Crystal Bowl Sound Healer Training: Levels 1 & 2

The Crystal Bowl Sound Healer Training is a certification in crystal singing bowl sound healing, led by Carly Grace and Holly Husler at New House Farm Retreat Centre in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. It runs over three months as three in-person weekends, six full days in all, with online support in between. It is for people who feel drawn to play Alchemy crystal bowls with presence and care, and to offer one-to-one and group sound healing sessions. No previous experience is required.

What to Expect

The training moves between inner practice, musical understanding and the practical work of sharing sound with others. It is held in a small group, with time for practice and personal feedback.

The first weekend lays the foundations: intention setting, presence, the origins of crystal bowls and how to play them, and the science of sound, frequency and brainwave states. You learn to create and ground a safe space and manage your energy, and you begin leading group practice with feedback. There are also sessions on sound meditation and deep listening, intention and prayer, sacral chakra and womb healing, shadow work, facilitating one-to-one sessions, and caring for your bowls, including precautions and contraindications.

The second weekend turns to music and ritual. You study basic music theory, including the octave, harmony, chakras and notes, and explore the musical qualities of your own bowls. You also work on opening and closing sacred space, refine your playing technique, and look at the power of the voice. There is time for the practical side of a sound practice too, including marketing, social media, pricing and the energetics of money. A written theory paper is part of this weekend.

On the third weekend, a full day is given to each student leading a sound healing for the group, with supported feedback. Sound immersions continue through the final day, and the training closes with a Summer Solstice celebration and fire ceremony.

Between weekends, Carly and Holly hold weekly live Silent Sittings, three recorded online Sound Ceremonies to receive and learn from, and a private WhatsApp group for questions. Past participants often mention the warmth of the group and the sense of being supported.

On successful completion you receive Crystal Bowl Sound Healing Levels 1 and 2 certification. The training is accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and qualifies you to offer professional sound healing sessions. You are also welcomed into the Sound Sisters community.
