Descrizione

Magical Damanhur: Temples of Humankind is an eight-day, seven-night pilgrimage and spiritual travel retreat to the Damanhur community in the foothills of the Piedmont Alps, Italy. It is led by Rev. Cynthia James and limited to 20 travelers. It suits people drawn to sacred art, intentional community and inner work who want a small-group experience timed to Damanhur's Summer Solstice celebration.

What to Expect

The week is built around the Temples of Humankind, eight underground halls carved by hand into the mountain and decorated with paintings, mosaics, sculpture and glasswork. You walk through each hall with experienced guides, and in chosen chambers you listen to specially selected instruments meant to deepen your connection to the space.

The timing matters. Damanhur's Summer Solstice ritual is described as the community's most profound of the year, a gathering where hundreds of people from around the world affirm peace, harmony and love for all people. Your group takes part as witnesses within that crowd.

Other parts of the itinerary include:

- A visit to the "Music of the Plants" in the Sacred Woods, where electromagnetic instruments are used to hear the subtle "song" of trees and plants.
- A two-day Past Lives Research course led by Damanhur guides, for exploring soul history, intuition and self-knowledge.
- Side trips to the Egyptian Museum in Turin, the Sacra di San Michele in Piedmont, and the Devil's Bridge in Lanzo Torinese.

A past traveler wrote that Cynthia and her Damanhur counterpart, Crotalo, guided the group throughout, and that each day offered a chance to open to something new.
