À propos de cet événement

Description

The Spring Awakening Yoga and Wellbeing Retreat is a two-night yoga retreat at Hill Farm in Tintern, set in the Wye Valley. It suits anyone who wants a weekend of movement, rest, good food and woodland quiet, whether you are a regular practitioner or arriving tired and in need of a pause. It is led by Hayley Court, founder of Forest Retreats, with daily yoga and meditation at its centre.

What to Expect

The weekend is built around daily yoga and meditation sessions that include flow, yin and restore, so the pace moves between energising practice and deep rest. Alongside these you can expect foraging, a cacao ceremony, time in a wood fired eco spa and holistic therapies, with more woven through the days. The retreat is vegetarian.

Guests describe sessions as well pitched for all abilities, with a good balance of movement and relaxation. Many mention how calm they feel by the end. One guest wrote of arriving frazzled and leaving calm and energised, and another that the only hard part was leaving on the Sunday.

About Hayley Court

Hayley Court established Forest Retreats in 2015 and has been running yoga and wellbeing retreats for ten years. She is an advanced yoga teacher and holistic therapist, and her retreats have been recommended several times by The Guardian, which has named this retreat among its top 10 wellbeing retreats in the UK. Guests call her technically skilled but kind and helpful, and many return. Sam, who works with Hayley at Hill Farm, is warmly remembered by guests for the meals served over the weekend.

The Setting

Hill Farm is a 12 acre woodland above the Wye Valley, with views of the river and Tintern Abbey. The yoga studio looks out over the countryside through patio doors and is equipped with mats, blocks and straps. Guests have described the accommodation as finished to a high standard, some with a small deck with table and chairs for sitting out among the trees.

The farm is about 45 minutes from Bristol on a good run, according to one guest. Forest Retreats also hosts retreats in other locations, including Spain and West Wales, but this one takes place at Hill Farm.

Before You Go

No particular experience is needed, as the yoga is pitched to suit different abilities. Mats, blocks and straps are provided in the studio. The weekend includes yoga and meditation sessions, the cacao ceremony and the eco spa, and the food is vegetarian. Woodland paths and changeable spring weather are worth packing for, so bring layers and footwear you are happy to wear outdoors.
