Descripción
Imagine spending four days in a container where your deepest commitments to justice and liberation are not separate from your spiritual practice—but inseparable from it. Radical Dharma Summer Camp, led by Rev. angel Kyodo williams Rōshi, is an immersive retreat designed for those already walking the path of racial justice and anti-oppression work. Held at the renowned Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, this September 4–7, 2026 retreat offers something rare: a truth-centered, research-tested framework that goes far beyond surface-level training to examine the internalized patterns of domination we all carry.
This is not a feel-good workshop. It is a rigorous, embodied practice-based retreat grounded in the Radical Dharma framework—an approach specifically designed to address systems of supremacy at both internal and collective levels. Whether you organize in your community, lead within an organization, or move within liberation-focused movements, this camp creates the container you need to deepen your practice, repair harm, and build skills for designing thriving, liberated ecosystems rooted in genuine belonging.
Participants leave with concrete practices, relational frameworks, and a renewed commitment to the work—carrying tools for transformation both within themselves and the systems they touch.
What to Expect
Over four days, you will engage in guided meditation, dharma teachings, and embodied practices led by Rev. angel Kyodo williams Rōshi. The retreat emphasizes presence, truth-telling, and the cultivation of meaningful belonging across lines of difference. Rather than lectures, the experience is built on practice: sitting with discomfort, examining internalized supremacy, and learning to interrupt domination patterns in real time.
The atmosphere is both rigorous and compassionate—a rare blend of accountability and deep care. You will work alongside others similarly committed to justice, creating a field of mutual support and collective learning. By the final day, you will have integrated new frameworks for understanding both your own conditioning and systemic oppression, plus practical skills for building liberation-centered communities and organizations.
Please note: This retreat requires completion of Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love, and Liberation before arrival.
