you want something newer, Sacred Fire (April 2026, eight tracks) shows where his music is now, and the singles "I Am Enough" and "I Allow My Soul To Rise" are good one-song tests.
If you respond to reading: pick up one of his three channeled books, Energy Speaks, Conversations with the Z's, or The Future Human, all published by New World Library. The Z's are the guides he channels. These give you the philosophical frame behind the videos.
If you want structure and interaction: look at The Portal, his global membership community, which offers live, interactive teachings and practical tools. This is the step to take after you have confirmed the free material resonates, not before. His podcast, Impact the World (nearly 200 episodes across three seasons), is another free route if you prefer conversation to monologue.
Expect directness rather than mystique. Lee describes his approach as grounded and practical, aimed at conscious, sensitive and intuitive people. The core subject is expanding intuition and awareness, and the language is that of energy, emotion and transformation. There is no initiation, no hierarchy and no Sanskrit. His work does not claim descent from a particular teacher or tradition; it draws on contemporary energy work, channeling and the language of transformation coaching.
The music is spare and vocal-forward. Mantra-style tracks repeat affirmations such as "I Am Enough" or "I Allow My Soul To Rise" over restrained arrangements. It is designed to support meditation, not to showcase virtuosity. If you expect complex composition, it will sound repetitive. If you use it for practice, the repetition is the point.
Treating him as a guru. His teaching emphasizes your own discernment and agency. He is not offering enlightenment in a weekend or asking for devotion.
Expecting a traditional lineage. People arriving from Eastern or ceremonial traditions sometimes look for formal structure. It is not there, and the teachings are designed to be self-directed.
Judging the music as background ambience. The albums are meant as functional tools, with specific intentions attached to each piece. Listening once while distracted tells you little.
Expecting secular psychology. The vocabulary is openly spiritual: energy, channeling, heart-centered living. If those terms are a dealbreaker, say so to yourself early rather than fighting the material. If you are merely skeptical, you can still engage with it on its own terms.
Consuming without applying. The work is built around practical use. Watching ten videos without trying anything gets you less than one video and one experiment.
Lee's work tends to land hardest for sensitive or intuitive people who feel overwhelmed by what they absorb from others, which is the territory behind the mantra "I Release Any Energies That Are Not Mine." It also lands in periods of transition: a career or creative shift, the end of a chapter, or a feeling of being on the edge of something not yet formed. He mentors creatives, healers and entrepreneurs, so people trying to bring their gifts into the world are a natural audience. If you are in a stable stretch and simply curious, the material is still approachable, but it speaks most strongly when something is already moving in you.
Day 1: Watch the most recent Energy Update. Write down one sentence on what stood out.
Day 2: Listen to "I Am Enough" once, with no other activity. Notice your body.
Day 3: Play the four tracks of Rising in Love: Medicine Mantras 3 in order, ideally while sitting quietly.
Day 4: Watch an earlier Energy Update, or listen to an episode of Impact the World. Compare it with Day 1.
Day 5: Read the opening of one of the books, Energy Speaks being a sensible first pick, or sample Conversations with the Z's if the channeling aspect interests you most.
Day 6: Listen to Sacred Fire (eight tracks) as a morning or evening practice. Repeat a track that held your attention.
Day 7: Review your notes. Decide which format pulled you most: video, music, books or podcast. If the live, interactive side appeals, look into The Portal. If not, keep the free material in rotation.
By the end of the week you will know your preferred door and whether further commitment makes sense.
