yoga workshopCreate Mindful Movement Classes for People With Parkinson's
This three-day professional training equips yoga teachers and movement practitioners with evidence-informed methods for leading adaptive classes serving people with Parkinson's disease. Led by Char Grossman, founder of YogaReach® LLC and a certified yoga therapist with background in educational psychology, participants engage in hands-on practice, discussion, and study of neuroplasticity principles alongside adaptive asana, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques. The curriculum addresses both the motor and psychological dimensions of Parkinson's while emphasizing safety, accessibility, and the capacity for resilience in students. Omega's Yoga Service initiative supports practitioners interested in making their skills available to underserved populations. Attendees leave with practical, implementable strategies and the confidence to establish inclusive movement programs in their own communities.
