What would it mean to truly listen to those who came before you? To recognize their wisdom moving through your bones, their unhealed wounds asking for attention, their blessings waiting to be received? Connecting With Our Ancestors is a transformative six-day workshop that invites you to bridge the distance between past and present, between the living and the ancestral realm, through dreamwork, embodied practice, and deep contemplative inquiry.
Led by seasoned teachers Linda Yael Schiller and Kimberly R. Mascaro, this workshop at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY offers far more than intellectual understanding—it provides practical, lived methods for identifying inherited patterns, addressing generational wounds, and accessing the gifts your lineage carries. Whether you're drawn to ancestral work for healing, spiritual deepening, or simple curiosity about the patterns shaping your life, this program meets you where you are and offers concrete tools you can integrate immediately.
Over six days, you'll learn to work with dreams as a bridge between waking and sleeping consciousness, discovering how ancestors communicate through subtle channels. You'll develop a personal ancestral practice that extends far beyond the workshop, giving you lifelong access to the wisdom and support of those who came before.
What to Expect
This immersive workshop weaves together multiple modalities and frameworks to create a rich, multidimensional experience. The Guided Active Imagination Approach (GAIA) forms one core teaching method, complemented by altar work, tree-of-life journeys, yoga nidra, genogram practices, and guided meditation. Each day blends teaching, group dialogue, small and large group exercises, writing, and contemplative work.
You'll learn to recognize intergenerational patterns as they move through your family system—not to blame, but to bring conscious awareness and healing. Through embodied practices and dreamwork, you'll develop skills for ongoing ancestral connection and receive practical wisdom about how to honor your lineage while liberating yourself from inherited wounds.
The atmosphere is supportive, exploratory, and grounded in both spiritual depth and psychological insight. You leave with a sustainable personal practice, a deeper understanding of how ancestral patterns operate, and concrete skills to continue this work long after the workshop ends.
