Description
Imagine learning an ancient healing art that transforms not only your own wellbeing but also your capacity to serve others with your hands. This three-day Thai Foot Massage and Reflexology intensive at Kripalu Center invites you into the world of traditional Thai bodywork—a practice that harmonizes anatomy, energetic principles, and intuitive touch. Led by established teacher Shai Plonski, you'll master the skills to deliver a complete, professional-quality 60-minute Thai foot massage, whether for family, friends, or as the foundation of a therapeutic practice.
Thai foot massage and reflexology are profound healing modalities that work with the body's natural wisdom. Unlike typical massage, this practice uses traditional techniques alongside modern tools—including the iconic Thai reflexology stick—to access reflex points that correspond to the entire body's organ systems and energy pathways. Over three immersive days in the Berkshire Mountains, you'll learn with precision and depth, moving from foundational anatomy through to delivering a skillfully integrated session.
No prior experience is necessary. Whether you're seeking personal healing knowledge or professional credentials, this workshop meets you where you are and equips you with tangible, lasting competency.
What to Expect
You'll learn foot preparation protocols, proper oil application techniques, and the anatomical and energetic principles underlying Thai foot reflexology. Each day blends hands-on practice with theory, guided by Shai Plonski's expert instruction. You'll practice on partners and refine your touch, building muscle memory and confidence with every technique.
The experience extends beyond the classroom: Kripalu's residential setting includes daily yoga classes, nourishing meals, and the spacious, healing campus atmosphere. This allows you to integrate your learning within a broader wellness context and deepen your own practice alongside your skill-building.
By the program's end, you'll have the knowledge and hands-on ability to deliver a complete Thai foot massage session—a gift you can offer with integrity and presence.
