What time zone is this event listed in, and how do I add it to my calendar?

The event is listed in Eastern Time (America/New_York). The organizer's page offers Add to Google Calendar and iCal/Outlook export options, which will convert the time to your local zone.

Is this event appropriate if I'm not a student of the CSA or Roy Eugene Davis's teachings?

The page doesn't state any membership requirement, and it's presented as a special event meditation hosted online. It will suit people drawn to the Kriya Yoga lineage honoring these two teachers best. If you want a short or non-devotional sit, a two-hour session centered on these commemorations may not be the right fit.

Is there a cost or registration required to attend?

The organizer's page does not list a price or registration steps, only the Zoom link at csaretreat.org. Check that site for current access details before the day.

À propos de cet événement

Description

This online meditation gathers practitioners on Zoom for two hours of guided practice in the kriya yoga tradition. It marks the birthday of Roy Eugene Davis and the mahasamadhi of Swami Sri Yukteswar, and it is led by CSA Spiritual Director Marty Wuttke. Because it is held live online, people can take part from any location.

What to Expect

The session runs two hours, from 10 am to 12 pm Eastern Time. Marty Wuttke guides the meditation throughout, and the gathering is shaped around two occasions: the birthday of Roy Eugene Davis and the observance of the mahasamadhi of Swami Sri Yukteswar. Participants sit at home, joined together live over Zoom, for an extended period of shared practice rather than a short sit.

About Marty Wuttke

Marty Wuttke serves as Spiritual Director of CSA and leads this special event meditation.

Before You Go

The event takes place entirely online on Zoom, so all you need is a quiet place to sit for two hours and a device that can connect. The listing does not specify a required level of experience or any prerequisites. There is no fee listed for this meditation. Since it is a live session on Eastern Time, it helps to check what 10 am in New York means in your own time zone before the day.

FAQ

The session is led by Marty Wuttke, who is identified by the organizer as the CSA Spiritual Director. CSA is the organization behind the csaretreat.org site where the Zoom link is hosted.

The organizer marks two occasions in one session: the birthday of Roy Eugene Davis and the Mahasamadhi of Swami Sri Yukteswar. Mahasamadhi refers to a realized yogi's conscious departure from the body. The event page itself doesn't give biographies, so reading about both teachers beforehand will give you context for the day.

The event runs two hours. The organizer describes it as a 2-hour meditation led by Marty Wuttke, but does not publish a detailed breakdown of segments, so plan to set aside the full block in a quiet place.

The organizer lists the link as csaretreat.org. Use that address to reach the Zoom access for this event. The event is fully online, so no travel or venue is involved.
