Descrição

Résonances is a transdisciplinary exhibition pairing photography with original musical compositions, created during the Festival European Polyphony's Residency Programme. The work centers on Greek composer Savvas Karantzias, who lives with a disability and traveled to Tallinn to create a new musical work for the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. Rather than documenting disability through a clinical lens, the exhibition explores alternative ways of being and perceiving through the intersection of image and sound. Each photograph is accompanied by an original composition accessible via QR codes, inviting visitors to experience a sono-visualization—a hybrid artistic object where visual and auditory dimensions transform and enrich one another. The exhibition examines how perception itself becomes subject and medium, asking viewers to consider the vast diversity in how we relate to our senses. This immersive experience encourages reflection on perception when it is altered, enriched, or transformed, without diminishing the artistic integrity of the works.
