7-Day Renewal (HUOMN, Sukawati Bali)

The 7-Day Renewal is a somatic healing retreat at HUOMN Retreat Center in Sukawati, Bali, near Ubud. It is for people who want to work with the body rather than the thinking mind: the practices help release and transmute emotional energy blockages, and breathwork is used to ease traumatic stress responses. Think of it as a nervous system reset retreat in Bali, held in small weekly groups of no more than 14 guests.

It is not a psychological or cognitive-therapy retreat, and HUOMN is clear that it is not medical or psychological care and does not replace it.

What to Expect

The program runs for seven days, from Sunday to Saturday. Each day includes breathwork, somatic sessions and yoga. The emphasis throughout is on felt, bodily experience: letting the body do the releasing instead of talking through what has been held.

On the first and last days, your BOLT Score is measured, so you have a simple point of comparison between arrival and departure. The group is capped at 14, which keeps the weeks personal.

Arrival is on Sunday. Check-in opens at 2:00 PM, and orientation begins at 5:00 PM. Guests are asked to arrive by 4:30 PM so the week can begin together.

Optional add-ons are available for those who want them: Balinese massage, energy cleansing and sound healing.

The Setting

HUOMN is based in Sukawati, about 40 minutes from Ubud and about 60 minutes from Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS). Accommodation and all chef-prepared meals are part of the stay, so there is little to organize once you arrive. Airport transfers are not included, so plan your transport before you travel.

Before You Go

Included in the program are your accommodation, all chef-prepared meals, daily breathwork, somatic sessions and yoga, and the BOLT Score measurement on day 1 and day 7. Balinese massage, energy cleansing and sound healing cost extra.

Prices are set in Indonesian rupiah, and current room prices are listed with each week's dates. Payment is by bank transfer only. You can pay a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due on arrival, or pay in full. Full payment is required within 7 days of arrival.

Because this work is somatic and not a substitute for medical or psychological care, anyone with a health concern or a history of trauma may want to speak with their own practitioner before deciding.
