Sobre Este Evento

Descrição

Finding Inner Balance is a four-day healing retreat at PachaMama Eco Village & Retreat Center in Nicoya, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. It is led by Amara and brings together therapeutic breathwork, work with the subconscious mind, and heart rate variability biofeedback. It suits people who want practical ways to settle the nervous system and build calm, clarity and vitality they can carry into everyday life.

The retreat rests on the meeting of two tools for inner growth: therapy and neuroplasticity. The aim is what the program calls a healthy flow in daily life, with simple tools for balancing the nervous system and rewiring the subconscious.

What to Expect

The group begins at 3pm on the first day and meets over four days.

The therapeutic side uses breathwork, movement and other techniques to understand, mature and discharge emotional and mental patterns that can otherwise get in the way of the present moment. Inquiry turns toward the parts of oneself that need attention and love, so they can come full circle and be dropped.

The neuroplasticity side is about re-learning. Just as a person can learn a new language, the retreat holds that a person can learn new mental and emotional states such as self-love, abundance and fearlessness. Participants learn how to reach theta, a lower brainwave state that supports learning new behavior and bringing it into daily life.

Biofeedback gives the work a physical reference point. Participants use inner balance devices that monitor heart rate variability (HRV) and show the physical level of coherence and the state of the heart space. With them, you learn to find the "ZONE," where you are present and in unity.

About Amara

Amara's spiritual journey began in 1997 with the recognition that his healing is his own responsibility. He went on to explore different types of therapy and alternative healing, and he studied Chinese medicine philosophy. That path of self-directed exploration informs the blend of therapy, breathwork and brain-based practice he teaches here.

The Setting

The retreat takes place at PachaMama Eco Village & Retreat Center, an eco village setting near Nicoya in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. Accommodation options are available through the retreat's page.
