Sobre Este Evento

Descrição

Follow Your Light in Portugal is a week-long yoga retreat on the Algarve coast, led by Kacy Harnedy at Quinta do Muro in Peraboa. It is open to practitioners of all levels and suits anyone who wants a week of yogic philosophy, pranayama, asana and meditation in a quiet setting, with good food and room to rest.

What to Expect

The week holds a steady daily rhythm. Mornings begin with meditation and asana, and a late afternoon or evening practice closes the day. Across the six nights, the teaching draws on flow yoga, yin and restorative yoga, breathwork, yoga nidra and yogic philosophy. Sound baths and cacao ceremonies appear occasionally.

The retreat opens with a welcome ceremony, so the group can meet one another early. Kacy describes the week as a chance to set worries aside and live with intention, with the aim of building alignment with body, higher self and the world around you through time-honored practices.

Time is also set aside for the place itself. One curated local excursion is included, along with horseback riding on the beach. The Algarve towns of Tavira, Cacela Velha and Fábrica are close by. Kacy recommends renting a car if you want to explore beyond the retreat.

About Kacy Harnedy

Kacy Harnedy is a world-traveling yoga and breathwork teacher who leads wellness and healing retreats around the globe. She teaches under the name Kacy's Sacred Space, which she created as a welcoming place for people to reconnect with themselves and move toward healing and empowerment. Her specialty is pranayama and meditation, with a focus on building emotional awareness. She encourages the strength to embrace emotional processing, and she brings yoga and plant medicine into daily life, which she calls the true essence of Ahimsa. A deep connection to nature led her into herbalism.

The Setting

Quinta do Muro is a thirteen-hectare estate of gardens, orchards and ancient olive trees above the Ria Formosa on the quiet eastern Algarve coast. French architect Pierre-Louis Faloci designed it between 1983 and 1987. It sits minutes from the historic village of Cacela Velha. There is a pool, garden paths and a beach to stroll to.

Classes take place in an outdoor covered yoga shala, which can be enclosed with glass if the weather turns. Mats, cushions and blocks are provided. Indoor and outdoor spaces are available for reading, resting or quiet conversation.

Meals are prepared by an on-site chef, three a day, with strong coffee, herbal tea and spring water. The food is organic and plant-based, with vegetarian cuisine as the baseline in keeping with yogic tradition. Rooms are offered as shared or single accommodation at Quinta do Muro, chosen when booking.

To arrive, fly into Faro Airport (FAO). From there it is about a 45-minute drive to the estate, by rental car or coordinated transport.

Included are six nights of accommodation with taxes, daily morning meditation and asana, the late afternoon or evening practice, transport coordination, beach horseback riding, three meals a day, one local excursion and a welcome gift.
