About the Brahma Kumaris

The Brahma Kumaris is a worldwide spiritual movement led by women, dedicated to personal transformation and world renewal through Rajyoga Meditation. It was founded in India in the 1930s by Dada Lekhraj, known as Brahma Baba, and grew from a small gathering called Om Mandali into an organisation with centres in well over a hundred countries. Its international headquarters are in Mount Abu, Rajasthan.

Rajyoga is practised with open eyes, which the movement describes as making it simple, versatile and accessible to people of all backgrounds. Its core Foundation Course explores consciousness and self-realisation, the relationship with God, the law of karma, the cycle of time and a spiritual lifestyle.
