Sahara Rose is a bestselling author, speaker and spiritual teacher known for making ancient wisdom accessible, embodied and relevant to contemporary life. Her work bridges Eastern philosophy, embodiment practices and creative expression, and she emphasizes lived wisdom over theory, inviting spirituality to be felt and expressed in everyday life.
She hosts the Highest Self Podcast, which her site describes as the #1 spirituality podcast in the U.S. for over nine years, with more than 60 million downloads. Conversations with spiritual teachers and friends sit alongside her channeled solocasts on collective themes and sacred feminine teachings. She approaches spirituality from a feminine perspective that includes love, heartbreak, creativity, intuition, dharma and karma, and she aims to keep it grounded, relatable and fun.
Her path began in service. Born to refugee and immigrant parents, she spent much of her young adult life volunteering with NGOs, serving as president of her local Amnesty International chapter and studying International Development. She came to believe that the truest way to change the world is to change the way people think, and that became her mission of awakening others to the wisdom within them. A major Vata imbalance in her early twenties led her to Ayurveda, which she studied through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, graduating in 2012. She has since taught, written and spoken about Ayurveda for over a decade.
Dharma, the soul's purpose, is at the center of her teaching. She shares her framework in her book Discover Your Dharma, which has a foreword by Deepak Chopra, and she created the Dharma Archetypes system of Visionary, Teacher, Artist, Entrepreneur and Activist. She founded Rose Gold Goddesses, a divine feminine mystery school and membership community, and also offers courses, including Speak With Soul. She makes music as well. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Forbes and Yoga Journal.
