Descrição
Power of Intention is a two-night, three-day meditation retreat at Siddhayatan Tirth & Spiritual Retreat Center in Windom, Texas. It is a practice-based workshop on shifting the mind toward purer, higher thoughts, developed by Acharya Shree Yogeesh. It suits anyone who wants to change how they think in order to improve their relationships, focus and spiritual life, whether they are new to intention work or experienced in it.
What to Expect
The retreat centers on the 16 levels of intention, a framework for understanding how your thoughts, speech and actions can become clearer and more compassionate. Across three class sessions you learn self-analysis, a spiritual practice of examining your own thinking so that reactive, lower thoughts can be recognized and turned toward higher ones. Breathwork is part of the program too, including ancient breathing techniques and Purnam Yoga®, taught to help release negativity and support the work of intention. Two mantra and meditation sessions and unscheduled time for reflection give the teaching room to settle.
The rhythm is simple. Day one is arrival, with check-in in the afternoon, the first mantra and meditation session in the early evening, dinner, and lights out at 10:00 pm. On day two, classes run in the morning and again in the afternoon, with the second mantra and meditation session at the end of the day. Breakfast on the general schedule is silent. Day three has the final class in the morning, followed by check-out at noon. Optional Hatha Yoga is offered at 7:00 am on each full morning for an added fee.
Schedules shift slightly in winter, when meals move earlier and the evening session begins at 6:00 pm, so it is worth checking the times for your dates.
About Acharya Shree Yogeesh
Acharya Shree Yogeesh developed the Power of Intention workshop and is the teacher guests associate with Siddhayatan. Past participants also mention Sadhvi Anubhuti as a source of teaching and inspiration at the center. Guests describe the chance to sit directly with a spiritual teacher as one of the things that sets the place apart.
The Setting
Siddhayatan Tirth is an ashram in the Northeast Texas countryside near Windom, run with the guidance of resident monks. It is a quiet, low-distraction place with spaces for walking, sitting in nature and meditating. Guests describe the food as made from scratch and the rooms as simple, comfortable and very clean.
Lodging comes in several forms: individual rooms, double rooms, and group or family rooms that sleep up to eight. Vegetarian meals are included with your accommodations. Guests who want more time can add extra days before or after the program.
Before You Go
No previous experience is needed. The program is open to people of any background, including those with no exposure to spiritual teachings. The retreat includes the three classes, two mantra and meditation sessions, time for reflection and vegetarian meals with lodging. Participants also receive the book Soul Talks: Power of Intention. Lunch on the final day is not included on the general schedule but can be added, and Hatha Yoga is an optional extra.
