LuChin Mischke is the founder of QiYoga, a gentle, therapeutic practice that brings together qigong, yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine–inspired self-care. It emphasizes slow, mindful movement, breath awareness and smooth energy flow. Many students call it "movement as medicine." Rather than pushing the body, it focuses on restoration, balance and ease, and it aims to calm the nervous system, release tension, gently tone the body and improve mental clarity. It is meant to be accessible, especially for people who find conventional yoga classes challenging.
LuChin completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training with CorePower Yoga and later trained at Spring Forest Qigong, founded by Master Chunyi Lin. As she studied both qigong and yoga, the two grew together into her own therapeutic approach. During a Taiji immersion journey in China, she received her Fengyang Taiji certification through the Shenzhen Culture Institute.
Her own health shaped her teaching. Cupping, gua sha and acupressure have brought meaningful relief from chronic pain related to arthritis and Sjögren's syndrome, and she says that now, in her 60s, she feels strong, capable and at ease in her body. She draws on the Chinese proverb "三分治,七分养": 30% is treatment, 70% is self-care and nourishment. Her guiding belief is that the best medicine is in our body, and that preventive self-care takes discipline.
LuChin teaches through live classes and a library of recorded practices covering qigong, self-healing and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her students describe her as kind, generous with her knowledge and endlessly curious, and they value the international community around her classes.
Worth Knowing
LuChin Mischke is the founder and teacher of QiYoga, a therapeutic practice that weaves together qigong, yoga, and Traditional Chinese Medicine-inspired self-care. What sets her apart in the crowded yoga-teacher landscape is her explicit focus on restoration and accessibility rather than physical achievement—QiYoga is designed for people who find conventional yoga challenging, including older adults and those managing chronic pain or illness. Her students describe her as remarkably kind and generous with her knowledge, and they gather into an international community that values both the specificity of her teaching and her genuine curiosity about each person's needs. Her credibility comes from lived experience: she trained with Master Chunyi Lin at Spring Forest Qigong and completed her 200-hour yoga certification at CorePower Yoga, then synthesized both traditions into her own method. Now in her 60s, she embodies what she teaches—managing arthritis and Sjögren's syndrome through the very practices she offers, making her philosophy feel earned rather than theoretical.
